You nailed it with your relocation tips, bro. You covered all the bases that matter. I did the same thing before I moved from Chi-town to Africa. I checked out a bunch of countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya and more.
But they didn't do it for me. I ended up in South Africa in 2015, and now I'm a legit citizen.
South Africa is dope for many reasons: best healthcare in Africa, top-notch universities, booming economy, cheap living, mad business opportunities, and awesome quality of life and more. And each state has its own vibe. Jozi is lit. Cape Town is chill and scenic. Mpumalanga is wild. Pretoria is balanced, and that's where I'm at right now.
South Africa is lit. It’s got everything the US has, and more. Trust me, I’ve been chilling here for 8 years.

Thank you for this comment! It’s rare I get an American perspective and this is exactly what I thought. Pretoria seemed really like a good area to have your family. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and watch!

What type of visa did you get? I’m conflicted on which one to apply for

I'm so glad that Black Americans brothers and sisters are actually putting themselves first and making the move back home. And allowing yourself to actually live the life you deserve. We can't wait to see you in Cape Town and enjoy a different kind of Christmas, instead of snow, you'll be at the beach and enjoy amazing summer sea food and festivals that are family friendly. All the best on your travels

I joined your tribe a few weeks ago; love your videos. Your philosophical insights have me thinking about the POSITIVE sides of Loadshedding. As a Geography teacher (here in CT, SA) I recognize many positives in our 'forced' adaptation to life re using renewable energy technologies. What we are doing now, is on the distant horizon for all countries ...

Welcome ! And that is such a great thing to hear from you, I’m glad my videos get you thinking! I think SA really is ahead, and it seems many countries like you said will be following. So we mine as well find positives in it, right? 😊 Thanks for joining the family

I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in December after you moved to your new place in Cape Town, but the days seem to drag on. 😢

Thanks for watching and congratulation on your expected move. Unfortunately I don’t have enough expertise to tell you which visa would be good. If you haven’t yet, go look at the different visas. Based off your situation you should be able to see which/if any, you qualify for. We used the retiree visa because my husband is retired and receives a pension each month so you can see which one aligns with your current situation

Hey Tay I am sure that it must have been a huge step to make a decision to move to the Mother City and leaving family behind though but at the same time the gun violence is starting to get out of control and please come back home sister you are no longer slaves like in the times of the Civil Rights Movement 🌟

Yes the bad is outweighing any good now, and happiness and safety are paramount. Ready for December to get here so we can finally move !
