@@TayllorChanise Welcome home Boss Lady, you will enjoy this Country. Mzansi(South Africa) is becoming extremely expensive because its developing at speed.
On traveling from Gauteng you can obviously travel within South Africa by road or air travel but also countries like Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique (south), Zimbabwe, Botswana. The best thing is you can even use South African money in most of these countries which is great. There are also direct flights to Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco and many others so you are literally one flight away from any of these countries.
The one thing I often hear from foreigners in South Africa is "quality of life". They always tell me that we South Africans take for granted just how good our quality of life is. When I still lived in Cape Town I got on with a lot of Germans and Danes who didn't want to go back home. One of them actually had to be deported (LOL). And she said "Siya, you do not realize how good you have it here. In Germany everybody is miserable." Because I hear it so often, I try to spend every day thinking about that now, especially since I moved back home to KwaZulu-Natal, which is as gorgeous as it gets in South Africa. Now that I am taking time to notice it, I wake up feeling immensely grateful every single day. I am glad you are loving it here, and I am loving what appears to be a trend of African Americans making the move. We welcome everything that you have to offer what is already a cultural melting pot.
@@siyabongamchunu4342 I agree with the other foreigners and immigrants, the quality of life is amazing here compared to some of the places we come from. @@khotsoramphele2961 maybe I’ll make a video addressing this question from my perspective But in a small summation: I think life is what you make it. You have to make smart decisions, be methodological in nature and logical to be successful in any new venture. So there’s a possibility that they weren’t thinking smart or moving smart their new communities. Or perhaps didn’t properly plan.
@@TayllorChaniseThe fact that Cape Town is still somewhat backwards, if I may add, is, in my humble opinion, the reason why those American families had some difficulty there. Although you may not encounter it at all, there are still more communities that discriminate against people based on the color of their skin.
That is a good suggestion @khotsoramphele296. People who end up creating a bad experience in a country they emigrate to is due to lack of planning including managing financial aspects, understanding cultural differences, find suitable accommodation, and potentially secure employment or a source of income in your new location. Without preparation you will definitely create a steep experience for yourself in that country. A lot of us who relocated from SA to the USA with little planning thinking it was going to be a walk in the park got a rude awakening. I am not sure why people from Western countries assume that relocating to other countries will be a picnic; when they have an example of immigrants in their countries pushing and fighting to make it.
