I an a white American who fell in love with S. Africa. I go every February & March and stay mostly in the Eastern Cape/The Transkei. It is not just the weather and natural beauty that I love. It is the warm hearts and sincere smiles I feel when I am there. S. Africa has a ton of problems but their ability to laugh and smile through their hardships is something Americans could not possibly do.

I’m a South African in the US and I’m in full agreement that life in the USA can be demanding. I’ve come to appreciate several things In South Africa.

I had friend who couldn’t get pregnant for years and only lived in Kenya for 6 months and was able to do conceive…there’s seriously something wrong with American food and products in general.

I can't wait for the day you finally switch your pronouns for Africans/Africa to we,us and for the US to they, them. Because you are truly and fully African now, daughter of the soil. We love you❤

I am seeing so many African Americans coming to and exploring South Africa. South Africa has so much business growth potential and can be a great retirement or remote work location.

You made a wonderful submission “Africa is for the problem solver’s. Africa is for people that are entrepreneurs that are going to build & create the solutions of the next century”. To any African American senior citizen on social security your one MONTH S.S. check can cover ONE YEAR rent in most African countries outside of major cities. I know what I am talking about. Thank you

Ashley, you are so unique, and I love what you are doing. I hope you don't mind, I suggested you as a person to interview for a show hosted by Roshida On The Loose. She is an African American lady who has a TH-cam channel. She lives in Mexico.

My biggest worry for my country South Africa and the current influx of foreigners is the 'gentrification' (and glamourization) of various experiences/places for lower middle class locals. It seems that most people are here mostly for the affordability, which if you're coming from a 1st world country, is dirt cheap to be honest(power of the $). This actually intensifies the already wide wealth gaps. South Africa is upside down compared to most other countries in that us locals have had to assimilate to western norms rather than the opposite. This means that people can exist here in their own enclaves, completely isolated from the worst/poor parts of the country while being socially pandered

I wish most of you visited SA, probably 5 years back. Currently SA is doing okay, but it was a bit better before load shedding and covid 19.

I like how you differentiate a continent from a country, because most Americans think Africa is a country, of which it's not the case... it's so refreshing to listen to someone be aware of this😅
