I love ormsby and I love ola, this wholesome bromance was a good way to start the day. That new natural finish and the single cut with the flame top are just gorgeous guitars.

Honestly, Solar Guitars are some of the best playing guitars in the price range. I mean, Fender/Jackson Guitars is also making some very good guitars as well, but the humbucker and split coil tones that I get out of my Solar Explorers lend themselves to being extremely versatile giving you a pleasurable ear fuck. Very good work, Ola.

Those Ormsby guitars are nice but looks like a weak head stock, little bump on stage and it would snap! Biggest smile I have ever seen you have @ 6:22 =)
Good luck breaking the headstock halfway up it. Almost all breaks occur at the beginning of the headstock. The Ormsbys are maple, scarf-jointed and have volutes.
Vixen Vendetta thanks for your concern but I can assure your that the headstocks are stronger than most out there (perry’s explained the math online in the past) and of the thousands we’ve shipped worldwide, none of them have broken or received damage due to construction. ✌️hope you get to try ours out!

I was in the same mall with that karaoke booth. Shanghai is great, really love the cities. To bad with the censoring and google not being a thing, but beside that i loved it. The food, the candy, all stuff tea related and how clean it all is and open towards everyone. Even thought its funny they call us eastern people "long nose", lol.

Damnit, had I known Ola was there... Me and my buddy got there on the last 2 days and he made a bee line to the guitars and I made a bee line to the wind instruments. There were absolutely ZERO hot girls in the saxophone hall, in china jazz= zero hot girls. Playing for a Chinese audiences was like playing for trees, they are dead silent and just stare, take a million phone pics and then clap. Respectful, but so quiet. Those crabs are a huge thing in China, fall is their big small crab season. They really dig the orange crab eggs when you pop the shell off. A rare find, chinese person with a western sense of humor. The white "sperm" LOL, was actually crab blood. Chinese have the weirdest conceptualization of western names. I met 2 guys at the gym named Porsche and Mercedes, they chose those western hooker names because those are fast cars that attract women.

My next guitar I'm going to buy is 1 of your Solars love the look and sound! Not sure which model I want yet I have to decide but that's always hard! As of right now I play all Shecter and I'm in the middle of a custom build im doing myself. I'm going for a mix between the Hellraiser and Apocalypse! (My own design) Its turned out great so far I'm almost finished the shaping it. Oh and its a neck through monster made from cherry, pine and oak.
