- So after China I went to Japan and Roland Boss HQ together with the guys from That Pedal Show and Rabea Massaad. We had a great time trying new Boss products, doing a facility tour and to end it off with guitar store shopping in Tokyo.

Very nice. You're like the Poster Boy for Metal. Very Polite and humble in reality. The Japanese would appreciate that. and being approachable - it's great to watch how drawn to you people are. I got a Boss Katana MKII 50 16 days ago the tone studio makes that amp do what no other amp does I really recommend it the best amp I've ever had the MKII is awesome great sounds

Yes my friend, Japan IS guitar heaven....amazing trip.. you have a great life brotha...Good on you for the toys...my two younger sons are total Gundham fans, Akira, that and Bee Bob cowboy....and its sort of a Christmas tradition to buy them Gundhams, so I understand the infatuation with anime...That anechoic room must have been so damn cool....I've read so much about this....That pipe organ was amazing!!!! I own two strobe tuners, a Peterson, and a Conn, and recently had the Peterson checked and serviced. ( Yes, the company STILL services all their strobe tuners...) and got to talk with the very same lady thats been there for decades and told me how for things like pipe organs, the old strobe tuners are still very much in use....that organ sounded amazing...oh have to say it.. " When the Levee Breaks" on drums..not too freakin shabby...Your kids are precious...enjoy it now, its gone in a blink of an eye....great ending logo...congrats on it all brotha...
Tokyo is just so fascinating. I’d love to go there some day. And visit all the guitar store that you didn’t!! But I get you Ola. You’ve already tried all the equipment one could possibly want and then some.
I was there a few months ago. At 16:22 , it is Shibuya, I recognize the small shop in the basement, with a wall of pedals, that we don't see here. And then Ola is in Ochanomizu, in "Guitar Street" ... As he says, after the 4th store, you start to get fed up with all these guitars. Besides, these stores are on 4 or 5 floors, so a lot of stairs !
I worked in the Roland Hamamatsu R&D center for 9+ years. I used to give tours of the facilities there till 2001 sometime. Looks the same but the museum building next door was just being finished then. I never went to the BOSS Facility!

Btw, thanks for that great tour - you captured the feeling of Tokyo perfectly. Our Evanescence manager dragged me through that guitar shop street in Shibuya as well... Ishibashi was where I lost my nervs and felt my hair hurting of seeing guitars everywhere!!! Have you been to "Kiddyland"? I didn't know that store until Amy showed it to me - you would go NUTS in there lol Another recommendation would had been that shots bar upstairs with the bell in the corner, not sure if you went there - if you did, I hope you did not ring the bell.
Anyway, thanks for the tour. Brought back a lot of great memories.

Japan is awesome, one of the best places I have been, especially Tokyo. Never seen so many guitars....unfortunately most is Gibson...more than I have ever seen in the U.S.

Ok that esp work shop made me fall in love with an idea. Can it be done ? A man can dream. Just need to save up for the tools. Been watching lots of luthiers. Crimson guitars in particular for the outside the box thinking inspiration.

Hi Ola, love what you are doing! I’ve owned several high end guitars over the years and just recently was able to play a solar. It played every bit as good as any $3k + guitar that I’ve owned. Will be placing an order soon. \m/

As mentioned before the church organ is from Rodgers insturments in Hillsboro, Oregon. Made for Roland. Super expensive but god dam great quality. Would love to check out V Drum department there. Roland- Boss are kings!

I hope you had a good time in Japan. I lived in Japan for 2 years and loved it. The people and the culture are wonderful. Did you go to any Ramen restaurants while you were there? Tonkatsu Ramen is yummy and so is th nikuya. There's all kinds of great traditional food in Japan and it's not very expensive. Did you buy some tradional trinkets while you were there? Anyway, I hope the trip treated you kind. I'm a loyal fan and really like what you're doing. I've not had a chance to play a Solar guitar, but can't wait to play one, if I get a chance. It'll probably make me want one but that's the way it goes. Thank you for the great channel.
