- Why do I do this to myself? Because I crave chaos??? POSSIBLY.
aNYWHO, Rose from "Titanic" has been on my dream cosplay list for as long as I can remember, and I wanted to tackle my dream of finally making one of her dresses. And because I'm me, why not make it two?? nervous laughter
I had a week to finish these two dresses before I jet-set off to the titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN to film the reveal, and BOY-oh-boy it was a journey.
So please enjoy this adventure in replication, determination, and perspiration.
LOVE YOU

The reason the swim dress looks different in every picture is because it is! There were several made and no two are the same. Some are more purple, some have extra layers, some are longer/shorter, etc, etc
😮
Oop 😮
I always thought it was blue 😅
Anddd I thought the suit was black and not purple. Wth 😂
@@sofapop653 I always thought it was blue!
Not only did you make a mockup! You also pressed your seams??? You’re showing so much progress and I’m so incredibly proud of you!!
that's the character development she was talking about! lol
Yes! Stellar work!
I experience 50% pleasure, 50% anxiety watching Rachel's videos
The only way to truly live 😂
Fun fact: In my theater costuming class, they had a box akin to a science thingy, clear front, holes with gloves attached and a vent to the outside. That’s where we had to mix powered Rit dye. They said it’s because any dying professionals that had autopsies had dyed lungs from breathing in powdered Rit dye 😅
annnnnd now i am very glad that I had the good sense to buy the liquid dyes. Egad
O--Oh, good to know! I've never used the powdered Rit dye, but I was thinking about it lol.
They died from dyeing 😅😓
Good to know 🫡
Great to know. Thanks.
I thrifted my prom dress back in the day, right around when The titanic movie came out, and later realized it was a replica of Rose's red dress with the Empire waist and beaded cap sleeves! It was really cool and unique, I even had a beaded bags that belonged to my great grandmother to go with it. Suffice to say I was living my Rose moment!💜🎄🎁
My prom dress was also based off of Rose's dress. But I bought it from fashion bug for like $10 b/c it had a small rip in it under the arm and I fixed it good as new. I was class of 2000.
@@DrinkYourNailPolishGood old Fashion Bug! That brings back memories.😊
I was class of 2001!@@DrinkYourNailPolish
Shut up!!! That’s awesome!!!
The stripped dress is the ultimate level of being elegant and classy I'm so excited!!
That dress is so iconic with the huge purple hat oof. Love it
I was the crazy girl in high school (graduated in 1999) that carried around the script of this movie download on a 56k modem and printed out. And somehow - I did not realize her dress had purple on it. *The More You Know*
Stripped dresses are always popular.
I literally cried when you ran in this beautiful swim dress in the dark. The music? The vibe? Your flying hair? The dramatic layers? Just amazing what you did there!
I also had goosebumps for all of the reveal aaahhhggghh ❤
I got such a chill. It was so well done.
me too!!
@@azrani2023 same! Total goosebumps!
😊 considering the difficulty of that suit and you not "being a dressmaker" you did a FANTASTIC job.
Notes for Future Rachel:
Interfacing is your friend with suits. Anytime you need a thing, from a lapel to a shoulder to a pia curved front skirt panel, use at least one layer (more if needed) of interface to stiffen or stabilize the area. You can get fusible stuff that makes life easier (just dont iron the side with the fusing up).
Velvet is NEVER YOUR FRIEND. Velvet hates you. It exists simply to test your sanity. Having said that, stretch velvet can hide some pretty wonky patterning question marks, so... And if you're finding the stretch tricky for things like collars and belts (because you did yourself dirty by buying stretch for those,) you can always stabilize it with... interfacing! 😁
Super impressed with your dyeing abilities and your blush application. Well done. Glad you had a great time, hope you took many stills! What a stunning photo op! ❤
Hahahaha.. as someone that loves the look of velvet and sews quite a bit of costumes.. I absolutely HATE sewing with velvet. Just.. ugh. Fluff everywhere and hard to sew.
this is so useful thank you!!!
Sew in short, interfacing, interfacing, and more interfacing. When I first learned about inter facing my take away was...so you like this fabric but it is not heavy enough? Tranform it with interfacing!
My friend Wynne who used to deal in Antique fabrics taught me if you don't know what your intended fabric is made of burn a swatch. Natural fiber burns, Synthetic fabric melts. You did a beautiful job. So proud of your progress
I was coming to the comments to say this!! This is my favorite trick to use as a professional seamstress!
A very good tip…but do we trust Rachel with fire? 🤔😂
@@sewthernbelle good question. Also, can we trust fire with her? 😜
A tip by a fashion student: of the natural fibers, linen, cotton, hemp, and other plant-based fibers when burning will smell like a wood fire, while most wools will have a grilled chicken smell. Silk smells like a mixture of the two, with a hint of dirt/insect
Thankfully she was going for pastel colors so even if they are synthetic it should still be fine. I tried to get a dark green on some cotton/polyester coveralls once and ended up with more of an easter green type color.
I want to go on record that Rachel is the REASON I have tried sewing clothes for myself. I actually successfully managed make a halter skater dress after scouring TH-cam for tips and tricks on how someone else did it. BUT watching Rachel gave me the confidence to TRY it. Like wow she can do it and it looks so damn beautiful on her; so why can’t I? So thank you Rachel, for helping me realize I can see two pieces of blanket together into an outfit!
That is so cool!
I'm still too chicken to even try.
@@FlagCutieWhat is the scariest thing that could happen if it doesn't turn up the way you hope?:-) I think it could help if you took on a smaller project first and used the scraps you already have on hand/thrifted smth not too expensive. You can always reshape the outcome into a lovely pillowcase/over mitten/fabric container or something else, don't feel guilty about wasting fabric, it's ok. ❤
Good for you! 😊Welcome in the sewing sisterhood, dude... 🤗
@@FlagCutie I can imagine that starting such a new hobby is quite nerve-wrecking... I've been sewing for a while now and I still have difficulties to just cut a fresh, new, beautiful sheet of fabric. But - if you've cut something too large, you can always slim it around; if too little - you piece something together. Stitches can be torn and sown time and time again. Something turned up different than you've anticipated? You learn from it on the inside. On the outside - that was Your Way of Design Interpretation, Bob Ross Style. I wish you all of the happy accidents, dear FlagCutie! 🤗
❤ Same! Watching her curse and being frustrated actually gave me the courage to try sewing
I've heard that a very similar dress to Rose's boarding suit was actually in catalogs for sale in the first few months of 1912, so they were very spot on with creating this costume for the movie. Additionally that many of the Swim Dress were created with variations of where the pink/purple/white were located (what was in the bodice vs in the skirt)
Yep, I've seen the original fashion plate. They were scary accurate. It was I believe February or March 1912, mere weeks before the disaster. The impression I got of the backstory with her brand new wardrobe and all the recently purchased art was that it was an engagement present shopping spree (she may not have had a full grown woman's wardrobe yet, given her age was 16-17 when they met), capped off with the necklace to be presented later.
They probably took the pattern from an extant garment. So that makes sense
Pastels, a mockup and pressed seams…. WHAT CHANNEL IS THIS… oh wait, cat overalls, dog sitting, snot catchers… there’s Rachel!!! JK
You did a fabulous job on both dresses, the striped suit is chefs kiss elegant and swim dress is ethereal perfection!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Don't forget the floor troll and Golum pose!
As a huge Titanic nerd, I am genuinely so in awe of how much you nailed these two costumes in just a week! This was genuinely so freaking impressive.
Hear! Hear! VERY impressive.
I literally got goosebumps during the reveal. Rachel, you did an amazing job!!
Same!!! Insert here that B99 moment when the guy says "Chills! Literal chills!"
Yes, same!! The cinematography 😮
came to say the saaaaame, had so many chills, she did a spectacular job!!!
I came to the comments for this! 😍 I literally cried! I was hoping I wasn’t alone haha. 🫣😅
@@findingbeautyinthepain8965 OMG me too, I wasn't expecting it but it completely overwhelmed me how lovely they both turned out and the shots at the museum were so pretty. I'm with you :)
My goodness that photograph of you on board the titanic museum with the staff is so wholesome! You fit right in the atmosphere, and those clips of you gently looking around the ship are so amazing! Spectacular job honestly!
Ohhhh, Rachel! Why am I teary-eyed?? I mean, I'm fascinated by the Titanic as well... the movie always makes me cry because it just brings perspective to the tragedy, humanizes it beyond the articles and books. You did an INCREDIBLE job on both dresses, they are really well-done and the reveal shots are breathtaking!
If you are interested in the history of the Titanic and the human element, there are surviving diary entries & written testimony from people that were on the Titanic and survived. Their stories are amazing in so many ways. I can’t even begin to describe it.
omg, yes. the running down the halls in the swim dress.
Yes to alllll of this!! Could not agree more!
I have always wanted to make this dress to see someone fully make it it makes me so proud and a big movie fanatics/Titanic love to dress
i cried too! i feel so seen.
My grandmother got that simplicity pattern back in 1998 and made the beaded “you jump I jump (the first time)” dress. I then had a Titanic themed birthday where we recreated the last dinner served (though from the third class because $$). Best birthday ever.
That's so fun! ❤
Oh, wow, what a beautiful memory! 🥰Grandmas are the best, aren't they? 😇
@@Lulph they are! I miss her so much!
@@rebekah1111 Yeah, me too... We need to become YT grandmas ourselves, now!
When I tell you I clicked at lightning speed. Titanic is one of my comfort movies, I'm so excited to watch this!
It’s a comfort movie until I start screaming at the movie that he could fit on the door. Mythbusters told us so. 😂😂😂
@@erinrobertson-brower303it's the buoyancy not the space. He tried to get on, they showed it in the scene.
@erinrobertson-brower303 and Cameron himself had a team of specialists look at the scene too in the documentary special. Jack dying is symbolic of all those who lost their lives that aren't named or known. We know people like Thomas Andrews, Captain Smith, John Jacob Aster, John George Phillips. But there's hundreds we will never hear of. That's who Jack represents.
You're so amazing. my mom was a seamstress! Thank you.
1/2 the movie is the sinking, death by drowning for an hour and a half. 💟 to all those who lost their lives 🙏
Rachel, you have every right to be proud of yourself. You are not a professionally trained seamstress, you are self-taught. You are producing lovely pieces.
You're open to learning and you're retaining what you've learned whilst building on these skills.
Therefore, you should most definitely be proud of your work. Well Done, Rachel! 🙂👏🏼
You made two dresses in a week! You enjoyed the process! You love how they turned out! Way to go, Rachel!!!
Once again commenting on how amazing/inspiring/helpful it has been to watch someone's sewing journey and again trusting the process. Four year ago Rachel would be shooketh in the best way
"I threw fabric around and it worked" is the perfect way to describe how i feel for almost every project I do! Thank you for a new inspirational phrase to have in my sewing space :D
It's so nice to see, that the Titanic Museum employees participated with joy! 😍
We need this kind of support, us, sewing sisterhood of cosplayers... 😎
My best friend from high school worked on these dresses for the movie, fun fact there were ,I think ,7 of the “ swim “ dresses, so that they could dry her off and and put her in a dry one for the next take. My friend always jokes ,” I won part of a an Oscar” . I think you did great !
My jaw literally dropped at the reveal. Absolutely stunning!
That reveal was amazing. You really looked like you were aboard the Titanic, and the clothes were perfect! Well done 🎉✨️
Nothing makes your videos better than when it's clear you're enjoying yourself
I could not agree more. ❤
It might be a hair late in the season for this idea, but I would LOVE to see your rendition of the three spirits of Christmas past, present and future.
omg seconding this
The cat overalls are so awesome! I'm glad the museum staff had as much fun as you did.
Rachel, I've been here since the Pinup Companion days, and you have finally, finally inspired me to learn how to sew. Im gonna be making Lucy Gray's rainbow dress in the new year. You've taught me to just give it a go, to learn and make mistakes and troubleshoot. You are awesome!
Omg. That over corset is a project all on its own. Good luck to you on your sewing journey!
Yeah, go and sew that thing!!! Good luck!!! :D
My jaw dropped on seeing the finished dresses, they both turned out so beautiful and look absolutely stunning on you!!! and you should 100% be proud of the dye job on the bodice sashes because the gradient is *chef's kiss*
This was such a great video to watch because it was so lovely getting to see you make two passion projects at once, 11/10 work!
Ok but the "good enough" song has saved my sanity on every single sewing project I've done since starting to learn to sew
First you made the Ever After dress (all time fave) now you're making my second fave movie dress (flowy pastel) Shut the front door! OMG I could die. Love you!!!
I think my jaw actually dropped with this reveal, omg! Especially the swim dress. The setting, dresses, makeup and lighting were all so cinematic!! Amazing work, Rachel. :D
Getting the chills when she did the stairs scene in the striped dress. I also fixate on the titanic tragedy once every few years from morbid curiosity as well. Big fan and loved it!
This has got to be one of the most impressive cosplays I’ve seen! I’d say I can’t believe you did it in just a week but I’m quite familiar with the overcommit at the last minute vibes 😂
Thank you so much, again, for taking the time to meet us at the ship! We were all so incredibly excited to hear you were in the ship!!!
As someone who listened to the Titanic soundtrack for hours upon hours in my youth, those snippets of familiar melodies TOOK ME BACK! And so glad to see you and Savana doing more content together! You two draw all the giggly silliness out of each other to the max. Always delightful!
The Titanic (the actual one, not the movie lol) always makes me emotional to think about because of how terrified those people must have been. It's heartbreaking. The dresses look amazing though!
And it was all the poor people on the lower deck for a better life perished
@@ah5721 exactly. People who'd already suffered. It's really sad
We have a permanent Titanic exhibit in the Museum of the Atlantic, in Halifax, NS. They have a huge mural photograph of the staircase, and lots of neat stuff. The one you went to looks like pretty full on sets and re-creations! You did an awesome job, and could easily have filled in for Kate 😉
I was just coming on here to tell Rachel that many of the victims were buried at Farlawn Cemetary in Halifax, November Scotia !
"The Fairview Titanic graves also include the burial place and marker of William Denton Cox, a heroic steward who died while escorting third class passengers to the lifeboats. Six of the previously unknown Titanic victims were identified in 1991 with the help of the Titanic International Society. Newly-inscribed headstones bearing their names were unveiled on September 23, 1991, at ceremonies attended by then-Halifax Mayor Ronald Wallace, Titanic survivor Louise Pope, and more than 50 members of the Society.[6]
Twenty-nine other Titanic victims are buried elsewhere in Halifax; nineteen in the Roman Catholic Mount Olivet Cemetery and ten in the Jewish Baron de Hirsch Cemetery."
(I lived just out side of Halifax for a few years, LOVE IT ! ) Now, back in the USA, but miss N.S. !
Also in HRM here. Was bemused at the museum being in Tennessee but it's not like we have the resources here to do anything like that.
@@quinbee_createsone of the guys who went on an early Titanic diving expedition put together the museum in Tennessee. It was really cool!
@@KH-hr5xm I figured it that would be the connection although I didn't find anything on their website mentioning the history of the museum. Thanks for the info.
I was JUST watching Oceanliner Designs' most recent video on the _RMS Titanic._ Which was an incredibly detailed look at the breakup of the ship. Your timing is impeccable. I also have a huge fascination with the ship. Honestly, I find everything about it so intriguing and always felt so bad for her builder Thomas Andrews.
"She's made of iron sir, i assure you she can. And she will." Always hits hard. He must've had so much guilt for something that wasn't even his fault.
SAME. I SPENT ALL DAY TUESDAY WATCHING HIS VIDEOS AND NOW THIS 😂
He really is SO well spoken. And sharply dressed in his vest? Nice.
"Oceanliners Design" is that a TH-cam channel !? 😳
@m.maclellan7147 yes! If you have any sort of fascination with the RMS Titanic, or ships in general i highly recommend him.
Mike is a delight. So informative and passionate about oceanliners. I absolutely love his channel
i have never met anyone else with submechanophobia holy cow. especially not one who is morbidly obsessed with the titanic. god i love ya rach
Not my inner 15 year old sobbing at this transformation.
You DID THAT! 🫡
OMFG I KNEW IT!!! I squeed so loudly when I saw it was Titanic themed! I became obsessed with the Titanic after the movie came out. The history, the music, the everything! I am still in the middle of watching this, and I am so happy 😭💜.
*had to come back to say my weirdo- self legit teared up seeing you as Rose 💜
Your cosplay reseblence to Rose from the movie is amazing! Awesome cosplay! The finished dresses came out Beautiful as well! Nice work. 😃
These are absolutely stunning and your sewing projects in general are getting more and more refined
You know what that is? Growth
GREAT HEAVENS! SHES'S BREAKING ALL HER RULES! Pressing seams? Making mock-ups? PASTELS!? WHAT HAS BECOME OF HER
It’s nice to see the bodice from the video game dress episode. I’m glad she’s enjoying her hard work!
This reveal literally made me cry!! You are the very best at reveals. I love how you fully go for it and sincerely commit to the story of your characters. So so good Rachel!!
Ohhh, Rachel! That swim dress is an absolute Vision!! You looked so amazing in the reveal, I got a bit emotional. XD I also went through a grotesque fascination of the Titanic along with my friends in middle school, which was amazing timing, since that was around the 100 year anniversary of it sinking, lol.
Your slo-no scenes revealing your costumes are EVERYTHING! I was cheering you on with the suit. Slap it on and go for it. My favorite way to sew. Love your channel Rachel. ❤️
This was the best Christmas gift ever! I LOVE Titanic, and a birthday with the captain of the Titanic sooooooo
Okay.... that reveal.... I'm speechless. How absolutely incredible!! I'm so proud of you!
I got goosebumps from the reveal, you look so much like Kate! As always, super impressed with your skills Rachel 🥹💜
I had so much goosebumps at the reveal scenes of the swim dress. Its my absolute favorite of the movies costumes!
So amazing to see you in these dresses frolicking around the Titanic with icebergs in the background!
Lisa Eldridge has a video where Kate Winslet’s actual make up artist for “Titanic” showed how to do Rose’s make up! :)
I think this was the most beautiful reveals you have had so far. You keep creating so many favorites!!!☺️
The swim dress always reminds me of my great-grandmother. She was an amazingly talented seamstress, who made that dress for my older sister one year for Halloween. It looked exactly like the one from the movie, I swear. I think she might've had the pattern Rachel held up at 4:26, because that same year she made Rose's black and red dress for my cousin. I miss her every day.
Amazing job! I have been obsessed with Rose's swim dress since i first watched the movie (even though my wardrobe is 95% black lol) also! Lisa Eldridge has a video where she explains how she actually did Kate Winslet's makeup during the shooting!
Being THIS early to a Rachel Maksy video? _I’ll never let go_ of a chance like this to comment! TWO dresses? That’s a _titanic_ effort! I really admire such _unsinkable_ !Hope it didn’t _tip_ you over the edge!
I’m proud of you for pressing your seams, Rachel!! ⭐️
(And not getting blood on your white fabric when you pricked your hand)
As someone who watched the titanic movie everyday as a kid and is still incredibly fascinated by the boat and the film 20 years later, this video means so much to me. You did amazing Rachel, and I admire all of the hard work you put in to making costumes
I can't make a decision in a week, let alone: pattern, mock-up, sew, trim, add notions for two whole dresses! Plus make up transformation and filming! You are a machine!!! And they both looked fantastic! The boarding dress was so sophisticated, and the swim dress moved beautifully ✨
For another project like this you should get one of those foam knee boards, I know they’re heavily used in gardening and can find them at the home improvement stores! Anyways, loving this video, the vibes are immaculate and I love watching you sew garments! You were an inspiration to start my own sewing journey!
Or, you know, a cutting table - it's not like she hasn't got space. 😆
😊A suitably high cutting✂️ table certainly could be brilliant & body saving. She definitely has space for one in her 🏡 house & barn, but Rachel seems to like some flexibility in her projects. It's not like she could drag a table from room to room. She prefers to work where the spirit moves her.
😉One of those cushioned weeding pads🌿 would certainly be a saving grace for her knee-balls too👍. She's such a natural floor troll🤍. It's simply not something that suits everyone😔. My friends & I love to pile up pillows on the carpet to picnic🍽, play board games♟️, watch a movie🎞, & much more.
❤Love Rachel's fearless approach to sewing. She's a big inspo, but so far I've only tackled easy 🪡 hand-sewing upcycle ♻️ projects. 😬Slowly working up the nerve to use one of the sewing machines I inherited.
Appreciate the way she remains undaunted in her goals. She plunges ahead at roadblocks 🚧 & cleverly makes her own adjustments. She beautifully 🧟♀️franken-outfits 🧩 from various patterns she loves 〰️that she knows fit her body & style too.🧵Happy sewing!

Older Aged knees will thank you, let me tell you!
PLEASE get the garden pads. They are fairly cheap, but I can tell you that knee replacement surgery isn't. I've had two total knee replacements; the most recent one less than two years ago cost about $60K. not to mention pain, physical therapy, and recuperation time. Rachel, you might not think you need these pads now, but over time, the damage to your knees will sneak up on you.
I'm crying this is so beautiful! That reveal was *chef's kiss* just absolutely stunning. Titanic was one of my absolute favorite movies growing up and you did SUCH an incredible job. I seriously was getting emotional during the reveal.
Hope y’all enjoyed your stay in our kitschy but adorable little Smoky Mountain gem! Dolly Parton basically built Pigeon Forge and we love her!
I am sure that Morgan Donner made the boarding outfit, Rachel... Looks amazing, good job! XXX And the swim dress... divine! You are brilliant xxx
Lady Rebecca Fashions did za plus-size version of the swim dress a while back. Every one of these I've seen are always damn impressive. 😊
Yeah, I've never seen the movie, but I've watched everyone recreate their favorite outfits 😁
So many talented people out there
She did - but she drew the pin stripes.
she definitely did but with red stripes I am pretty sure!
Haven’t watch it yet, notification just popped up, but TWO DRESSES?!?! GO RACHEL!❤️❤️❤️
I wasn't surprised that I laughed throughout your video. What shocked me was when you were in the swim dress running on the ship I broke down crying. That movie hit me hard, broke my heart💔. You always knock my socks off but this one brought me down. BRAVO👏💐🏆
This is one of my favorite videos you've ever done, I love the videos where you get to make your dream dresses
I've also been obsessed with Titanic... since it was found in 1985. I saw it on the cover of National Geographic magazine and could never get it out of my head. I was only 9 years old then.
I absolutely LOVE your dresses! The dress suit is my favorite. The shot when you first see Rose in the movie always makes me cry... not sure why. Maybe because of how beautiful she looked. As always Rachel, you did an amazing job!
That reveal!!!!! The music choices and backdrop and and....don't become a pastel girl!
You are so brave Rachel !! I love the costumes in Titanic and they are also on my cosplay list, but I have never had the courage (so far) to actually start making any of the dresses. And not only did you dive into the project with a ton of courage, you also succeeded like a pro ! Well done !! 👍👌💖🚢
I cried in those shots of you running down the ship (or the museum). The movie, and the Titanic in general, have been a huge part of my life, and you brought to life all the feels. I am so impressed by what you did. Stunning!!
This has got to be one of my favorite videos. You KILLED IT on that striped dress! Been obsessed with it since the first time I saw it! So proud of you for taking on the task!
Wow! All your projects are incredible, but your reveal here is just breathtakingly beautiful!🤌❤
Spit out my coffee when I saw the blue pajama pants under the brown skirt. Currently also rocking a long skirt with pajama pants underneath because it's cold in my house and I wanted to wear a skirt today for some reason even though I'm not planning on going anywhere.
Wow, & I mean wow. You are a talented whirlwind. I've always loved the Edwardian era b/c of the high waistline (which is where mine is by nature), & the pencil silhouette. Take a look at Audrey Hepburn inthe Ascot dress in My Fair Lady---it's a 1960's interpretation of a fancy day-dress similar to the Titanic suit. You did a most amazing job!
It's both amazing and insane that you made two dresses in one week! The stripped one is my favorite, but also the most complex. I'm so impressed with your projects and all the creativity you put into them. I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful Christmas. Also, for anybody who is reading my comment, much love to you and if you are going through a hard time, know that you are amazing and the world is better with you around!
I was crying out 'Please Iron It' when you hung up the jacket for the night... SO PROUD OF YOU RACHEL, you go girl, you're really getting it!! ahahha luv u!! ❤
Love the suit. It is gorgeous. The “Swim” dress is beautiful. Wow. Such talent.
Love both dresses and love the Titanic museum too. My husband and I had fun seeing who could keep their hand in the cold water the longest. I had a lot to prove since my irl boarding pass person didn't survive the wreck.
You are so talented and inspiring 💜 I’ll never let go, Mak, I’ll never let go.
Wow! You look incredible!! The dresses turned out so good and the reveal montage is an absolute masterpiece!
Omg I just dreamed of Titanic
The best reveal of all time! Both dresses are jaw dropping stunning.
I've literally never heard anyone else mention that they have submechanophobia too, and I've had it all my life! I remember being little and watching the shark scene in Finding Nemo, with the sunken submarine, and it terrified me. It's great to find out I'm not alone!
I have that too. Things underwater just…no no. No thank you.
I actually teared up at the reveal! You did a great job Rachel!
I, too, have been into the titanic story since i was a kid. the swim dress reveal literally brought me to tears. EXCELLENT job!
I am 100% with you about anything underwater and also close my eyes and turn away from anything to do with dark deep waters.
That museum is amazing. Though I still remember grasping the horror of what those people went through, only to pop out at the gift shop at the end of the tour. It seemed in such bad taste to sell cheap snow globes and Christmas ornaments of that tragedy.
Also, thank you for finally putting a name to my near-crippling fear of drowning in a car! I learned something today.
Beautiful, incredible work, as always.
Offically on Christmas break and now Rachel has uploaded! The perfect start to the holidays ❤
That overall with the cat
You really do baffle me, Rachel! You have this wonderful studio in your barn, fit our for all your crafting needs, but you still work in the house, sitting at a coffee table with your machine rather than at a table where you don't need to hunch over.
I'm also a little obsessed with the Titanic (history, movie, museum) and you did an INCREDIBLE job especially in a week's time! Tell me why I teared up a little during the transition between costume reveals 😅I kind of wanted to see you perform some of her lines but I'll settle for the awesome footage your sister shot! My favorite Rose costume is the red/black beaded dress from the dinner scene with Jack. That one might have made you insane 😂
I would love to go to Dollywood! Hope you have the best time! And the Titanic museum, girl you're living the best life right now. Please enjoy! EDIT: OMG why do I comment as if you filmed this yesterday! lol you already went there. lol
GIRL!! You absolutely NAILED these gowns.
I have to agree that the Titanic museum is amazing experience. We went last year and it was fun for all the age groups we had. Your cosplays came out amazing. The people there was have loved seeing you film in them. I know we would have.
That shot of you running through the hall in slow motion was incredible. You truly looked like Rose in the movie. You did such an amazing job with both of those dresses ♥️
