It's a real shame those dry spots were in the clear Pharraway as it made you a lot of work doing the flowcoat, I do like to see a nice flowcoat though as it seems to bring the base colour out a bit more and gives it that extra pop, great job brother it looks really flat with a great gloss👏🙏👍John UK

The dry spots should smooth out with 2000 and 2500 without too much risk of burning through the clear. Especially if you have 3 coats of clear on there. Why not try sanding first? If your plan is to re-clear anyway, then you have nothing to lose and it may turn out that you can just polish the shine back.

I believe 2 coat is average... Never had issue with wet sanding to remove thats needed. but fow coat is good more fun than buffing that's for sure

Great videos and good timing for me . I'm getting close to painting my 71 z in Lexus ultra white tri coat, couple buddies who paint have said it's tough but seeing your vids plus bunch of others I'm gunna go for it . I'll practice on a couple spare panels I've got but hey feel free to toss me any other ri color pearl pointers 😎. Biggest thing I'm getting so far is to jam it like you show to clear, assemble and paint the exterior as an assemble car . How do you blmask the door seams for over spray once assembled? I didnt see any folded tape backing etc. great vids man very helpful

1st thing, I really like your revised video opening, great work just like your paint jobs
Why separate the hood and truck and why not do them all together with the fenders and quarter panel?
I can imagine how frustrated to get these dry spots, and If only I live closer to you I would give you a bottle of Coquito to relax yourself🍶🥳

On the last video he said he was only going to use a 1.2 tip and “you’ll see it works flawlessly”. I don’t think it got enough material on the surface. Should’ve been 1.3 tip.
