I love Mario 1, 2 and 3, but Mario 2 is my favorite. I have beaten all of them, but there are so many tricks and shortcuts that I never learned. I guess people learned about them through magazines (in the past) or websites or friends that tell you the tricks. To be honest, it was actually fun trying to go through every level and overcome each obstacle, but also frustrating. I did learn how to warp, however, there were a lot of things that I had to go through that you completely bypassed, especially at the end. I had to go through so many places to reach the end.
I'm not the fastest player but i know a couple of tricks, There's a way to grab the spheres without killing the birdos by jumping on an angle to land just on the sphere. And there's a way to bypass most of the ladders in 7-2 by jumping into the bugs on the ladders to where you bounce off them and it sends you flying upwards

Im sure their is something somewhere that could be done to save time. Will anyone ever do it while playing as well as him? Now that's a good question. Who knows? He's really mastered that game and how to save all the time he can.
For a moment there Toad had two whites for life … I'm not real familiar with SMB2 glitches (aside from those Summoning Salt talked about), is that more recent or just something I didn't know about? Great run, looking forward to your 8:10. 😁
Wow! Just wow! I personally don't like the sand levels and was wondering if there's a speed run with the 5-3 to 7-1 warp ...oh wait, looks like you already did that in the Princess-only run :)
I never sped run this game but I was very good at it. I always used Luigi and could own through it without dying. Now. Years later playing it on the NES Classic, I lost my skill :(
I’ve been getting into speed running. I (to my knowledge because it has been a while since I’ve checked) have the time trial for mama wuhu on mario kart 7 (not that cool) and I learned donkey Kong for nes level 1.

He needs to refine the skips and zombie rockets perfectly to not "miss the bus". _Imagine a certain four-wheeled mode of transportation leaving a station..._
@@cucaspeedrunner451 The same framerule applies here, too. Every boss moves on a global timer, from every Birdo encounter to Wart himself. Case in point, COOLKID needs to prepare for every encounter, because for every millisecond he shaves could put each boss at a different point when he arrives.
I am interested in casually speed running this game and have been since I was 11 years old! I am 28 years old now :D Out of curiosity how do you input double jump in some of those incidents? If you the speed runner or anyone else can answer this question I'd appreciate it. Also the item and pausing manipulation you did is really awesome and I had no idea exited :)

Same but this one took me waaaay longer to finally beat than 1 or 3. Crazy watching this. I definitely wasn't taking all these shortcuts tho.

I love Mario 1, 2 and 3, but Mario 2 is my favorite. I have beaten all of them, but there are so many tricks and shortcuts that I never learned.
