@@Nekmoz I was just amused since he used it in his last non-member peglin video, and that video revolved around that orb. I was glad he chose the bomb strat, it's always fun throwing a million bombs.
He's shown up a couple times in the Members Cruciball runs to great delight, but here's to hoping the prodigal son shows up in the regular vids again soon as well!
20:32 The peglin sappers explode when they die, dealing 200 damage to adjacent enemies. The Refillibuster dealt 56 damage to everyone, killing one sapper which blew up and caused a chain reaction.
Tom skipping "bombs do +10 dmg" relic, then wants to skip an orb that gets buffed for every bomb exploded, because "I think we're just gonna do bombs" Never change Tom. Edit: Oh my god, he called me out right after, noooo
7:27 : I'll take the pendant, I'm not doing a big crit thing. Next thing Orb does 3 normal damage 2 crit damage, Tom fires it directly at the only crit peg on the board. Never change, Tom.
20:44 Yes, that is what happened, they deal dmg to each other when they explode. This can be used to your advantage by targeting foe #2 in line with more health than the one in front, thereby killing that one and the front guy.
I left a comment hinting about Orbosite Rearction on an earlier video! One of my best Spinventor runs had that and a Potion Ballt, which is a slime-applying multiball, along with some multiball relics and a Refillibuster. I could vomit out about fifteen Potion Ballts and then the level would mysteriously end with my health at full. Fancy that!
I got that damage reduction relic this morning, and it turned out great. Ended up with a red bomb build, plus the relic that reduces damage by 1. So every battle, I would take 1 round of bomb damage, then I just kept spewing red bombs with impunity.
@Xanthanarium The possible interaction that 384 Orbs could have with the Weighted Chip is just… staggering to even TRY to think about. Assuming that you had an optimal setup with the Dragon as the final boss with Durable Pegs and the Dragon's inhale attack pulling the majority of the orbs strongly towards the 2x slot… I'm curious just how high the damage would be able to get (assuming that it didn't just insta-crash the game).
@PierceArner I'd have to do a lot of experimentation to have a good idea of how many pegs would be hit, but taking a base damage of 4 per peg, which seems reasonable to me for the final boss with a matryorbshka, my ballpark guess for an upper limit would be ~5*10^119. I'm guessing that would cause an integer overflow, but maybe the game engine protects against that? Either way, that's making the assumptions that each orb hits an average of 8 pegs (thats just a guess based on nothing but instinct), and ALL of them get sucked into the x2 spot. It's also making the assumption that every orb splits the maximum number of times, which definitely wouldn't happen. The practical maximum would probably be more like 10^20 or something.
The game engine does not protect against integer overflows. If you do too much damage in a shot, the damage is negated. And sadly summoning circle doesn't proc well with orbosite reaction: the build interaction that should happen doesn't: when the summoning circle fires orbosite reaction, it's just a normal orb with no special effect.
It’s very very very rare that in the event you’ve blown up over 50% of pegs on the board by turning them into bombs, that you haven’t killed whatever you’re fighting. The only time it happens is when the enemy is off the board. Even big wall face and the dragon aren’t immune!
I know I shouldn't expect anything else but genuinely how on earth did Tom forget about Memorb being reusable when upgraded? I know why, because he only upgrades his orbs if he's a multimillionaire and even when he checks the further upgrades, his incapability to read hinders him. But still, I figured at least his own memory could have helped him.
That orb dump in the first area is going to haunt my dreams. Not because it was bad, but because it's... it was so good. Why is my RNG never that good?!
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1806 OOO that Orbosite Rearction is really cool, and we all knew for a fact Tom would love it when he found out it allows more than 1 ball spawn XD Would have been interesting to see it in action with Mulitball though, as the Summoning Circle worked with it very well Eyyyy, always love a good Bomb Tsunami he he he XD 20:31 God, they where infact not ready for Bomb Town XD
Love the games that let you do mad things and just roll with it, not getting too easy on you but not smashing you to pieces for being smart neither just denying the fun!
Regarding the starting relic, if you're a good shot and you never get hit, it's pretty worthless. But there are builds that combine with other 'when you take damage' effects that it would come in handy for.
14:30 I mean, they looked like they're stacking? The damage went up INSANELY fast after a few uses! A slime bomb build was very cool! But I do miss my boy Bouldorb!! 20:01 This is probably one of my fave bits in the entire series... You want to go one way but you get fire and the other direction. LOL!
i love Peglin with Tom. would love to see a pebball build (and ofcourse Bouldorb) or a run where If there is a ball to pick, he has to pick a new ball to add to his bag.
As much as I love a multiball build, they really need to nerf that into the ground. I think the multiball relic needs to reduce all balls to 0/0 base, so the player has to rely on effects and bonus stats.
Jesus Tom, how many hours do you have in this game to STILL not know how the orbs work? Hes funny, but not that bright. Level 3 memorb can be refired and is GREAT synergy there
The Memorb remembers, sadly Tom does not remember that Lvl. 3 Memorb is no longer "once per battle".
I hoped he would remember as he recently used it
@@Nekmoz I was just amused since he used it in his last non-member peglin video, and that video revolved around that orb.

I think Tom and I could both use a memorb in real life. Plz I need to remember how the things work.

i went down to the comments to find whoever jumped on that bob-orb a thumbs up IMMEDIATELY after the tom callout
There's very little in life that gives me the same degree of assured happiness as Tom going _"Whoooouup"_

Strangely enough it probably helped cause he tookless damage from the mirror
How many times is Tom gonna discover that sappers explode on death & be confused by it?
20:44 Yes, that is what happened, they deal dmg to each other when they explode.

Orbosite Reaction seems like it's got the potential to set up with Summoning Circle & Multiball for some particularly crazy cascades of damage.
I think the maximum number of orbs you could have on the board with that combo is 384, if I did everything right.

Takes relics that makes regular shots better than crits. Immediately aims for the only crit.

It kinda bothers me that he wasn’t upgrading the memorb
It feels like the Angry Tomahawk needs a rework to be buffed by how many other unupgraded orbs you have.
