I love how peglin doesnt just allow, but encourages op builds. I just wish there was an endless mode to see how far your op build could take you
Indeed, shame Diablo 4 doesn't take a page from Peglin's book.
A lot of builds just get you killed on the first map early as you go higher in cruciball or whatever the difficulty thing is. You might just got a bad refresh spot and auto lose along with the like 6 pebbles you start with.
to be fair once you've won a chess game with nine queens you just have to look elsewhere to exercise the build part of the brain.
Until you crash... squirrel and durable is a bad. some maps have them spawn too many for the game to handle. Add some meteorite or durable in the mix and you hit 1fps in 2 seconds.
Honestly it would be cool if the game had an endless mode unlocked after beating the base game that you build up in a regular game then start the endless quest with no upgrades just purely on what you built with increasingly powerful foes
Dragon: "Who dares enter my lair?"
Tomglin: "Death."
*near infinite amount of orbs start flying out*
Don’t forget the squirrels.
squirrels casually melting a durable peg dragon peg board
its Tom dragging big sack of balls!
@@joshuaduck4139 The dragon took half damage before he even fired a shot.
"It's me, with a billion squirrels."
Yep that's not leaving my mind now.
I kind of imagine Tom showing up at the top of the hill, like Gandalf the white at helms deep. Everyone looks, but instead of an epic speech, It's just Tom, and he delivers his line "It's me! ... With a billion squirrels." and the squirrels emerge from over the hill and charge down, covering everything in sight.
@@Pattoe *DO NOT TAKE ME FOR SOME CONJURER OF CHEAP SPELLS!*
*Throws exactly 7 billions squirels at the dragon.*
@@Pattoe Someone needs to mod total war: Warhammer 3 to put actual Tom (not just his alterego Toddy...or is Toddy the real Tom and the one we see merely an act all along) and the Squirrels in.
He is the lord of all squirrels, and has been my friend through many dangers.
Tom is secretly Squirrel Girl
I had just kinda assumed multiple Summoning Circles didn't work like that, because if it was allowed to... You would get this.
I love this.
the best part about pegging is never knowing whats to come
There's a natural counter to this build. You know the blind level? The one where even a normal amount of balls can bounce around for a long time? Well, with this build you will never reach the end of your turn.
@@Shyl1ght Except when he got the "Special Relic" and cloak relic that do damage per x pegs hit, never need to reach the end of a turn.
@@gummybread Uhm... I think you might want to correct your spelling there cause that word... mean something very different.
@@sebastian114 Pretty sure that was on purpose
I can just imagine an artwork of little peglin with his arms in the air with 4 *giant* summoning circles looming over him and millions of multi-balls and squirrels flying out from them haha.
i just know that someone will make this happen and when they do, please please please share a link with us
“Fly my pretties! Fly!”
It's like that Avengers Endgame shot with all the warriors coming through the portals.
Well each summoning multiplied how many circles there was so... he had 1 giant circle that made 3 smaller those smaller made 3 smaller per circle and those even smaller made 3 smaller per circle. So a better visual is peglin throwing the circle at the ceiling and the dragon and peglin watching for about 10 seconds as the portals open up. Then the dragons gets crushed alive under a tide of balls and squirrels.
edit: math is (not including the first portal) 3^3 portals so in total 27 portals all spewing out stuff
Something funky i didn't notice till recently, everytime the spider hit you on the web maps one of the pegs becomes another sticky peg.
This is my favorite build of all time.
More balls more good.
That’s what grandmama used to say
I should call her.....
Tom going into the last fight like "just one dragon? Not 20? Piece of cake."
Literally could have one-shot 13 dragons with that 130000 damage hit with an overwhammer. Bonkers build.
I feel like, with this build, 20 Dragons would be a piece of cake too
@@maddoxm6807 I like how he was impressed by the 130k against the dragon, but gave no reaction whatsoever to the 217k against the gem goblin *AFTER* killing every other enemy on that map before actually attacking.
@@EpyonRulesI think he was more worried about one shotting himself in that moment lol
I don’t know why but Tom throwing so many balls that the music on the game cuts out and then obliterates some of the biggest hp creatures in the game in one hit made me laugh so uncontrollably hard. Best build. He wasn’t wrong when he said “more balls, more good.”
The image of a mighty dragon being swarmed by squirrels like the scarabs in The Mummy entertains me greatly.
So that's how they beat Emrakul...
The episode in which Tom harnesses the power of Squirrel Girl.
There's a reason she killed Thanos lol
Who is Squirrel Girl?
@@maxbennett5412a very unknown superhero in the Spider-Man universe, don’t let her name fool you, she is crazy
There was 81 Matryorbshka balls summoned with the summoning circle and each split into 4 balls, totaling 324 balls minus the squirrels.
The squirrels feel almost impossible to calculate based on your 132k damage
It's even worse than that, a level 3 matryorbshka splits into 8 balls, 2^3, so 648 balls after all the summoning
the battle right before he hit over 200k damage
A summoning circle can only summon up to 16 orbs. The devs set a hard limit on it probably to prevent lag.
@@kuru5964and yet lag it did
@@kuru5964 So if each level 3 matryorbshka splits into 8 balls, he still summoned 128 balls, plus squirrels
Yay more Peglin
Peglin? More like I'm in!
Well said
in this episode - can tom have more orbs than pegs on the map?
Yes.
Imagine getting the "duplicate whole sack of balls" random event with that build
you will win, but at what cost?
Keep the multi-ball! It splits into 8 balls at level 3
Keeping the multi-ball is great for the 8 balls.... but it also breaks the 'chain' of summoning circles, if multi-ball isn't the last ball in his "magazine". Having all those summoning circles first, and a multi-ball at the very end, is perfect, but if he ends up with, say, summoning circle first, and multi-ball 2nd, it's significantly less OP. (By my interpretation of how the summoning circle works, at least)
Its really fun but if you want to consistently get a ton of balls the ideal build is as many summoning circles as you can, the more circles the worse it is to have the multiball
Wow, the way that started out as a really cagey opening of near-death, but then suddenly swung into being COLOSSALLY OP was such a rollercoaster of a time!
"Don't mind me, I'll just be over here til you calm down." -the audio
The adventurine was the best possible relic for that build I think
It's honestly a super powerful relic for almost any build.
Could you imagine if he had the morbid relic as well.
the editing in this video was on point, cracking up over here
One shotting the wall boss is crazy! Wow!
I'm a simple man, I see Peglin, I click Peglin. I love that Tom has discovered what is probably the most absurdly overpowered build in the game! Experiment with this with different orbs-lightning is a good choice too!
After Tom's last comment about the dragon, I now want a painting of Tom dressed up as Gandalf assaulting a dragon on its pile of gold with a million squirrels.
Once it got rolling that was just supremely satisfying to watch *explode* in numbers both voluminous and ridiculous. Writing that one down for a rainy day 'Feck it, we multiball' cheering up plan. SO MANY BALLS.
When I saw the episode was only 20 minutes long I assumed Tom was gonna die halfway through the run, not that he was going to one shot half the game 😂😂
That scrooge McDuck through the gold was amazing
Ah my favorite ball build. Balls from balls from balls. And more balls added on
Another strong build is having enough Echorb to keep chaining them + Echo Chamber relic.
You basically do 110% of the previous balls damage + pegs hit to every enemy with every shot rapidly increasing in damage.
Dragon: "WHO ENTERS MY DOMAIN" Tom: "IT'S ME! God. *blamo*"
peglin: Hi! waves
peglin: bye! smirks
Gotta say, this is definitely my favourite build you've done so far too! MORE BALLS MORE GOOD!
Also, I think you really should keep the Matryorbshka. Without it, you get a very reliable 3^X balls, where X is the number of summoning circles you have. But the Matryorbshka puts its own BIG multiplier on how many balls you end up with, multiplying the number that come out of the summoning circles by **8** ! It's true that this might mean missing out on stacking up some of the summoning, but the gambling is part of the fun!!!!!
This was the funniest peglin run so far. Absolutly ridiculous.
i loved that build my jaw droped at end boss fight looking forword to next video
217,398 damage is absolute madness.
on just a redbomb goblin LOL the ultimate use of excessive force
Most I've seen was just shy of 900k damage, but that was long ago before they nerfed the magnet and multi-crit relics through the floor. Haven't seen anything 6 figures in a looooong time now
This was absolutely beautiful, it might be my new favorite build
It looked to me like there was a limit to the number of times summoning circle activated. With 3 circles I counted about 15 times when it should have been 27. With multiball thats still upwards of 120 balls provided they all spawned, though it seemed like less.
I wonder if there's a limit or if the game just couldn't actually keep up, it almost looked like it was stuttering there and might be skipping some balls. Definitely wasn't firing them all butit didn't matter lol
There is a limit of 16 balls that the circle can summon
I'm glad TH-cam put one of your Poglin videos in my recommended yesterday ... been binging them ever since.
13:13 Summoning Circle is the most broken orb in the game ... needs a nerf: take 1 damage whenever you summon an orb
Yes, I want relics such as Gardener's Gloves and Intentional Oboe to negate the nerf ... for balance.
13:50 Every other combat after the 3rd act started, I'm just here screaming ... IT'S OVER 9000!!
That poor poor Dragon... it just put its head down in pain until it was blown off the map like confetti.
I love how Tom finds these broken builds just by messing around! LMAO
The million balls coming out was hilarious!!
So calculating the number of balls at the end with the 4 summoning circles followed by the multiball
It's 3^4 = 81 multiballs summoned, and then it splits into 81 * 2^3 = 648 balls
And now squirrels!
The dragon was on 6338 hp before Tom fired, meaning it took a total of 3662 damage from Infernal Ingot and Mental Mantel before he fired. Ingot does 0.2 dmg per peg and mantel does 0.5 dmg per peg. So 3662 / 0.7 = 5,231 pegs hit
5,231 pegs / 40 pegs per squirrel summon = 130 squirrels. With a margin of error of maybe a squirrel depending on where the counters were on each of the relics at the start of the fight
The summoning circle can only summon 16 orbs before stopping. So the final number would be 2^7 balls, or 128 balls.
Every time tom picked up another summoning circle i was like :" do it " and at the end its in oppenheimer fashion:" i have become death, destroyed of worlds "
Dearest Tomothy.
No idea if this is common knowledge already or not; but I accidentally discovered that in the post-chest peg screen (like at 6:40) if you manage to detonate all the bomb pegs, you will earn another relic! I've only managed it a few times myself, but it's definitely worth trying if you have the "bombs activate nearby pegs" and "bombs detonate in one hit" relics. x
There are several layouts that have hidden treasures on them iirc
@@rapter229 very nice to hear. which others do you know?
ah man ive not laughed so hard at Peglin, that was brilliant Tom. keep up the good work!
This really was such a wacky build. xD Those red bombs at the end made it dangerous but it was still hilarious. Well played.
YESSSS more peglin omg I can't get enough of these 😊
oh man I have been binging your peglin content recently so I'm really glad you're making more videos on it
The music interlude was perfect! :D
YES!!! This is exactly what I wanted! The multi ball build XD
I was looking forward to Tom discovering this build.
Tom with the Oppenheimer tie in episode "I am become death, destroyer of worlds"
The fact that the summoning orbs multiply... 1x3x9x27 balls with durable pegs and the first peg hits gets +10 - I'm only at 14:58 but this feels like the strongest build Tom's made yet
19:20 200k damage okay yeah this is insane
HELL YEAH I LOVE PEGGING
With some quick math, dragon took 3662 damage from refreshes, which is 7324 pegs hit, squirrels are summoned every 40, so 183 squirrels.
So....around 830ish orbs? From 3*3*3*8+(3662*2)/40
Edit : Obv not including the 3 teleports to top, tho. Those dont count as new orbs.
Summoning circle can only summon 16 orbs before stopping, so it would be about 311 orbs
That was just amazing! Love how silly it got near the end
That was amazing! You started my day with a good laugh; Thank you Tom.
Man this was a perfect multiball run. Even got the multiball at the bottom for the boss. Perfect run
Another good addition to this build is the relic that gives all your balls Morbid
Because at first they follow the same trajectory, you effectively machinegun a whole pile of balls through a single peg, triggering it each time. Its a blast.
Add the "first peg hit gets +10" relic to that, and uh ... "that's a lotta damage!"
Absolutely fantastic.
Crazy that you've been able to find a _new_ favorite build in this game after so many cool ones already! :D
Good lord, this was... GLORIOUS!
One shot the final boss? You're a mad man Tom. Lol
Multi ball is always a fun build, thanks for the amazing video Tom!
Getting rid of the multiball ensures that you always have the complete chain of Summoning Circle, but the perfect sequence (all of the summoning circles first and then the multiball) is so much better than getting rid of the multiball, because now every ball you summon also makes duplicates
Oh my god that was SO GOOD. I just... I could not stop laughing by the end.
Mandatory Algorithmic Comment Because We Love Tom and the Editing xx omfg when that music started 😍
Tom Of A Billion Squirrels - my favorite hobo fighter
Oh my land I'm crying with laughter and I have a stitch in my side!
That moment at 10:10 was amazing lol
Tom over here proving once again that more balls is more good
Tom and his squirrel army!!! Onwards my beauties!!!
Every single time I think a build cannot get more broken, here we are. I love it.
Regarding the final number of balls: each Summoning Circle multiplies the previous number of balls by 3, while Matryorbshka multiplies that number by 8 (Multiball 1 by 2, then those two by 2, and then those four by 2).
Therefore that one volley contained 81 Level 3 Matryorbshkas, which could potentially, if all balls hit pegs, reach 648 balls. And that doesn't even include squirrels!
Summoning circles can only summon a maximum of 16 orbs before stopping, leading to a total of 128 orbs after splitting and not counting squirrels
@@kuru5964 I see. That explains why my calculation sounded more insane than what actually happened. Still, an incredible amount of balls!
That was amazing. So mesmerizing.
Bonk. Tonk! Is my favorite of tom catch phrase
Toms voice on *overflow* lol
Amazing how this build came together! I think the adventurine is what really broke it.
This is so satisfying to watch!
There are some synergies that are just incredible! This game and Binding of Isaac really get the endorphins flowing when you get something like this. Just total destruction!
The legendary Tom the Squirrel Summoner prevailed over the dragon. Unfortunately his squirrels ate mos o the hoard so he goes home only slightly richer.
That was quite amusing to watch.
This build was amazing to see.
I've always skipped the summoning ball. Now I shall not.
What’s crazy is that with the duplication machine, Tom hypothetically could have had twice as many balls- and if he had the multi ball relic it could have been even more!
This genuinely made me happy
"Who enters my domain?!" "me with like a billion squirrels" congrats on getting to reenact squirrel girl beating thanos in peglin tom
I love your laugh when you discover something awesome!
Thank you for this my friend!
I love wacky builds like this!
Favorite build I’ve seen so far
Best build, best Peglin vid, squirrel best boi
That was fantastic to watch
14:10 SQUIRRELS!
great music when the Overwhammer appears
Very satisfying build.
Imaginary technique de-finite ball
that escalated quickly.
this was an absolute treat.
Tom, i dont know if you realise how good the multiball is.
Summoning Circle summons 3 Sumoning Circles, They each spawn 3 summoning circles (9), they each spawn 3 summoning circles (27), they each spawn a multiball (81) which then doubles (162) which then doubles again (324) which then doubles again for a total of 648 balls
There is some consideration to it though, because if the multiball were like, second in the deck. You'd break the chain of summoning circles and end up with a lot less. There's about a 20% chance of it ordering in this ideal way
The summoning circle can only summon 16 balls before stopping, so with multi-ball 3, it would be 128 orbs
I got this game because of tom yesterday and got near this exact build on my second run. So damn satisfying, im addicted to this game
In case anyone ever questioned how Squirrel Girl handily defeats so many Marvel heavy hitters... This is how.
Man cool build, It would be crazy to see what a bufforb would do, with thousands of peg upgrades per shot
