Thanks for sharing. I'm working towards van living myself & could definitely learn some things from your videos. One of my biggest concerns is being able to continue a healthy life style & getting proper nutrition. (I'm also into being a goofball, making fun of myself, getting out for exploring nature, working out, dressing up fancy sometimes, e-bikes, I have rock climbing friends, I'm a former band nerd... we have a lot in common 😉)
Nice that you're open about the downsides. As this is a year old, maybe you've found more peace doing something else, or just not having to stress about the uploading. So cheers to that.
Man I was so skinny when I was living in vans. No matter how much i ate, the stress and chores of living outside messed with my ability to train and gain strength big time. Once I moved into a house I started gaining muscle again instantly. I think it has to do with sleep. When your brain sees the environment as a possible risk, it doesn't hit deep sleep. Which reduces testosterone secretion
Sleep is my number one thing I struggle with and always have. Sleeping from 2am-7am is not enough. The fear of getting the knock also keeps me at a since of high alert.
Hi Kyles, thanks for sharing your experience. I feel healthier than ever. It's frustrating not being able to do the same exercises as in the gym, but having a good setup in your van for working out is essential so you don't feel unhealthy. We managed to get really good dumbbells of 72kg and a foldable bench, and honestly, it has been so useful. We also tend to go to the gym once a week (random gyms we find along the way) to do things we cannot do with our setup! Try stepping up your gym equipment and don't give up!
I can relate so much. I went from calisthenics to weightlifting to Vanlife to wtf happened to my fitness. I bought some kettlebells, gorilla bow, yoga mat, to bring with me on the road but I’m not always going to places to where I can do workouts. It’s a problem. My diet has also gone to shit.
One month ago: is vanlife death? Now: vanlife is unhealthy. Maybe vanlife is just a way of living life, so not so much to vlog about IF you need to stand out…?
Thank you! I feel great but also mentally struggling with knowing I’m not physically what I used to be and wanting to get back there. Which I’m in a path to get back. So that helps

It’s great that you continue to take care of yourself. You’ll get back to your goal body type, just give it some time.

Here’s to positive change!
I can relate 100%

Just getting water, food, avoiding parking tickets, not getting police knocks at night etc, very hard to build a business dealing with that
Sleep is my number one thing I struggle with and always have. Sleeping from 2am-7am is not enough. The fear of getting the knock also keeps me at a since of high alert.

First and foremost you need to take care of yourself ❤

I relate to that! I find it awkward being in a city and working out next to the van. And planet fitness doesn’t do it for me

I have no idea what you’re saying
