Hey, I'm renting a Nikon D750 for a week to test out whether i want to switch back to Nikon FF (have been a Canon shooter for a decade). The D750 was waaay cheaper to rent, and will give me a sense for their raw file performance. You've made a great guide for getting started with my rental. Especially like your recommendations for how to program the focus (and record) buttons. Thanks, Craig
Thank you for the video. I have a "beginners" question: 1. Will any nikon lens fit any nikon body or does the lens mount and camera mount have to match..?
Great video, some good information for D750 users. My only disappointment is the Sigma sales pitch, the Nikon 24-120 is a cracking lens and when bought with the D750 as a kit is extremely good value for money, buy the D750 body only and the Sigma 24-105 and your wallet will be considerably lighter than when buying the D750 + Nikkor 24-120 as a kit. I would point out that there is nothing wrong with Sigma, they make great lenses (their 105 macro is razor sharp), but so do Nikon and in this case the better deal is to go with the Nikon combo and buy as a kit. Good stuff and thanks for sharing.
I agree! Love my Nikon D750 kit with the 24-120. I shoot a lot of aerial photos from helicopters and this lens is extremely versatile for most situations. I just added a Nikon 17-35 for architectural interiors, it was half price at B&H, gently used but perfectly clean.
Thank for suggestion for setting Movie button for ISO and FN for highlight metering (oh to keep button down!). New to Nikon Nov 2017. D750 and D7500. Traded in all Pentax gear .
Great review on the Nikon D750, I review this video just before I go on vacation or doing a shooting event...I don’t shoot as often as I like, so I may forget the control and functionality of the camera, this review is one of the best basic and down to earth explanation of the Nikon D750, thanks...
I reviewed a lot of you tube camera pros opinion on which lens to compliment my Nikon D750, so as a Nikon travel photography shooter for decades, I picked up the Nikon 28-300 and really enjoy the combination. After I purchased my Nikon D850, I did my homework and liked Phillip Abbott and F stoppers review on the Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 lens and purchased it for my Nikon D850, it’s cheaper than the Nikon lens ( I’m not a pro , where I can use my equipment as a tax write off) and didn’t want to spend more than I have to, I am extremely happy with the Tamron 24-70 as my priority is in focusing, the Tamron is an extremely sharp and fast lens...
Loved the record button tip. I inadvertently changed my photo quality and shot 700 jpegs vs raw one day because I was fiddling with the iso button on the left side of the screen. This moots that ever happening again. the 700 jpegs were of track athletes. They looked great because I was so close to them. Still love the one handed aspect of adjusting iso.
Hmmm, nothing comes to mind right away here. We have a handful of D750 shooters in our members program at Shultz Photo School though. Maybe ask them? members.shultzphotoschool.com/join/
Why are you not showing AF-C, 3D modes on screen? Those can be changed from screen...press info button and press and hold the middle button of focuses it will show on screen...
I'd NEVER change the Pv button because I can preview the depth of field and control the aimed Bokeh ! That's absolutely necessary with portrait and macro photography
Hans Wi Pv can be helpful for macro...esp of a living thing that might jump/fly away at shutter sounds. But for portraits you’ll quickly learn dof intuitively by distance and fstop. Ask any working (full time) portrait photog if they use Pv...and they’ll say no. Also, are you aware that you can “preview” DOF by taking a test shot and reviewing the actual pic on screen...and that this is actually more accurate? Yeah man, you can do that. 😂😂😂
been shooting for years now, just got the 750 and this video helped so much! thank you for offering this for free and even a class for beginners!
Thanks for this, I never stop learning about my beloved Nikon D750!
That big screen on the wall is an awesome idea for tutorials.

@@500patti.. Exactly, the Nikkor F4 24-120mm VR is a great lens and very sharp, also a heck of a deal if bought in the kit with the D750.

Awesome video, thanks for sharing👍😊
Thank you for pronouncing ISO and bokeh correctly.

this is amazing, thank you SO MUCH! Subbed. looking into your classes now.
Nice tutorial. How about Tamron 24-70 G2 lens in the place of NIkon 24-70 ? Tamron is great value with awesome quality and VR.
