F stops are actually "f" divided by the aperture number (i.e. f/8 or f/3.5, not f=8). That's why the "smaller" the number (which is really the denominator), the bigger the opening is and the more light is let in. If we say "f" equals 1, then 1/8 equals a smaller number (and therefore a smaller opening in the lens's iris) than 1/3.5. That's why f/8 lets in more light than f/16, and f/3.5 lets in more light than f/8. F stops are fractions.
My brother died in a car crash few years back and two of his cameras got destroyed in the car. Nikon d750 was the only one that survived and I got it as a memory, thinking I can photograph my kids with it. I wasn’t able to even look at it for the past two years, leave alone touching it, considering it was in the car with him. Today I got it out of the closet and decided I’ll try to learn to use it. Hopefully this video will help.
Good Afternoon River: Thank you for the video. I have a question: Q1: Regarding the magnifying feature in the viewfinder, I am able to zoom in but how do I zoom out or back to a normal image through the viewfinder..? Thank you...
Hi great video 😊 thank you. I have a few questions. I have just bought this camera and will be using it for posting to instagram. Do I need to shoot in raw for that. And at what size do I shoot in for photos to fit instagram and what size do I film in for instagram. Your feedback will really help a lot. Thank you 😊
howdy. so raw is the best format for editing. if you plan to editing but if you dont need to edit then jpg is fine. I dont know the instagram ratios but meta/instagram should have it on their website. google will give you the answer
Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. My cousin just sent me his Nikon D750 (from Seattle to London) and this is perfect for me. Uncannily, pretty much all his settings are like yours. Great minds.
Awesome video! Somehow I think I've changed my settings so that my D750 only goes down to f2.8. Would you know how to get it down to f1.8? I use a 70-200 Nikkor lens.
Awesome tutorial man! I actually just bought this camera for astrophotography lol. Thanks for that tip on mUp setting! Any other astro tips??? Clear Skies!
My pleasure. The astro photography I give everyone and it has severed me well is...if you see aliens or flying spaceships, dont tell anyone! They will not believe you. Just kidding!
Why shoot everything on 800 iso ? Or is this for videography. Wouldn’t less iso be better if you have good light available. Or are the slight pixel fuzz just edited out ?
We have quiet shutter in Q mode. Omg caught something . Thanks for your info I’m watching this over n over. I keep getting in most my photos. I get a good shot then a next shot completely over exsposed image. Every other photo. Why?
Hi ...i bought d750 after your review and i am very happy for photography with 50mm1.8g lens.....your reviews are to the point and was helpful...i needed a zoom lens shall i buy 28-300 nikkor lens will image quality and sharpness will be nice or should need to go to tamron 24-70 f2.8g u2 lens...considering these two which is in my budget and also i need one lens for travel.thanks....as always your reviews are crisp and to the point....
Ty for the Awesome content is this still a good camera in 2021 comparing it to new mirrorless cameras like the canon rp or r /fujifilm xt3/sony a7iii or the older dslrs like 6d mark ii i actually found a used one with a sigma 24-70mm f2.8 lens for about a 1300$ Im more into photography should i buy the d750 with the lens or should i go with the others ill be glad if you help me ❤️
Hey! Love your content, keep up the good work! Do you mind sharing an opinion on eos R vs nikon z6? I cannot decide which one to buy. I'll be using it for photography only.
Hi! I watched your video last year and I'm here watching it all over again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I am sort of like new to photography and I'm able to shoot In manual mode. My next step is to get into light room. Do you have any recommendations. I would totally appreciate it
Hi, Thanks for this really good informative video, question Is there a specific reason why you shoot with a Nikon 50 1.8d as opposed to a 50 1.8g. Thanks
I am trying to buy a new camera I always struggle Canon or Nikon... I have a Nikon that is 10yrs old and still love it to shoot food shots but now I have kids so I need a better camera I like this one and Canon T7 which one would you suggest
Just started using a D750 (upgraded from D3200). I only shot RAW with the 3200 but all RAW images on the 750 are really hazy. I switched to jpg and the haze isn’t there. I’d prefer to shoot RAW but can’t stand this haze. I can get rid of it post but the images don’t turn out great in my opinion. Any thoughts on why RAW images are hazy but jpgs are not? Thanks so much!
I had to give you kudos a second Time Watched your Video 2 to 3 times,,, Very well done.! Keep me in the Loop, Yes I have a knewer model.! But luv ❤️ luv this D750 Please don't give up this Camera 🙏 Boston Massachusetts

G'day Brother! I hope this text finds you well. I request yot to do a guide video for sony a7iii. I just bought it and I am new in the photography world. I really like your content and work and actually, I bought sony a7iii because of your recommendations but I don't just know what to do and where to start. Please make a video telling that which lens do you recommend and what would be the best settings for photos and videos, what picture profile to use and vice versa. I know you look up into the comments and accept the proposals of your viewers. I tried to find any kinda email address of yours but I didn't so I am commenting here. I hope you make a video for us and guide us thoroughly. Thank you and stay blessed.
Thank you so much for the video. I’m planning to purchase my very first DSLR which is Nikon D750 along with 85mm 1.8 + 50mm 1.8 G lens. I’m wondering is it still worth to buy this camera considering 5 years old?. Purpose of buying a camera is for taking Portraits, Still, Landscape, Bird, Product photography (learning) and of course my kids. It would be really great if you throw some lights on my concern to make a wise decision.... other options I have considered is Nikon D780 with one of the lens and Z6ii with the kit lens... apart from D780 and Z6ii I have been suggesting to go with D850 with the kit lens. Thank you and looking forward to your recommendation.

You just solved this for me bro thank you

GREAT TUTORIAL! My Nikon D750 is my favorite all-around camera, used with a nifty 50mm 1.8 and a 24-70mm zoom lens, so I'm all good! :)

Q1: Regarding the magnifying feature in the viewfinder, I am able to zoom in but how do I zoom out or back to a normal image through the viewfinder..? Thank you...

Thanks so much! Just got a D750 and I am New to Nikon so this was helpful!

Awesome video! Somehow I think I've changed my settings so that my D750 only goes down to f2.8. Would you know how to get it down to f1.8? I use a 70-200 Nikkor lens.
Hi. The 70-200 is only f2.8 lens. So there are no settings to go down to f1.8.
D750 My shutter button is highly sensitive and does not auto focus when pressed high way down, is there a sensitivity setting i can change?
Awesome tutorial man! I actually just bought this camera for astrophotography lol. Thanks for that tip on mUp setting! Any other astro tips??? Clear Skies!
My pleasure. The astro photography I give everyone and it has severed me well is...if you see aliens or flying spaceships, dont tell anyone! They will not believe you. Just kidding!

Thanks for a great video. Would a second hand d750 connect to the snap bridge app. I'll be using it for landscapes, and self portraits 😊

I havent tried the z6 yet, but it will be on my list to try
Is it still relevant in 2020, especially after z5? Isn't Nikon is in the process of wrapping up DSLR segment?
This camera and user guide are definitely still relevant.

It could be the type of lens you are using, assuming you're using the right settings for the shots you're looking for.
