NOTE: This video was published before Nissan Australia changed its servicing intervals. In the Ownership section of the video, we state the service intervals are six months/10,000km. As of early 2022, these have been changed to 12 months/10,000km.
I have a defender 110 D300 HSE I get asked about it everywhere I go. I tow 3,500kg boat no sweat. It is a great car I have had 5 Land Rover products and never had major issues. The new defender is a cracking car and has so many useful features. It’s the Swiss Army knife of factory stock 4x4. Don’t knock it till you drive one. I did back to back with land cruiser and it was a massive difference.
Agree. I have done 10,000km in 6 months. 1000km or more of mixed hard and light off road, the rest about half highway and city driving, plus about 2500km of that was towing (not heavy though) and it’s been faultless. Amazingly capable car.
I have my D300 SE 110 for 5 months now, can 't be happier. I test drove Disco 5, LC200 and LD D250 back to back, then settled down with LD, picked the higher power vesion just to put icing on the cake. Never had issue so far. In terms of rebliabilty , hay , who cares about the reliability if you sit in a tractor and hate it every day?😂
Have a Defender D300 and tow 2900 kg caravan, it's absolutely awesome, we use it off road and it's a daily drive. Give it time before all you bag it. It might surprise.
@@danhiggins8733 Hi Dan. No we don't use a weight distribution hitch and it's no recommended with air suspension, you car maybe on coils? Hope that helps MARTY
The Patrol comes with a rear Diff Lock also, not mentioned. You can also speed up the closing speed of the Patrol rear door. I would have liked to see some overtaking with and without the caravan attached as you would see the Patrol beat the others easily. You can also turn on the 360 degree cameras on the Patrol when offroad. On road in the Patrol you can select sand mode for sharper and more aggressive gear changes.
Yep absolutely agree to all your points , I just purchased the TL-I Nissan over anything else due to V8 Power which the Nissan motor is far superior than other other Vehicles in its class ,also Isn't strange how a lot of this type of content they always quick to say its thirsty , They obviously don't own one , if you drive it sensibly its just as good as the other two
@granthenderson687 I have spoken to many owners and they do acknowledge it likes a drink around town and uses more than the LC towing but the gap varies with conditions. The Patrol has much better perforce though But the gap of about $40k to a similarly equipped LC buys a lot of fuel. Please note the towing fuel consumption here - the Patrol was noticeably thirstier than the other two. And I am a fan of the Patrol. But would probably buy the Defender, having had a Discovery some time ago and loved it. Great vehicle.
Precisely. The whole point of the modes is to set the car up in the optimal way for the conditions. So if you need to go super slow and controlled over rocks….. select rock crawl. The modes directly impact how your inputs translate into the way the car responds.
I have a y62 and despite the good reviews on the gearbox by other commentators, it's not that great, doesn't make the best decisions, but it's reliable from what I hear. The engine loves to rev out, it's not the right fit for the car, it should be more low end torquey and less peaky, but the engine is off the shelf not purposed designed like the others. When you put your foot down, the gearbox will slam down a few cogs and the engine will rev out hard. I'd prefer some middle ground where it'll hold the same gear and load up. I suppose the gearbox doesn't want to put all that power through a tall ratio. (Unlike my pervious car with a ZF gearbox that was awesome but would prefer to blow itself up then ruin your driving experience) I do enjoy the pure shock on other motorists faces when I smoke them easily. Priceless The y62 is massive. Plenty of space for your junk if that’s your thing. You need to airbag the rear springs for towing. Out of the showroom it dives just fine, don’t let the review put you off. It’s just big in the urban landscape. It doesn’t wallow around, corners with confidence. The cabin is quiet for touring, just don’t buy a rhino rack. No seriously don’t. The car is fantastic offroad. It’s no bull out of the showroom and easily handles bigger rubber if you want to make it better. You’re getting a bigger car, but it’s an older design. It’s never going to be as refined as a landrover, but it’ll be on road for longer. It will do what the LC will do, just not as modern. The interior is ugly af on the y62. You can get the woodgrain blacked out. The y62 engine, gearbox and car are all proven to be reliable with no gimmicks. The other two, well, the jury isn’t out yet. You’re buying into some unproven tech with the hot V etc. The Nissan’s price is way more competitive than the other two, if you weigh that into the story and you need the space than the y62 is probably a good idea.
Maybe you should change out the gearbox fluids. I've read from other y62 owners that despite Nissan saying it uses a fluid that never needs changing, doing so improved the performance drastically. I'd say it's worth a try, you have nothing to lose.
@@rkmckenna I'd absolutely do it if I were you. Again, you have nothing to lose. Plus, most wear and tear comes from the initial break-in period, just like an engine. So if there would ever be tiny metal shavings in the oil causing problems, it would be now. That's where I reckon most of the trouble comes. Then every 50k kilometers, and you'll be golden. Lifetime oils are a scam, it just doesn't make sense from a mechanical standpoint.
Having owned 3 Land Rovers previously with absolutely zero reliability issues, I had no hesitation in ordering the D300 SE in December. Hopefully she take delivery towards the end of July.
Nice! Deryck, can I please ask you where did you order it from (which dealer)? I approached two dealers in Brisbane and they both told me that not all the options that I want to have will be available and it will take 12 ti 14 months for the delivery!!!!!!
I've had a few Land Rovers over the years (and still have most of them!), and they have all been incredibly reliable and high performing. I can't see myself going with anything else. New Defender for me.
Being a Land Rover man myself. My last 3 cars were Discovery 2, Discovery 3 & Range Rover Sport. Never had a problem with Land Rover reliability. However, being nearly 60 now & thinking this may well be the last new expensive 4WD I can buy with retirement in mind I bought the Landcruiser 300 Sahara. I'm keeping the sport as well as what I was offered for trade I considered an insult. :)
Toyota all day long. If reliability wasn't an issue with the defender I would say that would be the dream car. But the Toyota land cruiser would my option for two simple reasons, reliability and accessibility for parts. Great job, great review video.
From past record, the Toyota Land Cruiser has the best reliability. The Toyota Land Cruiser is the first choice for farmers, government, mining companies, and gold prospectors in Australia.

Yeah it's annoying only LHD models on got the interior update. It's a major let down. With supply issues it's unlikely Nissan will ever update for our market now as they are now able to get an extra $15k-20k with people happy to wait even with the old dash...

It would be great if USA would do a pro4-x version in the USA which would be a patrol (crawl control, locking diff, etc) in Australia.
As someone with 4 kids. The Patrol has been top of my list for a long time. Simply because of the size. As a vehicle overall… the defender has my heart with the cruiser an expensive close 3rd that I wouldn’t consider anything less than the GXL as far as features on offer…
As an owner of 4 Discos from new, never has a major issue. I've ordered a D300 SE 110 Defender. Reliability not an issue. And if an issue, 5 year warranty and will be offered a super nice drive by dealer in the unfortunate event you're off the road.
I leased a Defender and had many issues in one year.. I have owned 2 Range Rover Autobiographies and neither were very reliable lol, however those being my first vehicles, I didn't know any better.. I leased a Disco 2 years ago and returned it because of a repeat issue.... I guess I just have bad luck lol

I'm with the other comments in that it's frustrating RHD models of the Patrol don't get the updated interior. Mechanically and performance wise it's such a solid option no turnos, no high pressure diesel, dpfs etc to worry about.
Patrol all the way. Why is it when 'safety' is so important no one is providing a breaking test at 100km per hour to show stopping distance comparisons. RACV used to do this at 80km per hour
I'd go for the patrol. More space, comfortabe on road, convenient for travel and of course for off road. Main issues are with fuel consuption while in city or sand and departure angles. I hope it will be solved with the next generation

Or partner up with Harrop and drop their super charger in.... patiently waiting for the warranty to run out, gives me time to save up for that supercharger. Plenty of interior upgrades available for the Patrol, just did mine with Android auto/Carplay. Next will be the digital cluster. Tossing between Lanmodo and Carobotor. Looks like land rover did some fine tuning with the new defender as to me it looks like it is better off road than earlier versions of this car which is nice to see.
Problem with this kind of vehicle, is you can only use them during that first 5 years. Then you start to worry about longevity of components. Repairs are complex and expensive, so for remote travel, I'd definitely stay clear. But for day trips, would be fun!

Based from your video, you said that patrol's interior is "dated" right? Well in the Middle East, it is not. The top specification of the Nissan Patrol here is called LE Platinum (if I'm not mistaken). Difference is, they changed the rims, and the interior is on the latest tech so buying one here in the Middle East is worth it than in other countries. There is Nissan Patrol SE, LE, and XE as well. Titanium and Platinum. They recently changed the styling of its grill, Nissan Patrol 2022. So honestly, Nissan Patrol wins based in interior, exterior, and as well as it's power. This is also for the Toyota Land Cruiser, that is not the top specification of the one in the video, there are different versions of the LC. Overall, nice video!
Is sad how we don't get the overseas spec in the Patrol, I've reached out to Nissan happy to pay the difference, why can't they give people a choice of ordering a new car. Not fair
Yeah but then they have the base spec LR there. So based on your illogical assumptions then the LR in top spec is still the winner. It has far better interior and tech spec than the Nissan and Toyota.
@@TheBremse Late reply but, I disagree on this. You do you, if you think the other one is better than the other then go ahead. I'll stick with what I said about the Patrol. Stay safe Robert.
@@aresu6976 Sure, you do you, but I will stick with an evidence based approach, even in the middle east it is still dated compared to everything else on the market.
Patrol for sure. Better economy than most want to admit, especially during towing compared to others. Plus sooo much cheaper to purchase and service. You'd have to keep your diesel for a long time to recover those costs.
Got the LC300 fully loaded and i can say the differences between the one i got and the one in this video are days and nights, wish you put the full optioned LC300 instead. It will blow the other two out of the water.
I can’t see how having more luxury options will improve on/off road handling or towing. If anything more weight will hinder performance. Generally toyota are not as refined. That being said they’re suppose to be reliable. Big dealer network. Strong drivetrains. I owned a 2010 200 series for 3 years.. very strong underpinnings. Super heavy duty. Great on corrugated roads. You’d barely feel a thing. Hopefully the 300 is just as tough.
The worst reliability will be the Land Rover and no doubt there air suspension will have issues. That leaves two Japanese vehicles and one is ridiculously over priced. Yep the y62 Nissan it is hands down!!
The service intervals on the Patrol and Cruiser are ridiculous. 15,000k 12 months with today's oils is well and truly adequate. If you have "severe use" on any of the three the interval rightly should reduce to suit. Unfortunately with the Defender you will need the dealer more often than the service interval will tell you, because so many things will go wrong. Plenty of worldwide experience on this already.
Hilarious that so many people are claiming that Land Rover air suspension is unreliable and so you should go for the ancient cart springs on the Land Cruiser, when the LR air suspension compressors are made in Japan….. So basically, the most unreliable part of the British car is Japanese, but you should buy Japanese cars to ensure reliability? Nope, maybe to buy old tech and 1990s driving feel…
I’ve no doubt the LR is good in all facets, let’s see how it performs in the reliability stakes over the next five years, including all its electronics and maintenance. I suspect both the LC and Y62 will do very well.
@@TheBremse Honestly I don't think it'll do worse. The 4.5 td was a bad design overall. This new 3.3 was at least fully engineered from 0, and not the result of 2 D4Ds glued together.
@@jean-louishamid5285 possible, but it’s also a lot more highly strung. Which Toyota don’t have a good history of building high performance AND high reliability at the same time. But my point was that people carry on about reliability of the previous (LC200 engine) being good when in fact it was terrible. And given a lot of the issues were electrical and injection related (apart from the numerous exhaust system issues) I am not sure the ground up engine rebuild will have solved any of those.
I have driven the Range Rover Sport Autobiography as well as Infinity QX80 (the latest version that was available in Australia) and still have both of them, honestly the best value for money is the Nissan Patrol, followed by the Range Rover Defender. I wouldn't touch the Toyota unless if it was a lot cheaper.
Off-roading with the platinum version of the patrol will give you less approach and departure angle. Not fair comparing with base models. I’ll chose the patrol anyway, it’s solid and the petrol engine is very good.
There is no reliability data on the Toyota as yet, the Nissan has well proven drivetrain, the Defender will spend half it's life in the dealership waiting for parts.
The difference in pricing means you have to drive 500,000 km before you break even with similar spec cars It’s a no brainer the Patrol is in front, the money saved can be spent on after market improvements and turn it into an off road weapon Being naturally aspirated makes it very reliable as less to go wrong No amount of bling can replace reliability especially when broken down in the middle of nowhere in 40 degrees Yes it is a bit dated but who cares it’s been out a lot longer with a proven track record
Why is when "safety" is so important no one does a breaking comparison test at the 100km per hour showing the distance to stop so we understand how safe they are in the market place? RACV used to do this at 80km per hour
Really good review. I have a D300 HSE 110 and, having owned 8 or 9 Land Rovers (Defenders and Discoveries) and Range Rovers over the years, I have to say that this beats them all hands down. My only issue is with the seats. They are electric and as adjustable as can be, but I can't seem to get comfortable on long trips. I find the seat base too hard in its centre and I end up feeling as if I've been kicked in the bum by a horse after about two hours of driving. No amount of adjustment seems to help.
I have an X-Dynamic SE and just did 6 hours today and didn't have that issue myself. I wonder if the different seat material in the HSE vs the X-dynamic is quite different or just different perceptions which is totally fair. I agree with your assessment this is my 3rd LR and I have spent time in many over the years and the Defender is something special.
I found with my new P400 SE 110, that I had to adjust the seating the first couple of drives to get use to the command position seating. I've driven from Adelaide to Sydney with nil issues, very comfortable.
@@trianggaindralukmana2184 how many of 'em actually drive "4x4" tracks? One out of 100. Meanwhile 99 owners gotta put up with a rear axle from last century...
While I love the design of the Landrover, having had two Discoverys from new (as company cars) that literally fell apart around me on outback roads I would be reluctant to spend that sort of money on one. Nissans are clearly designed for the Middle East with their super low petrol costs and the Toyota is (again) relying on reputation / marketing to offer less for more. Makes it hard to choose between these. A landrover built in a Toyota a factory would be perfect. Someone who can design and someone who can build reliability. Don’t laugh, fiat had the 124 sport built in a Mazda factory.
Not sure about Australia but in Europe, LR resales are very very good. Especially the new defender, many which are a year old are currently selling for more than the RRP
@@cameronmurray3039 At the moment in Australia that is true of everything. Landcruisers are going up not down. But all Landrovers plummet like a stone once the warranty runs out here which is reflected in the resale before that because it’s like a countdown to huge bills. We may be different to Europe because we have a country where breaking down is not an option once out of the cities. It’s a real pity that Landrover fails time and time again to make a reliable vehicle because I’ve always loved the design but….
So from this test the Land Rover was clearly better than its rivals. The one thing that could not be tested is long term reliability: the Toyota clearly has an advantage here though it is no longer running a super low tech V8 from which much of its famous reliability derives. Land Rover has a terrible reputation built up over many years of under investment and its infamous Rover V8. But recent surveys show that this poor reputation is now rather over stated to the point of disinformation. At the same time the new V6 in the Toyota is unlikely to maintain its predecessors stellar record, and although overall build quality should be second to none, the difference between the two vehicles is unlikely to be yawning gap it once was. If reliability is your biggest concern get a 70 series with the big V8, If not you may as well choose the one you like the most, which from this test sounds likely to be the Land Rover
Honestly I don't think the new V6 can get more issues than the badly designed 4.5 V8 td. Replacing the injector ramp in the 200 is a 10K€ job here in Europe.
It's interesting to read the comments, it's like some people watched an entirely different video. Granted, there are different configurations that all three vehicles can be optioned with to make them more fit for purpose. No one in their right mind could consider buying the patrol in this economic climate. Thirsty barge sums it up, the end. Land Cruiser, truly uninspiring as usual yet people can't get enough of them. There's nothing inherently wrong with the Land Cruiser, just nothing really good about it, especially for the money. The best thing about it is there are plenty of people out there that drink the Toyota cool-aid so resale is easy if you develop a sense of taste after buying one. Defender, truly an amazing piece of engineering that makes the other vehicles look like vintage farm machinery. With this kind of performance comes complexity. Part for part, the defender is built to a higher quality/standard, there's just more parts. What I don't think people are considering is, this ain't Land Rovers first rodeo. Air suspension has been available since the early 90s and has come leaps and bounds in refinement and reliability. Suspension aside, there are just as many wires running the drive train on the other two, it's 2022, so the "Simpson Desert" argument can be laid to rest... To summarise: Why would you drive an inferior car to avoid fears of what may never happen? In theory you could save heaps of money living in your car, avoid mortgage, rent and a ton of other living expenses, but who wants to do that? If you're one of the rare individuals that truly believes the Land Cruiser is a nicer car to drive, compared back to back.... Go for gold my friend, some people are basic and that's fine. I probably wouldn't put my hand up to test ride a horse as I'm not sure what I should be looking for, some people aren't well acquainted with the finer points of driving. Disclaimer, clearly written by a Land Rover owner but have had experience with all three vehicles (not absolute latest generation)
Thank you for your review and analysis. However it's clear you were deep throating the defender. Maybe you could include reliability as a category next time. Look forward to your next reviews.
Landrover far superior in advancement. Better clearance. Quieter ride. Proven transmission ( ZF 8 speed ). Better approach and departure angle. 900mm wading depth. Suspension levels under load- better for towing. IFS front and back- better on road manners and way better better clearance due to not having low hanging diff centre and low hanging shock absorbers. Monocoque chassis has been beefed upped. Hard to say if it will prove reliable over central Australia corrugated roads?? What you won’t get is a huge dealer network. The Japanese hardly ever innovate. I’d say their best vehicle was the 80 series land cruiser. I’ve owned the 200 series for 3 years , plagued with problems.. unlike my old 80 series with 500k km in the clock. Still running. Granted had a ton of work done over the years but still strong chassis and body.
Those aren’t halogen interior lights in the LC300. Try, incandescent. Odd to say the LR has AWD but say the LC has 4WD. They both have permanent 4WD or AWD if you prefer.
@@Robert-cu9bmYour comment is incorrect. There are AWD vehicles with Low Range. Defender and Discovery are 2 such examples. There was a Subaru I believe in the past with a low range also which was an AWD. The use of terms like AWD and 4WD anyway often are not really useful. An AWD vehicle could be a 6x6 for example where the vehicle has 6 wheels and 6 are driven. However a 4WD could be a 6x4 where the vehicle has 6 wheels and 4 are driven. 4WD just means a vehicle has 4 driven wheels out of any total number whereas an AWD just means all where’s are driven no matter how many (a 2WD motorcycle with an electric motor in each hub is an AWD). Hence my original comment - just call them both permanent 4WD vehicles (or both AWD if you prefer).
I've now talked to a few owners of the new Defender (including a couple that have just finished the big lap) and they absolutely rave about it. I love the old Defenders, but I think Land Rover have produced an excellent vehicle here.
Trade in a Land Cruiser for a new Defender??? I don't rate any Tata product. My Nissan Patrol Y60 TD inline 6 4.2 with front, centre and rear diffs, a massive ladder chassis and solid axles pisses on a pretender.
Needed to upgrade from a prado to tow a 3 tonne van. Compared the 200 Series with the then Discovery 4. The Toyota was positively agricultural by comparison. And my Disco now has 250,000k’s on it and has never blinked. Friends who tow with 200’s are blown a way by how much better the Disco is. And off road, it keeps up comfortably with heavily modified 4WD’ a my teenage kids have. Superior in every way. I’d love to see a test between the 300 series GR sport and a Defender HSE, where they both have much better levels of spec, and the Toyota has some better off road goodies.
Great reviews and was not previously aware of the Landrover Defender 110. Please - why are there no towing mirrors fitted on any vehicle when towing caravans.
Like you said, it depends on what ya want in a vehicle, what it's going to be used for. It is a pitty that nissan didn't keep the 4.2 litre diesel inline 6 engine along with the petrol v8 and updated the diesel.
Fact that the Defender is a Unibody vehicle is the deal breaker for me. The door rubbers, trunk door and plastic elements in the cabin starts creacking over uneven terrain. Talking from experience it's definitely NOT as rigid as the Body-on-Frame vehicles. Nor will it be as reliable nor keep its value as the LC300 does. So I cannot agree with you testers verdict at all.
Funny when the guys over at CarExpert tested the LC300 GR, the panel gaps were horrendous and it started making strange knocking noises. I know a few people with new defenders and none have had issues with any of the stuff you mentioned, nor have I seen anyone report these issues as I'm in a defender owners group.

@@naashuman5503 I guess he told that it was a media car and many others have done offroading with that car before CarExpert got it for the review. Maybe that's the reason for that gap in Bumper. And I couldn't find any strange noises from the car during the offroad test video of him.
@@framex.jpg165 exactly, neither did he mention about it. The gap in the bumper would have been because of the overhang which would have hit multiple rocks and boulders.
Coming from an old Defender, the door rubbers, knocks and creaks are part of the experience. That was a body on frame. I’m sure the new Defender will sound like a Rolls by comparison.
Should test with a bunch of weight in the car to simulate what you would take away 4x4 touring. Say 300+ kgs and then test clearance off-road. Bet the two with no air suspension bottom out plenty more off-road.
Exactly. Everybody bags the air suspension. Obviously compressor reliability was an issue in early models. However. The updated models in the disco 4 have proved reliable. As does the ZF 8 speed auto. (German gearbox-proven ) the defender actually has air compressor mounted inside- better for dust and water ingress. Also has a better wading depth of 900mm. When are people going to wake up. The Landrover is far more accomplished. Reliability seems pretty good as well.. so far.
Enjoyed the review, not having the old tail gate or barn door set up on the LC300 is possibly an issue for me The LR Defender 110 does look appealing but you would have to be a brave person to take one bush. We opted for the very last of the Landcruiser GX 200 series 05/21, with a GVM upgrade. Have already driven from Perth to Cape York and return, towing a 2 tonne hybrid camper. Tackled lots of rough dirt outback roads and with the exception of a little more dust ingress than our old LC105 not one other single issue with the LC200 GX over it’s first 16000kms. Happily I’m not feeling any buyers remorse after watching this review.
I wouldn't surprised if it had more interior space than the new one. The 300 has a way longer engine bay and bonnet, to the detriment of interior space. If I could invest in one I would buy the least demanded 4.6 petrol, and see how prices go with time.
Why is motoring presenters seem to be rusted on Toyota supporters. Can’t really take a lot of notice of them. The patrol in real life is quite better then people think. Mountain trail caravans did a tow test on the patrol and 200 LC surprisingly the patrol had more towing power and used less fuel then the toyota. Don’t agree patrol is dated at all. Forget to mention the All leather seats. Better value for money.

I second that. I have exactly the same vehicle and it continues to surprise me. I love it!
In terms of rebliabilty , hay , who cares about the reliability if you sit in a tractor and hate it every day?😂
Good detailed comment. I really want a new Defender!

Great review! If you want maximum control when moving inch-by-inch in the Defender, select the Rock Crawl program instead of Auto.
(Unlike my pervious car with a ZF gearbox that was awesome but would prefer to blow itself up then ruin your driving experience)
I do enjoy the pure shock on other motorists faces when I smoke them easily. Priceless
The y62 is massive.
@@error404blah interesting 🤔 I've only done 22k in mine.. reckon swap it?
@@rkmckenna I'd absolutely do it if I were you. Again, you have nothing to lose.
Plus, most wear and tear comes from the initial break-in period, just like an engine. So if there would ever be tiny metal shavings in the oil causing problems, it would be now. That's where I reckon most of the trouble comes.
Then every 50k kilometers, and you'll be golden.
Lifetime oils are a scam, it just doesn't make sense from a mechanical standpoint.

Not fair

Ownership needs to take into account reliability and resale. In both areas the Landrover plummet down the rankings if history is any guide.
Nissan is great but needs to do better marketing
Nice review mate

To summarise:
Why would you drive an inferior car to avoid fears of what may never happen?
Land Cruiser is my winner simply because it will out leave the other two. It's known for its durability and less maintenance cost that the other two.
Not the new one
Thank you for your review and analysis. However it's clear you were deep throating the defender. Maybe you could include reliability as a category next time. Look forward to your next reviews.
put the Defender to rockcrawl mode will sort out your throttle touchy response issue.
Haha all in good fun and no damage done.
You guys you better bring all top spec variants from all competitors other than reviewing the vehicles the way you did in this test
Patrol anytime, if youre looking for a reliable machine for 10+yrs usage. We've got the Patrol Nismo here in ME. Love it.
Those aren’t halogen interior lights in the LC300. Try, incandescent.
Odd to say the LR has AWD but say the LC has 4WD. They both have permanent 4WD or AWD if you prefer.
AWD have no low range
Strange that this review is in direct disagreement to almost all independent reviews.
Love the Defender, will definitely trade in my Cruiser for one. I'm tired of all the rattles and breakdowns. Everything feels cheap
All the 3 are King 👑of SUVs !
Which engine on the disco? The Peugeot/Ford or the Ingenium?
That optional middle seat in the defender was an unpractical idea
Time for 4k upgrade for your content. It's almost 2022.
Great review
@@cameronmurray3039 Dear friend of mine does have these 'issues' and I did a 3000km trip with him * South Africa 🇿🇦
I am truly disappointed with the front bumper fit and bad paint finish on that GR 😢 it's TOTALLY unacceptable! I watched the video 👍🏻
Nissan Patrol & Cruiser have Body on Chassis 🤩
Why would you want that?
Reliability seems pretty good as well.. so far.

Which remote town would be able to fix error code 457
That Defender front middle seat is just ridiculous...
Landcruiser's rear seats looks uncomfortably low. Will be really hard on the thighs in long trips.
I wonder after two years 4x4ing (2024) how is reliability is these 3 suvs now?
For 12 years old SUV, Nissan Patrol is the best 👍🏽
Long time to wait
Defender any day. I'm actually surprised that you tested the Nissan, its dinosaur!
Agree. I can't believe anyone is still buying the Patrols!
Brilliant- another comparison video with no verdict
It's pretty clear the Defender was the best of the three vehicles across our testing... did you watch the video?
Thanks
Matt
@@carsguide Can you point me to the time where you say that?
Patrol y62 or 300 series anyday for me (Atmost the y62). Though I have love for the Defender.
