I think Harley exists but as a therapist and probably not as his girlfriend. I'm wondering if the scene of him chained up outside in the rain is at the end? I love that they brought back Gary, Arthur's clown co worker to this movie in the wedding chapel scene. Joaquin earned money as a busker before he became an actor and sang in Walk The Line. Robert De Niro wasn't the man Arthur thought was his dad. His mother made out that Thomas Wayne was Arthur's dad. And he punched him in the face and told him to keep away from Bruce.

Love the look of this! Yeah it's difficult to know what it's all about. I wonder if it will be explained at all. Also, Steve Coogan as psychiatrist is....a novel idea haha!

Steve Coogan can be a real method actor, but I remember when we watched "24 Hour Party People" and you kept saying his Tony Wilson reminded you of Alan Partridge! I feel the same way. It's very rare that I can watch him in anything and not think of Alan Partridge. 👍

@@FFlynnsArcade Haha! I had forgotten that! It'll be interseting to see him in this.

I had a mixture of emotions when waiting to see this trailer. I was excited to see it, but really worried that I wouldn't be impressed. However I loved the trailer and I am excited about the film coming out. However I have few theories about what the trailer could mean. It raises so many questions, especially because Arthur Fleck is such an unreliable narrator. Now I am convinced that Harley Quinn doesnt actually exist and is a figment of Arthur's imagination. If anyone has any theories, let me know.

There do seem to be hints in the trailer that Harley either doesn't exist, or if she does, at least some of his interactions with her are all in his head, but I kinda hope that's not the case because that'd just be retreading what they already did in the first film with his neighbor.
As far as whether this film will have a more positive tone-- probably only "positive" from the perspective of Arthur and Harley, based on "Folie à Deux" literally being in the title. In that vein, I think it may essentially be an inverted redemption arc-- the love and admiration that Harley shows towards The Joker will cement that as his real identity, and Arthur Fleck will cease to be-- just based on the final scene of the trailer where she says, "I want to see the real you."

@@7vezda I think you could be right about this film being about Arthur's inverse redemption arc. He was a fairly sympathetic character in the first film, but maybe this film will see him truly embracing his chaotic evil identity. He may find happiness and fulfillment, but at the expense of everyone else. I am expecting a dark twist in the film and I think you might have predicted it.
