$300K for a handbuilt fully metallic E-Type Jaguar..........worth every cent and more. I'm not a Jag guy, I bet you have a special spot for this one, it has me walking on three legs.
Obviously not the cheapest or easiest route but it's really cool they build the car almost all Jaguar. NOT a cheap car to work on, restore or modify. Certainly won't see one of those next to you at the next stoplight. Really unique car.
There's valid reasons why these E-Types are worth so much money, and have such a huge following....I personally really like Jags, especially the independent, posi rearends....
Very well done - they took the best elements of the 6 cylinder cars and added an upgraded V-12 - only thing "wrong" are the wheels. Other than than - A +
@@AutotopiaLA My favorite part, and it was surprising after seeing the burnouts at the beginning of the video, is that it is a souped up Jaguar 12 cylinder, not an American V8. Don't get me wrong, I love American V8s, but not in an E type (although I wouldn't turn one down either). Sean B Would you care to comment on my query about claimed 500bhp from the mentioned engine modification. Lister Le Mans version of V12 claimed 600bhp but that was taken out to 7.0l and had twin supercharger and fuel injection
This is an absolutely KILLER interpretation of the E-Type! I LOVE the honkin' V-12 - I'd do EXACTLY the same thing ....... I'd set it on Dunlop solid wheels and lower it about 2 inches and make it PERFECT .... WHAT a hooligan ride, though!! Heeheehee!! Outstanding!
I've always loved the look of those Jags. That long front end is so classic. Add to it the fact that it screams down the road and its amazing as far as I'm concern. Thanks for sharing this one. Great episode
When I read the video title I thought...oh please no, not another classic car ruined by putting a huge V8 Chevy engine in, or an awful turbo conversion. This was a nice surprise, lovely to see they’ve stayed true to the brand and modified with all Jaguar parts. Great job guys, keep up the good work.
This one is nice for sure, but I take exception to your statement, "another classic car ruined by putting a huge V8 Chevy engine." I may be in Purist Land here, but here is nothing wrong with modifying _any_ car, classic or not.
Bad ass! As a Jag lover myself I want to transplant the Super Charged 4.0 L inline six from a `95-97 XJR to a series 3 2 plus E-type. His car would not confuse me. I recognize everything on the car, including the `95-96 Aero Sport wheels.
One very 😊 exciting car Shawn!!! It makes you want to go out and "snag a Jag" and do something similar! Your guests are real Father and son ⚙️ gear heads!!!

Enzo Ferrari said that is the most beautiful car he had ever seen. I love the fact that it has a real Jag V12. If only they could get rid of the grill and get some custom 72 spoke wire wheels with knock offs it would be perfect.
I love this channel and the Jag is awesome!! Never seen anyone pull that kind of power out of that particular V12, but the sound is amazing. Only thing about the car that is throwing me off is the exhaust. Looks like an afterthought underneath. That kind of cash flowing, I'd expect to see all stainless and perfect piping. Other than that, very cool ride.
james bowling I get what you mean about the exhaust. And considering this was built almost 15 years ago I can go with it. Fun car! Never been sideways in a Jag before.
Crazy as it may sound, that Jaguar V12 was continually developed for the next 20 years. I hear you making it sound like people questioning the prices and sure there's some crazy numbers being talked about but this guy is a real craftsman and that stuff costs
I "rebuilt" the entire front end on one of those due to a crash. He was not kidding when he said a raw steel front end is $15,000.00. Then you have to fit it, body work, align it ( it only has maaaybe 250 adjustment points as it is not just one panel, but many bolted together. ), paint it. Final fit and finish.
