  • This past fall we teamed up with Evil Manufacturing to build the world’s first long-travel 3rd Gen Raptor. We debuted the build at the 2022 SEMA Show with our good friends at Bilstein Shock Absorbers, where it was well received by the off-road community. Following the show, it went back to Southern California so that Evil Manufacturing could make some final tweaks and ensure that it was ready to rock both on-road and off.
    Now that we finally got our 3rd Gen Raptor build back in Colorado, we wanted to compare it to a stock 37 Edition Ford Raptor and show just how incredible this build really is. With 37” Nitto Trail Grapplers, Bilstein Coilovers and Bypass Shocks, Custom Armor from Evil Manufacturing, a Fiberwerx Widebody Kit, Baja Designs lighting upgrades, and much more, our 3rD Gen Raptor is about as unique as they get!

    Tune in to see how our custom 3rd Gen Ford Raptor compares to a stock 37 Edition counterpart. We dive into the overall stance, difference in tires and the performance gained with the Nitto Trail Grappler, Suspension Design, and functional accessories that we added. At the end we get some on-road impressions from owner Derrik Blackmore. Stay tuned for more as we get this truck into its natural habitat in the Desert and share how well it performs off-road as well!

    had the Evil 3 link on my Gen 1 Raptor... they make unreal suspension systems.

    That 35 inches is very true for the stock 37. When these die, I guess I might pick up some Nittos. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

    It’s wider than the folks leaving the all you can eat buffet! And as a bonus it pushes the brush out of the way for our regular sized rigs!

    Impressive suspension travel improvement with only 1/2" added ride height 👍

      Probably our favorite part. Pretty impressive what Evil Manufacturing and Bilstein Shock Absorbers were able to come up with!

    So the track width is about ten inches wider up front, but what about the back?

    Do they make a cantilever system for gen 2 raptors?

      Yes, RPG makes that kit. Will be going with that kit and getting it powder coated. You can utilize your stock shocks as well

      This kit does fit the Gen 2 Raptor as well with added bracketry...

    Why are the front tires sticking out more than the back ones ?

    • @dougparks8556
      @dougparks8556 ปีที่แล้ว

      The rear end is stock and not wider like the front suspension is being long travel...

    Build cost?

    • @dougparks8556
      @dougparks8556 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rough Cost would be in the $32000-$35000 range with installation...

    Would you say all these parts and labor double the price of the truck?😊

    • @Built2Wander
      @Built2Wander ปีที่แล้ว

      You could certainly get close.

      Add to the price and lower the resale , unfortunately you never recover any cost for radical custom upgrades

    Seems like it would be more budget friendly to start with a regular F-150 instead of replacing everything that makes the Raptor a Raptor.
