  • BBC TV Detectorists 2023 - Framlingham And Surrounding Areas - Includes NEW Show Locations I guarantee nobody else has filmed.
This was filmed over the week 21-26 May 2023 whilst we were on holiday, it includes many of the locations we couldn’t visit in the original video due to the pandemic and also some gems from the Christmas 2022 special.
Here’s the video from my 1st visit on May 18th 2021

Please if you did enjoy this video consider giving us a thumbs up and why not leave a comment? We reply personally to them all.
This TH-cam channel is mainly for our adventures in the campervan but occasionally we add videos like this as it's more appropriate than our other transport channel, if you're only interested in the travel and tips and hints about camping we apologise but as our most popular video to date is the previous visit to this tv show and its locations we figured it was as good a place as any to host the second visit.

I've watched every episode of Detectors numerous times and still love it. The writing is really good, the characters are great and all fit into the story, and it's a lovely part of the country as well.
Thanks very much for doing these videos !

Not watched this programme, but might now watch it. I'm not familiar with this area of the country, but looks worth visiting.

The area is beautiful, the show is a hidden gem you’ll either love or not get… it won a BAFTA though so give it a shot, very clever writing that you can watch multiple times and still not realise things.

I’m all honesty some stuff is self indulgent and I don’t care if people watch it but that said the 1st episode I did is the highest viewed on this channel so who actually knows what people want? 😊

Ok confession time , we’ve never actually watched The Detectorists , so we might have to watch it now for it to make sense. We enjoyed the nice walk around the village though and enjoyed the watch folks. All the best G and M

Cheers, it’s totally self indulgent is this video but that said when I filmed part 1 2 years ago I didn’t expect 24k views so it’s also a decent video to do all be it a slow burn.
The show is so good but requires many watches to get the clever writing.
      I love it.

I wasn't a fan of Detectorists originally but it is a great show, very cleverly written and well worth the watch, it is charming and subtle and has a feel good vibe.

We’ve been evangelical about Detectorists ever since the beginning. Our friends in our new village have only just discovered it and are now equally enthusiastic. Thank you so much for both videos.

Dear Rick and Heather, I've watched both your films and loved them: it's like being in the company of two very good humoured old friends! I only discovered the show this year and I've already seen it over and over again, I really think it's the best thing on TV ever. Your obvious knowledge and familiarity with the genius of it shines through all your scenes, and makes the show all the more accessible. Thank you so much for this lovely experience, I wish I could buy you some numbers or maybe a lemonade? Pub?? Julie xx

Thankyou :) We travelled from New Zeeeeealand to the UK/Europe a bit before this show sadly, otherwise we'd have made the trip to visit the area especially. It is most definitely on the list for the next chance we get :) (And yes, I do actually know a Rory, but not a Simone).

A brilliant little revisit to Framlingham, with the added bonus of getting into the community hall guessing the locals are used to having people going round trying to find the locations.

Another great video. I did enjoy the first one you put up too. However I was a bit narked when you jumped over the fence at Wantisden to sit on the lunch tree. The area is an SSI site and one of my favourite local places to photograph. I don;t think you've been to Parham yet? Went last month but couldn't quite work out exactly where they filmed. Thought I'd found the metal gate that Lance climbed over but was different when I checked back.

    • @RickandHeather
      @RickandHeather  ปีที่แล้ว

What’s at Parham? The lunch tree was one of those “I’ll never be here again” moments and obviously the gate was open but I didn’t film that bit….. honest officer 😉 the location map on google isn’t updated so I’m a bit vague on some areas.

    • @picturesofsuffolk5038

@@RickandHeather Parts of Parham were used in S1. Especially at the end of Ep. 6 where a drone is used and you can see an outline of a ship in the grass.

    Hi again rick & heather
Throughly enjoyed this second part return to framlingham & like mentioned its a shame that theres been some changes like trees gone & the original dmdc building gone but obvously there was a need.
Did a little research myself & apparantly mekensie owned lances TR7 hoping that the first series would be a hit so he kepr the car has to not need to hire one for a second series & the sale at auction of the car which i beleave went for £32,400😮😮 the proceeds built the new building to replace the old dmdc!!
Really would love to visit this summer & definatly will & made a spooky descovery myself-: ive been wearing all along the exact same model of watch that lance wears in the show a lourus lumibrite rj655ax-9😮 i knew somthing was familiar with that watch & im bloody wearing one from time to time!!!😂😂😂
Great video again guys & many thanks..
    Regards you new friend
    Marco
    Pub rick?? Go on then!!😏😉👌🏼
P.s,following your channel now guys 👍🏼

Glad you enjoyed it 😊 there are a few more “Tv and film locations” videos on there but on the whole it’s just me and Heather in the camper van, yes I knew about the car but not the watch, if you are on Facebook there’s a Great Detectorists page, enjoy your visit if you get to Fram 😊
