- We have finally received the long awaited firmware update for the Turnigy Evolution transmitter. Here is how to flash the new firmware and I also show you what has changed.

Yay!!!! I started out with a FlySky i6X and it had RSSI, expo and many other features I don't understand so I was really surprised when the Turnigy Evolution didn't have these features.
Thanks Turnigy for the FW update and thanks JC for letting us know and showing us around.

Nice video man I've watched pretty much all your videos and they have helped a lot .. Hey do you have this problem or notice this with the firmware update . I'm using the flysky x6B receiver and I've notice that the rssi ,battery,the signal from receiver to remote the info will go out and come back on it beeps like it lost connection but I still have control and I have the copter rite next to me. Hope you get what I'm saying lol and have you ever seen a update and your like man idk idk lol then you do the update and regret doing it lol ya I kind like the old setup lol but I got use to the new setup ..

Same as most of the comments below. Watched most of the evolution playlist... and man...! let me tell you something, I feel like a dry sponge dropped in a puddle of water ! Can't thank you enough. Learned so much . I have a spectrumdx8 and I been in the market for a good radio.

Bonjour, j'ai une turnigy evolution V1, j'ai voulu la flasher en suivant votre lien mais depuis la mise à jour tout est en vrac. Avant mes neutres étaient parfaits, là je ne parviens même plus à les régler. Les fins de courses sont hs, je souhaite revenir un firmware fonctionnel, auriez vous conservez le firmware d'origine quelque part s'il vous plait ?
D'avance merci pour votre aide, cela fait deux jours que je cherche une solution en vain.

What do you mean? What happened?
Did you have an issue with FLY MODE causing switch A to not work in betaflight? My quad wouldn't arm until I set FLY MODE to null, then I could program switch A again. It looks like the counter in the FLY MODE menu is the set value. For example, when I didn't disable that feature, AUX 1 in betaflight showed a value of 1500 on the receiver tab. The HobbyKing video seems to show it being used for disarming and various flight modes.
I haven't used it. I just turned it off then set aux 5 to switch A, 6 to B, and 7 to C.
Project Blue Falcon, the values are PWM settings. Set switch B on the screen, type in your mode names (Acro, Angle, etc), then adjust PWM to suit. If you don't use any other flight mode, yeah, just null it out. Turns out Albert Kim explained it well. Thanks again for your content!
love the playlist bro, I'm trying to get the evolution to turn off battery warning for the ia6bi receiver which as far as I know does not have rssi etc... Is there anyway to turn it off? when i try to click on the x for rx setup in battery section it tells me no ext. sensor, i can not stand red flashing gimbals when trying to fly, please help me out!
RSSI is the relative received signal strength in a wireless environment, in arbitrary units. RSSI
is an indication of the power level being received by the receive radio
after the antenna and possible cable loss. Therefore, the higher the RSSI number, the stronger the signal.
JC, I'm sure you've been asked this, but have you heard of Turnigy making this for Spektrum?

I think they use dBm ( -60 dBm ) not percentage ( 60% )

Bruno is correct- Received Signal Strength Indication is measured in dBm (loss), so the greater the number, the weaker the signal (greater loss).

where did you get the stick pads for your evolution?
A friend of mine 3d printed them. Not sure where he got the file from though.
I would love to get a copy of that file if you could find out where it came from.
