Not only do you lose ALL settings, but you have to rebind all of your receivers, although ia6c users will find that simple. I mostly use X6B's so I had to pull some quads apart to reach the bind button. HK: you probably should tell people about that.
If you use the SwBC switch for PID then you might want to hold off on updating as this has been taken out. You only get the SwA, SwB and SwC options no SwBC. Also the Touch Screen calibration has been reset and have not found a way to recalibrate yet.
There's still a deadband exactly at the middle of the throttle stick which does not make any sense. If you move the throttle stick from bottom to top the channel output value increases smoothly from 1000 to 1500, then the output is pinned at 1500 while the stick still goes up, and then at some point it catches up and goes from 1500 to 2000. That looks like some sort of a software leftover from the self-centering throttle mode or something similar. Is there any chance we could get that fixed with the next firmware update?
There are definitely bugs in this firmware. Got my first failsafe from only flying 10m infront of myself, never had one before the update. Another pilot also has a turngiy evo with upgraded firmware and we both experienced issues with our receivers not being picked up by the evo after powering on the quad, had to power cycle both to get them to connect. I was also unable to get my receiver to connect whilst my friend had his powered on. These issues occur intermittently but never happened before update.
Has this firmware been taken down from the website? Just bought it and is great little radio but lacks a simple dual rate and expo function. Or even a throttle curve. If it had those then would be an AWESOME little radio for the price. Surely these features can be included in a future firmware update.

More or less think of a model as a tie to a style of rx (not quite true, but close enough), output mode (sbus, ibus, or pwn), and a channel mapping. 1 model could potentially control all of your quads assuming your using same receivers, same signal protocol and same switches. i.e. same style of rx, channel 5 is always your arm and channel 6 is always your flight mode, and your always using sbus.

How can it be that the place to get the firmware is a place where any HobbyKing customer can upload to? There's a whole bunch of dodgy files there. Also, does it only work on Windows machines?

How do I get my computer to recognize the transmitter. When I open up the firm ware update the transmitter does not show on the list to update. The computer makes that stupid doink sound after I plug it in but that's it.
Check your transmitter set up screen for firmware update. Place it in that and it should recognize. I struggled with the same thing for about 15 minutes.

No don't wait 15 minutes, meaning i was dumbsh!t and thought i could just plug in and it would work without telling it to firmware update. It should recognize immediately after you tell the tx to firmare update. Try using a second pc or a different usb cable.

Just tried the new download and reset my Vortex150 up again,no problems what so ever,just followed the video and all's good. Good update and just need to go out and fly to see how we get on. ;-)

Any chance of vbat tel through ibus with betaflight? This will allow a single vbat connection to the flight controller and use of smaller receivers.

I'll try using another laptop. I've had problems with this stupid laptop for the last 6 months (finally got windows update to work).
