I'm going to be a new dad in February and stress is an understatement. I'm in between jobs due to me moving to a new city with my fiance. I have no savings and I've been depressed and completely unmotivated for months. It takes everything i have just to get out of bed and take a shower. My fiance also has depression and bipolar disorder so i know im gonna have to be the glue that holds us all together. I used to have a nice apartment, a nice car, i was running a business at 23 years old and was set for success. Once i found out she was pregnant i lost all motivation. I lost my job, lost my apartment, lost all my savings. Im excited to be a dad but im so fucking scared because i dont know how I'm gonna hold myself together let alone my fiance and daughter. Some days i wake up excited as hell. Other days i just collapse from the pressure and the anxiety. We were wanting kids but a few years down the road. Im not ready for this. I feel like a failure in all directions and im so lost
My wife is due in December and I'm so excited to see our baby and to start my journey of the best version of myself for my family, doing whatever it takes to make them feel that I'm here for them, and always will be
I actually won't be a father soon, is that being a father and adopting children has always been a life long dream of mine and I want to be as ready as I can when I have my kiddos!

First time father here. My wife is due in about 7 weeks and my feelings are all over the place. Some days I’m super excited and then other days I’m nervous, thinking wether I’m going to be doing things correctly or if I’m doing things right. Having the feeling of I should have things set and if I’m prepared or not. Nobody talks about how dads and dads to be he feel they only ask about the women. Our feelings are important as well, to anyone reading this … wether you’re a first time dad or a 4th time dad just know that you got this and you are doing an amazing job !!
I'll be a new dad late February 2024, potentially on my birthday too! Its been a weird experience so far, feeling my son move in my wifes belly, the baby shower experience, the nursery coming together, etc. Is this normal to feel odd about it the whole time leading up to the birth? When does it become "real" for most guys?
First time dad here. Have a baby girl arriving in January, and I have to tell you thank you for these videos. I am so excited to meet her, and your videos have helped me to start shifting my mindset to be a better partner and father.
She is due in September, and I’m most excited to experience the world through her eyes. See everything again for the first time and to be able to give her the love and guidance my sisters and I were missing. I just stumbled across your channel and can’t wait to watch more!
My wife and I are great at saving money so that's nice. We're expecting our first in April. I'm most excited to see his personality some to light and team him about the world.
I'm gonna be a new father & a girl dad in June. I'm excited and anxious at the same time lol But I'm looking forward to the experience of fatherhood and all it brings
I hope your baby girl is healthy happy. My little girl joins us in September and I’m getting so nervous but so overwhelmed with joy, it’s getting difficult to differentiate between the two XD
Most of these advices will help me to become a mother because me and my husband are equally stressed about our first coming child. Finances, gratitude and empathy are good things to remember!
Due in may, and honestly im excited for some reason to keep going; to drag myself out of bed every morning and get the train to work. itll be worth it to see a smiling child
I literally saw the notification for this video while my wife was in the second stage of labour. The three of us are home now and heres dad watching this video now 😅 thanks so much for the awesome advice🤘
I think the most exciting part about having my new baby boy is that I get to create a bond with him. I can't wait to show him the world and spend time with him as well as my girlfriend/wife. I just get this feeling that it's gonna connect us so much and be an amazing, beautiful glow-up in our lives, that will help us thrive the most we ever have in life. I want to be the best I can be I don't want to let him or his mother down. I just overthink sometimes and get scared that what if I change when the baby comes maybe I get too overwhelmed or stressed and it just changes me. i don't know I just want to do a good job and treat them the best I can I truly am excited to be a father and I can't wait to give this lil man tons of love and I hope god takes us in the right path growing our knowledge, bond, strength, and love with each other as a family.
November 17th hopefully finding out the gender tonight. Our first child. I am most excited for is to get to help the child grow into a wonderful person and to watch them grow and explore the world and do great things
This video really helped a lot glad i watched this . i’m 22 and am so excited but very nervous to be a father . my baby is due April 6th . i really most excited about watching my baby grow and how much they’ll change my life .
I remember when I was 19 or 20 and I heard a say of "If you are 25 and your friends aren't talking about stocks, housing and starting a family, but are instead talking about parties and drinking, you need new friends" Ignored it at the time, but when I hit 24, 25 and I got engaged, married, and now pregnant with my wife, I realised how true that was
I’m going to be a dad in a week or so! I’m very much excited to see our little princess soon, but I’m kind of nervous as well. Thanks always for giving awesome tips and educating new dads around the world! I’m watching from Japan and I’m really thankful for what you are doing because there are few learning materials for new dads in my country that are as good as yours. Thank you!!
I just wanna say thank you for making this videos and your podcast. My baby boy is due any day now. I was starting to feel like I was drowning organizing all of the the stuff I get to do now. Your tips helped me organize while I didn't really have a father to talk to about this stuff
I’ve watched so many of your videos over the past months leading to my sons arrival which was just yesterday thank you so much for the help Jason you made it so much easier for me!
"Empathetic listening" is the #1 tip ALL GUYS should know, when relating to ALL women. She doesn't want advice, or for you t "Fix" it.. It's a big struggle for me but the best advice I've ever received.
My girlfriend is 10 weeks and it does seem a little surreal but I guess it will hit home after the first scan. At the moment I’ve been checking out your videos which have been great thanks.
My baby is due in Jan and I’m just excited and blessed I get this opportunity to become a father. I just hope I will be a good father and not put my kid down the way my father put me down. Either way I feel honored to become a dad. I love ur channel it has been so helpful for me. I’m just sooo soooooooooo nervous right now. Lol
Well baby Forrest has arrived! Took a long time! Had to induce and wanted to do it the natural way. Well after 24 hours of contractions my wife decided that the best bet was to get an epidural. She was sad feeling beat that things did not go her way. After the epidural and sweating the small stuff she said it was the best decision ever. Then the pitoson was stressing out the baby for the second time were both exhausted and really had to decide well c-section might be the best bet. We did not want an emergency c-section to happen so we decided to bite the bullet and get the c-section. Luckily we have great care and I suited up and went into the OR with her. The baby was born and is healthy with no complications! I just wanted to tell you that your videos made me stronger going in and being the support person my wife needed. Have to deal with curve balls and that is life! Thank you for all of your videos I look up to you as a positive influence and with just the videos you have made me into a better person/dad.
This is so awesome Forrest! Thank you for writing me and sharing your experience. I am so glad we get to go along on your journey. Congrats on baby Forrest!

Due in March for our baby boy. These videos have been very helpful, especially worrying about work life balance.

I have to be honest, it is worrying that we have to have empathy explained to us with a definition, examples etc.
Love it
Thanks!
