There's always something so shocking about how these Marvel DC Crossovers are always so so so bad. It's like a once in a lifetime opportunity to create something like this and they never go beyond mediocre or just okay.
I am still waiting for Daredevil and the TMNT to cross over. Imagine the banter! Leonardo: Master Splinter says The Foot are on the move! Daredevil: Everything you said is wrong. Raphel: What did you say "Red"? DD: It's The Hand, not the Foot. Also his name is Stick, not Splinter. Michaelangelo: Says the guy who got radioactive ooze on him and became a seeing blind man. DD: Yeah well how did you get your ability to talk? Donatello: Radioactive ooze
It's unexplainable how Alan Grant wrote a story this bad. He's my absolute favorite Batman writer, so suffice to say I was disappointed the first time I bust this open. Really wish Norm Breyfogle had drawn it. Would've loved to see his Daredevil.
Just gonna put this out there. In the upcoming Devil's Reign event, Mayor Fisk has kinda sorta his own version of the Magistrate. Coincidence? Yes most likely.
You guys should do an episode where you cover the original origins of the most popular characters. Since they’ll be fairly short you could lump them together into one episode.
Please do back issues of unmade comics. Itd bee cool to have a discussion on how those would have changed either the history of the characters or comics themselves

I watched this yesterday but I'm coming back again for another watch so early just because of your highlighting of "tootle pip ole chum" from the kingpin. It's living in my head and I would do anything to hear Vincent D'Onofrio say it
Batman: Hey Daredevil, how are you looking at the computer screen if you're blind? Daredevil: You see Batman, I can hear the electrons in the computer moving across the screen, which combined with the smell of the metal of the computer allow me to-- Batman: You know what, forget I asked.

The bit of them making fun of DC and Marvel's publishing practices just made me think of the Thanos "perfectly balanced as all things should be" meme where one side is "DC publishing 10 Batman Titles" and the other side is "Marvel publishing 10 Spider-Man Titles"
3:23 after reading one of the tie-in issues from the Batman: Knightfall saga, (the one with some guy named "Priest" or something like that; he had a Templar themed looking outfit with a red cloak. Come to think of it, so did Azrael, but that's neither here nor there), that explains it.
Would have been cool if Dare Devil teamed up with Azreal bat. A good csthloic boy like Matt should have a good reaction to Jean-Pauls corrupted faith and his super secret Saint that only the cool kids know.
When an English comic writer tries to put English sensibilities/cultural norms into American titles (Alan Grant, Alan Davis, Alan Moore... hey, wait) it's jarring and I get rather defensive for no reason. I guess this is what other readers around the world feel like when an American writer just assumes our own cultural behaviors translate globally.
Twilight of the Superheroes would be a fantastic episode, that and that one story where Swamp Thing was going to meet Jesus, if there's enough material for that lmao
