A good way to cut excessive consumarism. Just apply the following test before each purchase: A) Do I have 5x the value of the item sat in my bank account? B) If its something I want but don't actually need, then I also commit to lock the same amount away in a savings account or private pension. Applying both certainly cuts down dumb spending!
@@pooletrainboy not an exact science, but it's high enough to ensure there is always emergency money left in the bank. It breaks the the habit of spending everything in my account just for the sake of it.
