    I'm glad that you have a work/life balance figured out as so many drivers don't even understand it.

      I think a lot of times people don't understand it because that's not their first priority but instead their first priority is make all the money they can because that's going to solve all their problems. Then you get older and wiser and start realizing there's more important things in live than just gathering up all the money you can Lol

    You’re exactly right. I’m out of Gas City, IN 7055 and every year I take all of January off on a 6/3 program. Every year it’s wide open. January and February are always the worst winter months here. A vacation to the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos or even south Florida is better than working for half of what you’re worth

    Thanks for all the videos man! I’m on my 5th week solo here in Sanger Texas. I’m excited for $400-$450 days. A $500 ADP is the moon to me😂

      Right on! Congratulations. It takes about a year to really get used to things and visit most of the stores and vendors to really find your stride.

      What is ADP?

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Kevo1993 ADP stands for average days pay. So any PTO days off you take throughout the year that is what you will get paid each day. Also there are other things we do like watch videos on a computer on the latest thing we need to learn or go to meetings as a group and also training as far as refresher course on winter driving or hazmat or something like that. In some of those cases we will get paid a 10th of our ADP per hour. So if I have a $500 ADP then I will get paid $50 an hour to sit in a class for 8 hours and learn about the latest thing they want us to know or refresher course on hazmat or something like that.

    Hey Don, new guys just getting in are given 21 days and then the opportunity to gain 4 saftey days their first year. Still plenty of odd time. Nice vid about taking the PTO on days you otherwise wouldn’t typically be making the bigger bucks 👍

    I was on 5 on and 5 off for 3 years until our dc lowered the program to 2. Got outbid

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hopefully that doesn't happen to me but I'm probably pretty safe I've been here over 17 years now. If it does happen I would consider doing the 6-3 again I really liked that program.

      @@20plustrucking 6/3 is what I'm on. It does lower your adp because you only have 4-6 hours on your 6th day.

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@scott3805 Yes that was one of the things I noticed when I was on it. You have to work extra to get that ADP up and you really can't do it working a 6-3.

    Hey
    I’m looking to drive for Walmart
    But have 4 points on license
    With reckless driving on record
    Will they give me a chance ?
    Or MVR has to be completely clean?

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have a feeling they won't go for the reckless driving but I'm not sure about the four points. Your best bet is to go to drive4walmart.com and read what it says there about requirements.

    If you have to shut your day down early does walmart pay anything for that? Or does it just count as a break?

    • @20plustrucking
      @20plustrucking  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just counts for whatever you made in the day. Sometimes if it's really severe and you have to shut down extremely early then you could talk to management and possibly get paid a full days wage. It's not really super common to do that but it's possible.
