I love fishing! The Arbor knot used to stump me sometimes... Cool to see it tied close up with bright colored paracord.
    Thank you!

Thank u for using a highly contrasting line to background. So many dumbasses on youtube forget about their audience and forget this simple visual aid for us to see what the instructor is trying to show us. Thank you!

Not knockin' your vid at all; this knot would probably work for spooling a reel. However, this is not a true Arbor Knot. It is correct up until you tied another overhand knot with the tag OVER the main line as the blocker. Now that can probably work, but a true Arbor Knot has a final overhand knot on just the tag end tied on itself, not the main line. The reason for that is when the original loop around the spool slips as it is tightened, it will pull and slip the tag end until it reaches the overhand knot tied on the tag end. THAT will act as a blocker and not allow the tag end to slip any further and will tighten the knot against the spool. Go to any bait shop that spools line and they'll confirm this. Or simply watch other vids... here's one by Abu Garcia th-cam.com/video/w3TUP9XL72k/w-d-xo.html ... some of my buds prefer to tie the overhand knot on the tag end first and then tie the overhand slip knot around the spool; makes it easier in case you don't have a lot of tag end to tie an overhand around itself, it's already there. Again, not knockin' your vid.

Thank you so much, every other video I watched was so hard to see the line and behind their fingers. Wonderful video

I used this forever til I realized it would weaken the line but it works great if u never reach the end of the line

If you’re reaching the end you need more line lol

*Have used the braided line for several years **enjoyable.fishing** recommend both for salmon in the summer as well as walleye through the ice. Can’t beat it for the price!*

Bryan, I would go with the Bimini Twist Knot instead, it is a much stronger knot designed for fly fishing for sharks, tarpon and sail fish. Might want to do a video on that one.
