Yeah, he could only work with the 'tools' provided, he knew the result wasn't great, and wasn't afraid to still own it. While a lot of these shows are pretty exaggerated when usa, there's nothing I'd like more than a chef like Ramsey to critique my cooking, so I could learn how to be better. Aaron certainly got that, but wasn't in control of purchasing.
Aaron knew he could do a lot better if was given better things to work with. He was forced to use really substandard ingredients, and knew it, That he still owned that, is what made him one of the stars of the show.
I always feel it's important to point out that even artificial crab meat does contain some crab as a flavoring agent, and can absolutely trigger an alergic reaction

As someone who's been on both sides of this kind of conversation, it is ALWAYS a treat to find customers and servers that enjoy the banter. It makes serving food and preparing to dine both much less stressful and more relaxing.

I’ve only seen one kitchen nightmares where the food wasn’t the issue. The Uok version with the soul food lady. She just needed a gimmick to gets butts in her restaurant seats. All these others, “oh our foods amazing” yea but Gordon spits it out and lets you know when it’s shit and still they live in Lala land that their food is good.
