    Nice video Ross. Good to hear all of the animals are doing great. But hey the old Ollie is ready for work again. Thank you for sharing the video.

    There was certainly a lot of animal noises in this one, that pesky bolt snapping pushed all the wrong buttons. Well hey, you got it on there and the hoses all re-installed to original, that's a big accomplishment. Your getting it there, nice to see the old keep sake getting fixed up. Thanks and have a good night!

    It's an convenience but I think many of us have made a mistake somewhere along the line. I know I have with carburetor gaskets. At least you know it is correct now.

    Those couplers look great. We had the other ones on our 1850 it was miserable trying to hook anything up.

    Hi Ross great and informative video as always, you mentioned in the video that you were going to rebuild the seat on the 1650 . That is something I would definitely like to see as I have a 1650 that also needs the seat rebuilt.

    What does the electric part of the hydro-electric do? I don’t know what the system pressure is on the hydraulics but those looked like schedule 40 pipe nipples and elbows. They’re only rated for 150 psi. They told us in trade school not to use galvanized pipe on air or hydraulic systems. The galvanizing will flake off and cause problems down the road. I’ve broken that rule when black iron wasn’t handy. And yes we were told not to use teflon tape on hydraulics because it can find its way to the pump or into valves and cause problems. I’ve broken that rule many times. Just leave the tape off of one thread.

    So my question for us dummies, different style couplers. Is it preference or is there a style that is better in certain situations and why do you use the ones that you use?😊

    • @rosstheoliverman
      @rosstheoliverman  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      The 8250 Pioneer are the ones I prefer. They are push-pull and they couple under pressure. If you’re really worried about coupling under pressure, you can jump up to the 9000 series that come in a pair and they have those levers to release the pressure. But that’ll be three or $400 for the set.
