- The 2024 Summer Consignment sale at Heidelberger Equipment in Rock Creek, Minnesota is ready to start. Everyone has their bidding numbers and they are looking for a deal. Trinity Dairy is there too! Catch some of the auction action as we see a variety of tractors like John Deere, Ford, International, Farmall, Case IH, and Kubota sell. There were also deals with Bobcat, John Deere, and Cat Skid Steers. Although fewer items were at the sale, there were still plenty of Gravity Boxes, Hay Wagons, Haybines, Discbines, Rakes, and more. The sale can be a great place to snag a deal on some tractors or equipment. Did Alan purchase anything? We also gave a sneak peek at how Jessica did at Gopher Dairy Camp.

Thank you for showing sold prices. That took you some time, but it's appreciated
Good for you Alan hope it works great for you and something that will help you on the farm.
Good one about the rock picker Alan 😀
Thanks for the tour and the prices. I appreciate it.
Thinking about buying equipment for Justin , How cool is that 😁👍 . Great video Al , congratulations on the purchase .
Congratulations on the purchase. Hope it runs well for you.
Thanks for the auction walk around. Looking forward to see your purchase in action in the field.
Great video folks, glad to see you made a purchase that can help you
You made a good deal on that NH haynine over the Deere. Always a good deal if you have more then one of the same. Them first series of Deere disbine are getting hard to find some of the parts for because Deere didn't build all of it.
I'm excited to see you and your son cut hay together,my dad and I cut together with a 469 and 488 before he passed away, now I have a 5209 new idea and a 495 new Holland, awesome video
Howdy Alan, Jen, Family,
I hope ya'll are having a great day,
Thank you Alan and Jen for the prayers, my Son is doing better, transferred to rehabilitation and therapy, Thank you,
There are some Cool old tractors at this auction, love those tractors and implements, Stay safe, God Bless
That's so good to hear! God bless!
Nice purchase Alan
Auction video and a oompa band , great combination.
Nice 489... good price.... 1500.. I need one of those and a 348 baler with a thrower
Like the set up! Farmed with my Bro-in-law, he 2 oliver 770 diesels & an 880 gas, loved the 770's
The big Moco your buddy bought will be a good machine, their built like a tank! I have a 946 Moco and it has been great!
One gearbox is a problem child, the one that drives the discs. JD subbed out that box for a different one, they might have learned something. Otherwise a great machine!
@@MorganOtt-ne1qj over 6000 acres and I have only rebuilt it once and I have had it since it was 3nyears old, my other one I have never replaced anything in that gearbox but I figure I will some time, I have rebuilt the one on my 930 once also!
I'm just going from experience, and if you haven't had to swap a gearbox I really appreciate that! Keep it rolling and slaying hay! 👍👍, My friend;
@@MorganOtt-ne1qj they have been good to me! I think their built like a tank! 2pt hook-up, 1000 pto, flails, I run 160hp on them, I have changed tons of knives, turtles, and shear hubs and 2 cast cutter bar housings and a few belts but we put acres through them each year!
They are definitely well built units! In my experience, the gearbox that drives the cutter can fail, and JD subbed a totally different one in its place. 946 model, my boss went up to a 450C 2 year's ago. But I really liked the older unit!
Thanks for taking us with!
A lot of good buys. You did real good on your 489. That would bring twice that here in the hills of NY.
Awesome video .Congrats on your purchase
Nice job and God bless y'all a long time with the machine
Auctions are always fun! My Dad rarely missed one, and sometimes he bought some interesting things. Like a bucket of washers and used cotton picker spindles. We NEVER PLANTED COTTON! I finally sent them to scrap, with both a grin and a tear in my eye.
Good prices
Looks like a good purchase. Always good to have two of something. We have a John deere 1360 like the one you showed. It has been a great machine. We also have a New idea 279 cutditioner, which grandpa bought for down hay. It sucks up anything laying down, the thicker the hay the better it does.
What did you get
Very nice old equipment I love it.
Nice video, always like to see the auctions and prices of what they sold for.
Looks like Jessica had fun at Gopher Dairy Camp.
Hey Allen,,thanks for the video. Really like that you post the sale price.
Good deal on the haybinde
You guys have some nice stuff and pretty great prices
That little kabota was a steal
I think you did get a good deal on the 489 they last for ever. keep on the grease and don't turn to sharp and you will be fine . but i think you know that .
Like to see you in a 5240 case turbo or a nice 50-55 series deere next 😊❤
Congratulation on your 489 it's hard to beat them. I had 3 of them back when I still farmed. Just a little thought for you check the tongue on it where the drive shaft pivots there is a pin on top and one under the shaft I had one come loose and the tongue pulled apart what a mess.
I'll check them, we've never had that happen. Thanks
Great job, Jessica! Showmanship is a class that the fattest checkbook can't buy! Stay at it, young lady, you have talent, and are willing to learn. Maybe one day you can hit the shavings at WDE! 🤞👍
Great job Jessica!
Great content! Take care...
Time to get the boys their own tractor to learn repair and upkeep on....develop their mechanical skills.
They have plenty of stuff to tinker on 😊
Id say that New Holland makes good farming equipment, they do the job, it looks my land renters came the other day and sprayed my field, I've been to the Bobcat plant in Gwinner ND, my brother has a Bobcat skid steer, I can't remember what model his is
Whenever I start to fell old, I drive a tractor with those Firestone 45deg tires that case had on, makes me fell like I am 30yr old again, and can pull a mountain..
Looked like some good deals
skid steers bring big money
I LIKE WHEN YOU SHOW PRICE AFTER VEIWING
I started cutting hay with a 489 was a good machine then we upgraded to a hydroswing 499 12' new Holland until we quit milking cows that was a nice mower also. Nowadays everyone who makes a lot of hay seems to run disc cutters.
Thats Amazing.. If you rocked up to that auction with 10,000 in your pocket you could easily walk away with a tractor, a skidsteer, trailer and some implements.. I mean if you wanted to start a small farm or somthing like selling a few bales and you were ok with getting your hands dirty.. This would be the way to go.. Where im from, you wouldnt get a second hand tractor alone for under 8 grand..
Do you know of any bargain hunter buyers who don't necessarily need the equipment but buy it anyway, do minor repairs or cosmetic work, store it and bring it back for the next sale and make a worthwhile profit?
None I know of,but I'm sure there are some.
Man the deere 333d was a good buy whoever won that bid
I cut a lot of hay with the 489 a great mower until the disc came along, I actually still have a 489 that I cut about 5 acres a year that I don’t dare bring the 209 in there
Wow some of those went cheaper then scrap.
surprising how wagons sold for nearly as much as running tractors.
Thank you, Auction. (Digger)
Alan I don't know where you caught it or not but that little Kubota looked like it had a set of weights off of a Farmall b on it
Yeah, I saw that
i would of bought that 489.
Curious what tractor Justin will be drivjng on the haybine when you mow with him?
To start out, he'll probably be using the 820JD, but he's working on getting an Allis chalmers wd, so he's hoping to use that.
I'm curious, is there much difference between the New Holland 489 vs the 488 haybine other than appearance? Is one better than the other, I think they are both the same cutting width.
I don't know much about the 488, but I think the wobble box is different
It seems another of the prices were pretty cheap
❤😊 HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT DAY IS THE NEXT AUCTION UP THERE ????❤😊
September 28th.
@@trinitydairy hope to see you then !!!
I bought a Ford TW 30 at an auction about a month ago
Is it a good one any problems
What a horse! I ran a TW20 as our big tractor until hydraulic valves became a problem. But that thing would PULL! Good luck with your TW30! Real beasts! 👍👍
Those auctions many times you can find diamonds in the rough. I bet you can find some things for you but smaller things for you kids to learn on. Gets me to thinking if you still had that little Ford 8n or whatever model that is?
Yeah, it's in the shed, something came apart in the clutch so it won't move on its own, I've been waiting for a dry spell to get it split and put a clutch in it.
The price of Old equipment is ridiculous. There was a lot of junk that needed to be melted down
Awful cheap id say the rubber on that A nearly cost 850
Never reports on the trucks at the sale 🤦♂️
I'll try to get some next time.
Your sons are getting old enough now, so you can start expanding if they plan to farm.
Typical price for the Fords
Well done hope it kick ass best of luck
