So not to be bearer of bad news but I’m in the process of turning my car into track circuit car & the welds on my ETS kit are really bad, no penetration root on my downpipe, I just started searching & your vid popped up! I need to check my uppipe once I finish fab but I’m gonna be emailing ETS about this!
Wow. They have to know enough to understand why backpurging is important. With the turbo out that far from the block it needs all the support it can get. Curious if all the kits are built the same.
Why did you go ets when there are options like bnm where you can get a 321 rotated kit without turbo for 2,000. 321 handles heat way better than what they probably use. Plus youd be supporting a smaller business.
Funny you say that, that’s exactly what I did 😂. Went bnm rotated $1750 it did take quiet some time but it’s here n looks amazing welds flawless 👌. The 321 is just the up pipe in that kit I believe as well.
Appreciate the recommendation, bro. Although I'm on the Evo platform, I have a friend who's been in search of a quality twin gated FA manifold. Ever since FullRace was forced to stop fabricating parts, I've been picky about who I buy hot parts from. BNM has me intrigued, few people out here fabricating with 321 SS on turbo cars.
@@TMTFish unfortunately haven’t fitted anything yet, waiting on motor than sending car out to be built n tuned.. was concerned about custom kit not fitting from beginning and me having to wait so long to test but I pulled the trigger.. he’s done kits for AMS manis before so I hope not to have a issue on install day. Talked to another AMS kit customer of his on ig an they said fitment was “ok not the best” sits lower than the ETS in the pics he posted. I won’t find out till spring time probably 🤷♂️ Last thing I’ll say it the kit it self looks perfect, beautiful welds thick flanges back purged appropriately, no complaints with craftsmanship.
@@DanielKellert I got one from FastWRX, it's way better than sticky mounts but the only thing is heat blowing through that vent onto th back of the AP will make it freeze between screens sometimes.
So I have used the code a few times and a few bucks is a few bucks 😊. I wish I had pictures but I bought the dialed mount, raised on on a/c vent. It and my access port was stolen 3 days later 😢. It was on back order for about 6 weeks. I liked it. It’s worth it 😁
Everything else I got from them has been 100% on fitment & quality. This rotated kit must have just skipped the quality check room on the way out the door 😅

Agreed. If it looks like bull, smells like bull, it's probably bull. Shame on ETS for not owning up to this. Guess I'll build my own rotated kit.
ETS needs to lay off the crack pipe for a bit… they could’ve come up with a better excuse for terrible welds than that 😬
Coating would not cause it to fail for sure
I think if ETS at least offered to send you a new one free of charge, and they ate that old one would have went a lot further.

304 SS is very strong and will last longer than 321💯
Don’t have a tig welder so was looking for ets replacements but only could find the whole kit anyone have any thing to say about this ?
The MachV mount is pretty good especially since the vent is in front...and not behind the Accessport. It also looks better since it's not 3D printed.

I had the same issue with my up pipe. I had to take that out and do the repair myself. I figured it was from vibration.
Mine definitely didn’t break from excessive vibration 😅 absolutely 0 penetration on the inner portion of the flange weld.
