Really like your videos. How do you have time for these projects ? Always wanted an sti 2011-2014 GR chassis. I have a GD chassis Saabaru Aero and a 17 VA chassis, but I'd trade both for a clean GR chassis. BTW, that engine bay is dope!!
A FPR is pretty much a relief valve. Radium did a real good job making the multiport FPR. It like a Y fitting and Regular all in one. Definitely cleans up the engine bay with not needing return lines from the rails themselves.
With silicone hoses and worm gear clamps, you really have to check how tight those clamps are since it's way more stiff than a standard rubber hose. The worm gear clamp doesn't contract with the hose like a spring clamp either. When I first built my EJ207, I was leaking coolant from the turbo coolant feed hose (silicone), and it would only happen when cold or after it's cooled down after driving. After a bunch of heat cycles and retightening the clamp, the leak never came back until I took it to freezing weather (11 degrees), but it was minor.
Hey dude love watching you ripping on the STI! I've done a TON of work with sealing the crappy worm gear clamps... Tip: Try rotating the hose clamp to a difference spot, and usually you want to slide it back up against the bump/lip (in your case toward the firewall). Also, if you have room, try adding a second hose clamp and have the screws opposite directions/sides from each other to spread the clamp pressure. I'm cheap so I've found these techniques can help. GL!
I’ve already tried putting the clamp right against the lip & it still had super tiny leak over time. Haven’t tried the double clamp yet though, so there’s still hope there 😅 Thank you! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I like those Cobb hoses and I need to change mine because they are the soft oem hoses and they look like they collapse even though they don’t actually do it. It could be that the hot coolant expands the little spot where it might be leaking from. Yes you are correct some of us down south are rotated.
Maybe a hairline crack in the rad somewhere that leaks when it heats up and expands the crack. Also some stickers would be dope to have on the merch store.
That’s possible! Gonna double clamp it & see what happens 🤷🏻 I’m getting some decals made this week! Hoping to have them on the site soon. Will have a couple different sizes too :)
I just did the same thing with the fg2 fuel system. I had it dead heading at the end of the fuel rail. I switch it and put the regulator at the end of the fuel rail and returning at the regulator hopefully that works better.
Stock 8th Gen fuel system is a returnless system. Eventually I want to add a return line to the system & put a vacuum referenced regulator on the return side of my 8th gen too!
ETS is a good brand, but the kit they sent me is a frickin 🍋….. not a single piece of my kit is fully ETS anymore. Might as well call it custom at this point 😅
Hi Daniel..i love watching your channel, your giving lots of information..i have some questions i would like to discussed with you so do you have a phone number so people can call you direct..i have a 17 sti and i am also in Canada...thanks

The Reg should be after rails
Correct 👍🏼 like I said in the video, I don’t understand how this radium kit works 😅
koyo?
I should’ve bought a koyo from the beginning 🤦🏻
Talking shit on my rotated set up? 😂
