Perfect video - had to install the switch having bought a replacement and didn't know where to start. Followed your video step by step and all completed in under 5 minutes.... really helpful.
Looks so easy! My car failed its MOT yesterday because the red hazard button had (unknown to me) started to stick. Looks like I might actually be able to change this myself rather than take it to a garage and likely get ripped off for what is an easy & quick fix! Thank you.
Watched your video a couple of times and decided to replace mine and was surprised how easy it was many thanks I've now got a working properly hazard switch
Thanks for this. Excellent video, managed to replace the switch and hazards now working. Only other comment I would add is that I disconnected the +ve terminal on the battery first to avoid any possible issues. Thanks again!
Just an update to my previous comment. My left turn indicator was also not working (it had stopped working after the hazard switch had stopped working). The stalk would press down and work in the half press position but, when pressed all the way down to engage it, the indicator would stop working. No idea why but after I replaced the hazard switch, the left indicator started working normally again. Cant explain why but was able to cancel my garage appointment to investigate the indicator problem.
Thank you for this and it didn't take long. I managed to get a piece of string behind the knob to pull it off. My Hazard button looked as if nothing was wrong with it, no crack or nothing and i don't think it was ever used. Working now though 👍
Thank you. Some people in the comments say you can remove the button without opening the panel, is that true? Considering you have to press the little tabs to release the button, is it possible to remove the hazard button without opening the panel?
No problem! I got it from the main dealer but you can get it online from somewhere like ebay or amazon I will add a link hope it helps! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265419702707?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338343596&toolid=10001&customid=eb%3Ag%3Avms%3Aeb%3Ap%3A265419702707%3BCj0KCQiAip-PBhDVARIsAPP2xc2aEocuUnp4E3akPIFwZWFpdu_1ZBTIkgj8iC2TCyy6ZMnNVrhxUO8aAkaUEALw_wcB&gclid=Cj0KCQiAip-PBhDVARIsAPP2xc2aEocuUnp4E3akPIFwZWFpdu_1ZBTIkgj8iC2TCyy6ZMnNVrhxUO8aAkaUEALw_wcB
I took this problem to the garage thinking it was a wiring issue. They changed the hazard light, and said it took them 1.5 hours and charged £150. Watching this video, I think I could have done this myself. Then again, I guess I wouldn't have known if it was the hazard switch without buying a fresh switch first. Still feels like a scam.
Are the hazard bittons a regular fault. My daughters hazard warning lights aren't working. I thought it might be a fuse, but it doesn't seem to be. So I'm thinking after, seeing your video the switch may be at fault.
I also notice on your video, as in my case too, that the light of the button is not working anymore after the change. It is the same for the AC button, even both are functional, the light is not working, any idea why?
I got a new hazard switch to replace my old burn and cracked one. I replaced it and it doesn't switch on for some reason. It lights up when my headlights are on but doesn't turn on the hazards when I press it.
Good video but you didn't need to take that panel off. Just prize the switch out straight from the panel & you can disconnect the connector from the front.

Brilliant! Thanks so much for this step by step guide. A bit fiddly and took me about 30 minutes but it worked & saved me going to the garage!

Yeah sometimes taking it to the garage can be expensive, I guess the main thing is that it works now!!
Legend. Made it so easy. 20 quid for the button on ebay and 5 minuite fitting it saved my 30 quid 👍
I'm glad you found the video helpful!! 👍

So I'm thinking after, seeing your video the switch may be at fault.
Yeah they are quite a common thing to stop working on these cars unfortunately
Hope this helps !
@supercar.central thank you. I actually got it working again.. for now 🤣🤞
No problem and that's great!!
Thanks , dit it in 5 min literally 😮

You save my life ! Thx

No problem!
Would you please give me a hand for my Citroen C1 car indicator stalk and this same light shown in video not working.
is this a common issue? Even the new button I ordered arrived malfunctional
Yeah it seems to be quite a common issue unfortunately! Hope you managed to get a replacement one that works !
Merci beaucoup button acheter sur amazon changé en 10min 🙏🙏✨👍
Very helpful, thanks!
No problem!
Fantastic, thanks so much!
Thanks, no problem!
I have weird issue, when ignition is on hazard lights not working but indicators are fine. When ignition is off hazard lights works fine.
Must try this, my dacia hazard lights are flashing constantly
Thanks a lot !!
No problem! 😊
Thank you
Good video but you didn't need to take that panel off. Just prize the switch out straight from the panel & you can disconnect the connector from the front.
But you have the press the little tabs in to release the switch? So how can you do it without removing the panel?
Mine is all cracked but don’t think it’s worth bothering to replace
As long as it still works that's the main thing!!
But it's not proper if it's not cracked. lol
