Thank you. Some people in the comments say you can remove the button without opening the panel, is that true? Considering you have to press the little tabs to release the button, is it possible to remove the hazard button without opening the panel?

I also notice on your video, as in my case too, that the light of the button is not working anymore after the change. It is the same for the AC button, even both are functional, the light is not working, any idea why?

I wonder why those things broke? Mine also has some lines, but didn't change it so far.

My question is, as you popped the wires through the front anyway, can you go in from the hazard button instead of opening up the facia? I'd rather fuck up the button I'm throwing out to get in than scratch and lose clips for going in through the whole front!!

It looked like it, although I've been trying to pull the little back bit from the original switch through the back way (under that bit of the dashboard) without much success lol. 😅 I'd love to try it this way!

Perfect, just done this job in 10 minutes flat. Exact same fault. Used the pry tools from my electronic kit for opening phones, tablets, etc. as although I have panel tools like you used but it was clearly a bit too big ideally. Just like you the switch started working as soon as I got the dash section free but I changed it for new anyway and the front cover has probably been cracked for 10yrs+.
For those who may need this in the future I looked on ebay and there was only 2 offering the outer red cover for about £15 and no complete switches. Found a pattern one advertised, but out of stock, at £40. So bit the bullet and fortunately my Toyota dealer is only about 8 miles away (and opposite the Triumph bike dealer I also needed). Expected as usual to order and wait until next week but they actually had a switch in stock and I was pleasantly surprised at the price (as at 02/10/20) at only £27.83 so actually far better than the chancing a second hand ebay item.
Obviously the 107/C1/Aygo are basically the same car and my wife loves her 2007 Aygo she's had from new-. Routine parts aside (tyres, brakes, exhaust - DIY) it has only had the drivers airbag unit renewed under original warranty, the rear windows hinge bonding (5 door) fail about 2yrs before it became a warranty recall (a couple of years back) and this switch .... in 13yrs. Thanks.

For goodness sake NEVER use your car key as a lever tool! While the official key, for these models is not the most expensive out there, it's still rather costly. Compared with using a dirty cheap screwdriver or similar!
When we escalate this to more expensive cars, with a higher price tag! Well then it's simply stupid!
I've seen enough keys splitting inside the ignition barrel. It goes without saying, escalating the case (cost) way more than just buying a new key! Curiously ALL of them were from owners who just "happened" to use them as a lever, one time or another! Curious isn't it? ;-)
BTW How the h... can you break a switch?!! I guess, just like above, "appropriate" use is a strange word! Considering that it switch On & Off with a light pressure of a finger tip! Surely there's no need to hammer it down until it breaks. LOL 😂

Normally I wouldn't use a key. But the 30m walk to the shed was more that I could be bothered at the time. And them buttons ate renowned to break. They gradually crack over time then they stop working. Dont ask me how. But itvwas broke when I got the car so I wasn't responsible for that one haha
