l watched this video a couple of times and then attacked my faulty stalk. Very informative video helped me a lot . Thank you.
Just did it. Excellent guide. At the step to remove the stalk while pliers opening clip, you additionally at the same time have to lift the plastc tap juat behind the pliers. This is a plastic tab that locks into a hole on the shart to prevent stalk removal and rotation. Your brute force techniqe didnt work for me so i looked at the new stalk to see this tab.
you saved me so much hassle instead of going to a garage thank you!!!
Brilliantly described and brilliant camerawork - every detail perfectly seen.
Thank you!
hellau, maybe you can tell me where the summer/speaker for the warnsignals are. Like when i forgot the light to turnoff when i leave the car or didnt fasten my seatbelt.
It must be near the cockpit. Or maybe we already can see it in the video?. Can you help me with this issue :D?
Hi there.
I have just completed this, and I thought all was well but discovered the speedometer now doesn't work. Any idea what could have happened?
Thanks
best tutrioal on youtube. step by step nice !!
Thanks for this! The new stalk you fitted only has a rear fog light switch, whereas the original had front and rear fog lights. I've been trying to find an example of this working for ages because it's hard to find an inexpensive replacement for the models with front and rear fog lights.
Good tutorial, comprehensive video, covering everything. You'll require, TX30 Star bit, 10mm, 8mm ?, 19mm sockets plus a pozie drive and plenty of patience which I tend to lack, I found the arm on Temu for £15.24 a couple of tools and I've done the job myself for under thirty quid. This would have cost me hundreds at the main dealer. REMEMBER TO DISCONNECT THE CAR BATTERY THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT, AS THE AIRBAG IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE, AND WILL WAKE YOU UP, if it goes off! THANKS FOR LOADING!😊
This has just happened to my daughters Aygo. A great bit of film and reassuring to know that I can do this without resorting to the huge expense of a mechanic! Thank you!
Thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful and I hope you got it resolved!
Hey supercar central, thanks for the in depth video. However I have a question about the nut on the steering wheel. (15:06) Before you tightened it you mentioned 15mm (idk if I misheard) I was wondering what that meant?
Thanks in advance
Excellent video, had my doubts I could do but followed video step by step. my Aygo is the Fire version with front fog lights. got replacement stalk from Neo Brothers a little more than others but they only had rear fog switch. Thanks for a clear to follow video.
You don't need to replace it just take the back off the switch split the switch in half & clean it with scourer pad it's because the grease goes old & forms a dark layer on the tracks preventing connection
Its the wrong Indicator Light Stalk Switch..they are not the same ..!
Front fog light turn switch is missing
Same problem here cant find the right one....🧐
Many thanks for this video, I found your instructions clear and concise. I would not have attempted this job without them. Thanks.
No problem! And thanks, I'm glad it gave you the confidence to attempt it yourself!
super mais c est réparable si on veut encore economiser en ouvrant la manette et nettoyer les contacts.merco.pour la video 👍

Had the same issue on my Citroën C1, and used your video to replace it.
I couldn't have done it without your video. All very clear and not missing any steps. Thank you so much.
Thanks, I'm glad it was helpful!
I noticed that the indicator stick you used to replace was missing another o light symbol is that okay as I am in the same position
Thanks from Holland, your video guide me through it !
Thanks so much. You explained it all calmly and well from start to finish and saved me £250. You're a genius ❤

My car cost £1250 approx. In the garage ask me £250 for do this job... Thanks to your videos I just spent £10 in the spare part. Thank you so much for your help. The video is perfect!
Thank you for the comment 🙂

A very nice video, thanks! 🤗 also your camera man (or woman) has done a fantastic job 👍🏻 Greetings from Switzerland 🌅🍀
Thank you ! I'll pass on the compliment! 👍😁
Clear video thanks 👌
You're welcome!!
Thanks buddy this was a very good video, easy to follow, informative. And saved me a heap of money.
Thanks ! No problem I'm glad it was easy to follow and helpful !!
I used this video to get the indicator stalk off and to reinstall everything after I cleaned up and re greased the internal slider contacts. Its a common fault that occurs on C1, 107 and aygo.
Great closeups. Many thanks
I'm glad it was useful and good job on getting it working!
Just changed mine thanks to your guide. Excellent step by step, so easy to follow. Thanks for your help and for saving me some money!
That's great! I'm glad it's been useful! 🙂
Great camera work. To echo someone else, best close up video tutorial have seen to date; no background noise, no distractions. I fitted the left stalk on our saloon Citroen (2010) just yesterday, and it was useful to refer to the stages. Best useful fact :-) was to press a tab to remove the plug of wires from the bottom of stalk before disconnecting . Everything went OK, and new Indicator Stalk is fitted and IT WORKS, WAS AMAZED AT THE INDICATOR BRIGHTNESS, IT WAS Ab Fab. well after 14 years it had gone down to a weak blip. Thank you again, Supercar Central, your video was a great gift
Your clear instructions helped me to change the indicator stalk on my wife's Aygo in less than an hour. The only bit I struggled with was keeping the spring clip compressed while removing the old stalk from the steering column: in the end, I used a small pair of locking pliers to compress the clip, allowing me to use both hands on the stalk body. Many thanks for an excellent video!
I'm glad it was helpful! Good idea to use the locking pliers!
Saved me 400£ boss video this
Excellent video, thanks. The hardest parts were finding the Torx airbag screws (my 107 has holes in the steering wheel rather than an access plate and, of course, they don't line up with the screws, and getting the black lower plastic surround back in place. The little Posidriv screw that hold s it in is an absolute B to get started - there's no lead in and it tries everyway not to engage.
Took me about an hour with only minimal cursing.
Great video - very clearly described and well filmed despite the cramped space. Trickiest step was keeping the metal clamp pinched while removing the old stalk... make sure you have a selection of pliers to hand and an extra pair of hands if you can both fit in the car!
Top job, keep up the great tutorials 🔧👌🏻
Thank you! There are more tutorials on the way!
Spot on , saved a lot following your video. Great explanation and easy to follow your step by step run through. Cheers fella ❤
Well done, for me the best disassembly instruction, thanks!
No problem, I'm glad it was helpful!
Hello there, I watched your vid, thought sod it, bought the stork. I had it fitted within 30 minutes thanks to you!!!!! Brilliant, you saved me £££££££££££££
This is a common problem and the thing is the indicator stalk is easy to refurbish yourself. You can find a video on TH-cam on how to do it.
Thanks lot. Well explained. 👍👍👍👍
No problem! and thanks!
Thank you very clear instructions done the job
Tack så mycket från Sweden 😇😇
Thank you mate
No problem!!
question, my airbag warning light is flashing and the horn doesn't work after I did this...
Everything is connected as it was before.....
If they both stopped working after you did this then it's likely either something isn't connected properly/ became disconnected make sure all the wires from the clock spring are connected properly even the ones you didn't disconnect it may have come loose and check to make sure none of the wires have been caught on anything otherwise it may be the actual clock spring is broken
Brilliant guide. Out of 4 on TH-cam this is definitely the best. I kept my phone next to me followed the video step by step & job done with no problems, thank you for taking the time to post this.
£19 on amazon for new indicator arm and £7.50 for some 11" long nose bent pliers to get the clip off.
😁👍
This isn’t just the best video I have found explaining how to do this job. This is the best car repair video I have ever seen. New subscriber.
One question: On my little device I couldn’t tell if you were saying 15Nm or 50Nm. Could you please clarify for me? Thanks
@@nowthenad3286 I got 50 Nm

No problem! And thanks I'm glad it was helpful!
