*guys it's going crazy in that house-*
Not gonna lie I would be more worried if all that didn't happen lol
Indeed 😂🤣
Crazy world
Is that not normal?
@@tuvelat7302 lol it's normal for them i guess
but i've observed an increase in such interesting practices in their house recently
also it's not normal for most people i suppose
I guess they don't know what to do with themselves now most the reptiles are gone.
My husband said "that's a lot of money for bugs". My daughter (6, she and I have been watching forever) said " they aren't bugs. They're isopods."
She’s clearly the smarter one out of the two
(hitches pants up) Back in mah day, we called dem "rollie pollies".

Lol! I say that to my friends, parents, and sister A L L T H E T I M E
I hope that carries on to adulthood, your daughter is a smart girl!
The thing I love most about Ed and Emily is they get so genuinely excited about what I’d call woodlice. And so I get excited about them too. It’s infectious. :) how did you guys meet? A mutual love of animals? Or maybe Pokémon?
I saw an old video on their channel once and apparently Emily was an employee at Petsmart working as the "bird expert" and started dating a customer (Ed).
Edit: I think it was the one on Emily's background, "how I started working as a reptile educator," the thumbnail has Emily photoshopped into a cave
Birbs. It was birbs. Also Cheyenne was their ring bearer, v cute.
I call woodlice rolly pollys
I'm from Spain and since I was a child I've called this bugs "bicho bola" (which would translate in...ball bug?) it was really interesting to learn more about them!
i used to call them rollie pollies, because they rolled up into a ball and rolled around,
@@bluie. honestly just 2 translations of the same name. Love that
Haha here in Portugal we call them "bicho da conta" I have no idea why the name is like this but yeah bicho bola makes more sense
@@bluie. yep, rollie pollies in the USA. I couldn't imagine ever spending money on them though. Lol. They're everywhere
Nunca e escuchado de la palabra bicho(soy mexicana) pero que genial :))
Emily, we really need to talk about the Pokémon cult that keeps having meetings in your kitchen.

They may not all be exciting because you have seen most of those colors, but they certainly are for me- they’re a lot different from the common Rolly-Pollies I see in my mom’s flower garden 😅
Because there’s no more snakes in the house they are slowly filling it up again with isopods 😂

Ed’s totally addicted to isopods. They’re like children to him.
Ed is getting broody. Maybe Emily should put some eggs under him, so he can hatch them out?
When I was younger (9) I went in my backyard and found 4 pregnant isopods. I remember being worried for the babies and didn't want the mums to get killed so I made them an enclosure, put in fresh greens and misted them everyday. Since isopods are hard to view in a zoo type setting, but there's so much greatness to view, you should set up an isopod exhibit in your zoo that includes some sort of "special magnifying" viewing goggles that kids can look through to see "inside the world of isopods" but what the kids will really be seeing is a pre-recorded video that shows lots of zoomed in, interesting isopod activity. That could be a really cool exhibit.
I think that woukd be a great idea to have somthing on a tank to help you see them good shout. Pkus you cna get some bigger one's at 3cms too what will be easier to see
Thats so good!

Hehe
ASK HIM! ASK HIM!
My dad is a mailman in California I just asked him & he said because nothing USPS does makes any sense and they are absolutely ridiculous 🙄😁
It was most likely shiped through FedEx, Memphis Tennessee has the largest FedEx hub. Because of their "spoke and wheel" system, packages go to the hubs first before being sorted out and sent back out to the intended destination.
Most of time it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense but that's how they do it.
Glad to see these all in one run through. I feel confident that they are actually very different from the rollie pollies that I grew up playing with. These don’t seem to be able to make that tight ball shape. Gosh I loved those little rollies as a kid. They were so gentle and adorable. Glad I accidentally kept a bunch of leaf litter in my little habitats for them with my caterpillars. Back then there was no internet. I just grabbed the stuff I always found them in because they clearly loved it.
Because I was not sure what the insects needed, I would only keep a habitat for a couple weeks before putting them all back where I found them. Always making a new habitat each time I found new critters (frogs, crawfish, snakes, insects, lizards, and newts).
I have always been very "meh" about isopods, but this has made me like them. I think the black & white Porcellio Flavomarginatus, and the orange Armadillidium Werneri were my favourites. Kind cute.
I like the last two too.
Oh my god. I love the isopod that lept out of the container 'saying' "For Narnia, FOR ASLAN" XD
