Also, American company, so a release on day X is usually late in the evenening for most of the world, ergo it being X+1 being the actual proper global release date.
@@Comatose1231 Server crashes and disconnects are standard even on league launches of Poe1. Its not a huge issue but happens. Given how much interest poe2 already generated and that ggg said its overwhelmed by the amount of players that bought EA I would be hugely suprised if the launch went smooth. I wish them luck though, game looks sick.
It might end up being better than you think, they’ve said they have capacity for 1 million players, with contingencies in place with their server provider if they manage to exceed that number. I’m sure it won’t be smooth, but I doubt it’ll be unplayable or anything like that on the 6th.
I really enjoyed the tutorials you put up for Poe1 specially the 3 hour long end game guide video, it helped me a lot. Keep the unga bunga content coming.
I've been thinking of starting an alt and making PoE guides for a while. Out of all the guides I have seen, I honestly think yours is the best for new players. Most vets take for granted how convoluted PoE can be for new players. I also think you have the best pacing for you guides too.
Something I would like is content to show new players so that have a general idea of how to build their passive tree and upgrade their gear. It would be great to ease more people into the game.
that talent tree is ridiculously overwhelming. For someone who despises even the hint of the idea of game/build guides to any degree, it is extremely off putting. Still bought the $160 pack tho lol
@MrRhoidRage my advice to you is to just try and narrow down what you want to build on the tree. Try and focus on one or two things you want to do well instead of trying to grab a bit of everything. Also, make sure you grab some defensive nodes too. In PoE 1, it is usually a ratio of one defensive node for every 2 offensive nodes, but that might change since life is no longer on the tree.
me personally, I want to see a content creater that explains builds well with good editing such as yourself to play and explain the marksman with the ascendency that gives him extra gems. it seems like the most complicated one to get the most out of.
Hey Woolie, can you tell us a bit more about how you balance your gaming with wife/baby and how much has your life changed after the baby came? I ask because I am also married and just with the wife alone, it's been harder and harder to find time to play.
definitely less "free time" but I don't mind because it's all spending time with my family. it's a bit frustrating at first but you'll adapt your mindset quickly once (if) you have a child
Honestly, ive played poe 1 since ritual league so what 3-4 years i think at this point and as much as i like the game, i just could never play it past getting to tier 16s just barely and maybe doing a kill of sirus and than id stop for the league because it was just to much for me at that point. luckily it seems like poe 2 will be a bit easier and i dont have to worry about sockets and all that stuff so im not stuck with a 4 link build until i get 50 div
I did a play through of poe1 once and got to the endgame content. I had no idea what I was doing and nothing was explained to me in game. I might try poe2, but if the game relies on external sources to teach new players then I might pass. I have no desire to watch Zizarin's multi hour guide / university lectures on how to play this game
Action RPG =/= aRPG. These have always been two different genres. Not sure when exactly everyone started blending them, but; Action RPG is a 3rd Person game with action combat. aRPGs are Isometric and tend to be click-to-move (tho, like PoE2, many are now adding WASD, so as to bring in the Console Kids.)
my main issue with these games is the combat being so dull hopefully this will be the game that evolves on that press one or two buttons delete room repeat type gameplay
Well the thing about MMO’s is the multiplayer social aspect of the game, being able to show off you gear and levels like a bodmon, the game looks good but I’m still trying to find out what purpose there would be to playing the game, “yay I’m high level with good gear smashing endless NPC’s” now what ?
never tried poe1 because i cbf with the spreadsheet thing, and i played a few other arpg which were kinda shit (diablo 3 etc) poe2 sounds like its going to be WAY better than most arpg we've seen
I stopped calling soulsborne combat ARPG a long time ago. I heard the phrase momentum-based combat and that made the most sense because your actions have weight. you have to commit to them and you can't back out just because you realize it was a mistake
nah its just ragebaiting animation locking so you can call your game ThE hArDeSt GaMe Of'eM aLl, slap on the worst kind of storytelling and wonky hitboxes and you got yourself a souls-like, but in today's day and age (Activision/Blizzard, EA, Ubisoft, access journalism) a 6.5/10 game is a 10/10 goty...
@@Caldaron "animation locking" as if the whole of fighting games doesnt utilize frame data or hitboxes. souls franchise has some instances of slop in those regards but for a third person action game, it does extremely well.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to playing it, but treating the (larger) skill tree as kind of an afterthought is... a little odd, considering it's still going to be one of those things new players are slapped in the face with immediately. Also, the whole "if you pick up an upgrade, you can immediately equip it" is going to fall off quickly if there are str/dex/int attributes on gear, just like in PoE 1. This might be less of a problem if you can switch over travel nodes to different attrs either for free or with gold/some kind of common currency (without backtracking and re-allocating), but even if that's the case, you're now back to having to manage attr requirements using both your gear and the tree. So the changes to gem sockets are awesome, but let's not pretend all gear swaps are now trivial.
half-price attribute respeccing at a vendor when you find an upgrade is significantly easier than the hoops POE1 has you jump through, i don't know why you're trying to trivialize such a vast improvement
I totally don't already own poe2 I am totally not excited for Friday I totally did not cancel all my plans for the next year and I am totally not going to loose any sleep over this game Send help

Naa, Diablo has a pretty strong and loyal fanbase that dates very far back, and other games have different aspects that pull them in for example path of exiles lacks multiplayer PVE content, many players choose to play more multiplayer friendly games to be able to to show off their power and gear, some players prefer a game with and option of playing PVP.. path of exiles seems like a decent game riding a huge hype train, but just seems like another pointless mob smashing/levelling game with a mediocre leaderboard system. I’ll play it because its only a 30$ early access game and free to play on full release, but the endgame seems pretty weak
