We lived in Nagoya for around 6 years. The Japanese do 'packaged' meals / rations quite well because they use them for all emergency (earthquake, volcano etc.) preparedness. There are whole sections in department stores dedicated to free dried / long life etc. meals. We've still got several in the pantry which have a use by date of 2025. And it's all very tasty!
The dog was beautiful, I hope she had a good time:) really enjoy the range of your videos, from camping to shelter building to ration reviews, really enjoy it and very informative:)

you are quite a young man, i had my birthday camp out, me and my dog beau. things went well and was out two days. your teachings has enabled me to camp safely and with confidence. this is another well thought out and packed with more useful information. i enjoy your videos very much and will watch carefully all your videos both old and new. thank you for hours of training and entertaining as well you are a blessing

That looked yummy, having visited Japan last year ( a life long wish) I found all the food to be amazingly good so I am not surprised to see the mre being nice as well. The place was epic and I long to return as soon as I can. The kit kats are sold there in all sorts of weird flavours ( gave up counting after 20+) but crab flavour kit kats looked most interesting to me , I couldn't see a "normal" flavour mind! ATB Rob

The Japan Centre in London, and good Asian supermarkets do those kit-kats. I like the Green Tea ones.

Ive seen the odd C Ration pop up on ebay and have been tempted but they are a bit pricey for what is most likely rotten haha, may have to leave that to MRESteve

Hi been enjoying your videos since i found you on your waveny river trip as thats my old stomping grounds.
I live in Okinawa now and one of my mates is a mechanic on the Japanese airbase here who gets me ration packs for my canoe trips around the island.
I think your pack is probably a commercial pack as the ones i get given are all in a plain package but the rice and curry packs inside look the same.
They certainly better than meals rejected by Ethiopians that the US military get here on the island. (

Good to see Millie is doing well. Probably doing even better after part of your lunch. 😆 It's hard to go wrong with curry in your MRE. I love the green tea Kit Kat, and I like wasabi but never had that one. The sake wine flavored one I had a couple months ago was awful, though. Great to see you out, Andy!
She's getting on a bit but still full of life. I thought id got a good varied selection of the Kit Kats but they turned out very similar
That ration was rather different but look pretty tasty. Kit kat candy was interesting as well got me to thinking about how many different flavors there could be around the world.

We don’t have curry where we live so I don’t know what it is. I know it’s a British thing . I am a native with half my genetics from Wales and Scotland. I’m a rare breed .

It looked good, the kit kat's are not something I've seen anywhere in the US We do have kit kat but I've only see the chocolate and white chocolate. Cute pup your puppy sitting.

Hey Andy, its been a while with the rat pack reviews but all is good buddy! Wow those Japanese ones are quite heavy on the pocket mate! for one meal I cant find cheaper than £25 which is a bit too much for something without even an accessory pack imo. Anyway thanks for the review, heads up, theres loads of UN rations that have just hit the online market here in the UK and they are cheap as!

Hey, I get them mostly from ebay, some are on amazon and the different country amazons have different rations sometimes, also some army surplus stores and shows sell them too

The face, looks A lot like my Jack Russel Terrier mix. It seems, the Japanese rations, are like the Chinese. Bare minimum. Rice and sauce, no extras. Interesting Kit Kats. WOW. Nicely done sir.
