Been loving the videos lately! Lots of info from the the engine shop to going over tuning. I think these videos really help seal the deal for people who are on the fence of going aftermarket tune. Keep it up homies
Man you guys did it again!!! These are the most informative vlogs! I have st.2 from whipple but this is exactly the process I will have to go through with you guys.. I really love to actually SEE THE PROCESS. It puts my mind at ease. Thank you guys so much.. Scott
I love that table top torque curve. That's badass. This is why I prefer the PD blowers over the centrifugals. The street manners are unmatched with the PD blowers with gobs of torque.
Man you have been killing it lately with the videos!!!! Just goes to show what a STOCK coyote can make with just the whipple blower and tune. Keep them coming please!
Great gains with only bigger throttle body, smaller pulley, BAP, and tune! Catless mid-pipe, longtube headers, bigger injectors, fuel pumps, and E85 tune would definitely wake this car up even more!
Why does the 2020 GT500 with a 5.2 and 12lbs of boost only make 700+ engine hp when the same engine from ford racing N/A makes 580hp. Seems like a low number to me.
I highly doubt that 12 psi number we've been seeing. At 12:1 compression that would easily put the GT500 in 900+ hp territory. I want to believe, but I can't.
@@timmartin4798 To be fair, I was (incorrectly?) assuming they would keep the 12:1 compression ratio. Ford will likely drop it for the GT500, but it still sounds promising.
The 5.2 "voodoo" motor has a cross plane crank and an 8k+ redline. I remember that back in the day, 30 odd years ago, that some group made a Pinto engine that did 800hp at an astonishing 14k RPM. Euro HP...small displacement motors that are perfectly balanced, wind up all the way to next Tuesday but have a torque curve that looks like your grandmom's rascal scooter. When SVT dropped a 2.6L compressor on top of the Voodoo, every single one of them blew up. After 2 years of delay, the apparent solution is to put a 90degree, balanced crank with a beefed up bottom end and a significantly reduced redline. That being said, KB made a 1.1k hp voodoo using this configuration but I think everyone here would go broke just trying to buy the engine let alone the whole car. I don't understand why SVT felt the need to cling to voodoo so desperately. If you've been in a cave, you may not know that a group will be putting out a 5.0GT based "Bullitt" Mustang that will have 2 flavors...779hp and 900hp. The GT500 is gonna get curb stomped by a Roush/Saleen type splinter mustang. Nice one, Ford. /golfclap
@@operationmindcrime4469 The Voodoo uses a flat plane crank, but we know what you meant. I own one and still agree that they're over hyped. If you think that modifying a coyote is expensive, try buying a custom set of cams or a billet crank for a voodoo. It's so expensive that it just doesn't happen.
Blower definitely got louder with the new pulley and throttle body. Does the Whipple stage 1 come with the open cold air intake standard? I'm seeing some people have it and some people have a closed airbox.
It's octane limited, which is one of the drawbacks of the 18. You add boost but you have to pull timing for a net change of zero in that area. This is compounded on a car with stock cats/exhaust.
@@PalmBeachDyno I have a 18 also I'm putting the same blower on right now I'm gonna have you guys tune it is there something to need to address to be able to feed it timing
The issue with the opg on coyotes is when you throw a blower on a car it puts extra stress on the front cover and in turn the opg which was designed for it. So if your putting a blower billet opg replacement is highly recommended especially on applications over 650whp
GhostlyGhille it’s actually harmonics and comes from banging limiter and is more of an issue for Gen 1/2 motors as the Gen 3 has a viscous damper that reduces harmonics and the violence that comes from banging said limiter. Yes, they make aftermarket OPG/CS and it probably wouldn’t hurt to do them but they aren’t as painfully crucial as they were on the prior iterations of the Coyote.
OK I want to know can you guys tune my 2011 whipple,2.3L Mustang, I have a L&m 66 throttle body, kooks, long tubes, id1000 and a boosta, pump, I will be letting Anthony ballard, do it my car idle, high, and when it's hot out side it wants to cut of when I slow down and surg, some .when it's cold out it runs a lot better , my tuner has tried everything even different trottle, body's still tha, same
can you guys tune a 2011 gt whit a whipple,2.3L and a twin, 71 whipple throttle body with long tube, Mustang I will be letting Anthony ballerd, tune it
Oh yeah whipple tune is awesome......if you like blowing motors up... I made a colossal mistake in trusting whipples tune. I will never touch another product from that company. Supercharger seized up on startup, was brand new in box. Install by a shop, I witnessed failure. After we got the new unit in, tune blew motor within a day. Had a local tuner break down the tune, the front cylinders were pulling fuel from rear, and killed the rings on pistons. Garbage tuning, garbage product from whipple.

Why didn't the stage 2 make any more torque? Especially since there was a pulley change.

Can you tune 2021 F150 with Wipplle?
Is the plastic IAT sensor from whipple a bit of a bear to get out? I’ve heard some like to break...
Ken, great vid as usual! What rear gears were in this car? Even for near 700whp the car just seemed to pull slow to the top end.
What's the price for the throttle body? As apposed to just going Stage 2?
How did Rob make it so long in this video without his red Solo cup.
#redcuprob
That's great power with just a blower
Where can you get a intake like that for the whipple?
Fr I’ve been looking for one like that
What kind of numbers would I see with the whipple stage 2 with their tune? I'm getting mine installed next week. Just curious. I have a 2019 GT pp1.
Love the video, music was not necessary!
Are the oil pump gears an issue for the 3rd gen coyote motors? How does your rev limiter and tuning help not break these gears?

Aren't these guys that modded their new stang afraid to lose warranty?
I’m sure someone who can belt out 10 grand or better on a Whipple setup with supporting fuel system isn’t worried about losing an engine.
