Jordan Belfort when you play a character for such a long time you begin to relate and gain aspects or features from that character. I can agree with this as I've played a role for theatre and you begin to become quite attracted to the character and it almost becomes apart of you.

Satan I agree with you. It's not just that he doesn't change his voice at all, he just overall seems to be similar in temperament to his character. Seeing him in Six Feet Under and in interviews you can tell he's not putting on much of an act with Dexter, with the exception of the serial killer thing.
Dexter's endless demise you decide would be a good show I think maybe Debra does not get shot police find out from the hotel staff that Hannah is there Debra heads towards the hotel the killer catches the broadcast because he's driving a truck he broke into that has a illegal cb heads towards the hotel knows Dexter's girlfriend and boy will be there by chance the truck has a gun perfect most likely the bitch who tried to kill him will be there he got shot but just a graze meanwhile Hannah called the nanny to pickup Harrison she left him downstairs in the cafe had forgotten a bag when looks out the window a truck and hears the cops coming

isborn11 Debra should of killed Dexter at the end and Hannah should of poisoned her self (Romeo and juliet shit). Debra battles depression but eventually marries quin and gets pregnant and takes care of Harrison the end But the show started falling apart when sergeant doakes died.
They should've scratched the ending of season 8 and done season 9 which focuses on Miami Metro closing in on Dexter and ends with him getting caught. To see the everyone's emotional reactions at Dexter being the Bay Harbor Butcher would've been a perfect climax and utilization of the eight year long built up suspense the audience has felt for Dexter being exposed for a killer. Such a waste of potential to what could've been, one of the best TV shows ever.
+secretcctvcamera Yeah, the thing about Dexter is that it was thrilling until around season 7. If they were able to maintain that level of suspense till the end, it would of been one of the best shows ever. I found Debs death unnecessary and I reckon instead of faking his death, he should've actually died with her in the ocean to portray self-punishment for his actions as opposed to becoming a lumber jack and punishing us XD
yungstud171 Some parts of season 7 I found thrilling, such as when Isak Sirko tries to kill Dexter and then later teams up with him killing the hitmans that are after Sirko. Bit unrealistic how Dexter just straight up stabs one of the assasins that love high-power rifles straight into his back at a shooting range.
They should make a spin-off when Michael.C.Hall is actually a serial killer on the set of Dexter and it's called Dexter.... They also improve the finale
Finished the series just a couple minutes ago. And I'm genuinely depressed by the outcome, but I'm also happy. It was a phenomenal show props to the writers. Applause everywhere.

they should make a new season where Dexter moves to Argentina to raise his fucking child lol - some new conflict arises and we can get an actual resolution between Dexter's normal side and killer side and the story could delve into what happens to Hannah and his son as well... Not him abandoning his child in the last 5 minutes of the series, do a Paul Bunyan impression and then look at the camera like he's being clever. really bad...i should have stopped after season 7 :L

Literally something I always wondered was how in the hell does Dexter manage to stay so fit AND have time for stalking and crime fighting/serial killing. Does he survive on an hour of sleep each night?
Season 8 was a joke. Didn't like it. It seems so forced. The villain was just trying so hard, the season's storyline was terrible. The ending just ruined it. I understand that the network won't allow the death of Dexter, but they should have made a better ending.
***** agree.. and how did he survived that storm for me is just stupid. Deb's death was meaningless, she should had been killed by a badass serial killer like the ice truck killer (they shouldn't killed him off) or the trinity.
Am I the only one who actually liked the ending? I mean I'm not a big fan of the whole "Dexter is a lumberjack" thing, but I liked how Dexter has isolated himself away from everyone he loves and is pretty much punishing himself for all the lives of the people closest to him that he has destroyed. He's put himself in a living hell, depriving himself of any happiness. But he is doing this because he wants to protect Hannah and Harrison from himself because it terrifies him that he might destroy their lives too, like he did to Deb. And the last time we see Dexter, you look into his eyes and realize that he's still Dexter, he's still a serial killer.
My favorite thing about Dexter is that in the merchandise store, they have a shirt that says "I survived the Dexter finale" implying that they already know how crappy it was
I thought of that, too. But their ignorance about his dark passenger was what helped give the end a special, sort of emotionally believable quality. That's the way it is sometimes in life -- the people close to a person may know, love and support them for years, but never know whole volumes about their inner lives. Batista, Masuka, and Quinn may not know about what swelled around them all those years, but they are still important and meaningful characters in Dex and Deb's life.
Dexter plays a good Michael C hall

I wish I could forget all that happened in Dexter and watch it from the beginning again. I love Dexter

I agree with everyone here but, didn't anyone agree the ending was terribly disappointing? ?
if you wait like 6 months, you can rewatch it. You wont remember everything , except the big character deaths.
I waited a few years, I remember most of season 1, 2, 3. Season 7 and 8 is almost blank for me lol.
Ben Dover I do understand that and I did super repeats of Season 5 and now I am stuck in nightly in Season 2

same here!! omfg
you don't know why? probably because you've been watching a show called "dexter" not "michael c hall" ?

Cant stop looking at him as dexter.. like THE DEXTER
My favorite thing about Dexter is that in the merchandise store, they have a shirt that says "I survived the Dexter finale" implying that they already know how crappy it was
It's so funny seeing him showing emotions and stuff. Whole 8 seasons he didn't. Just finished. Cried a bunch. Now I m here.
Michael C. Hall would be a good Joker
3:00 - Theres a treadmill in your room, Dexter..
who's here after finale?😭
great job blending in Dexter
@ 0:32 “people would hate that” I actually prefer that to what we got.
Dexter was the best tv series ever made bar none. Brilliant acting and great scripts and story lines.
Not sure if Dexter Morgan or Michael C Hall.
2:14 Dexter doing norm macdonald impression 😂
its so weird looking at this actor while also seeing his counterpart actor in dexter to completely different views!
I only know him from Dexter, Six Feet Under, and a movie called Justice League Gods and Monsters. I am surprised he is not in more mainstream movies.
Conan was totally put off. He tried to play it normal but you could see he felt uneasy sitting next to that serial killer
9 year later spoiler!
OMG! the joker thing is real scrip! in the Dexter new Blood! 😁
DEXTER IS COMIN BACK GUYS LETS GOOOOOOO
😀🖐🏻
does connan fit the code? what do we know? maybe dex will look him up xD
