If you listen to a lot of guns and roses you notice that a lot of it is buckethead, and when slash tries live, He can't keep up, buckethead can improvise solos...slash really can't. I am not hating on slash but it comes down to experience and bucket has more, you just have to really listen I guess

@@Bacon4Rashers It's not about shredding really though. Kudos for Slash writing some great songs but I've seen him live in GNR and also in Velvet Revolver. He's really very sloppy live and misses notes more than he should (which for most professionals would be one but for Slash it's dozens). He's more about looking and acting like ... well Slash ... on stage and that's part of his stage persona. Live he's a reasonably good guitarist but disappointing as well. As a mistake maker, he's pretty high up there. As many of these are bends, I wonder if he's going deaf or if he's so loaded his pitch is off.
Although this guy's definitely over selling it Buckethead is better than Slash, I have had hour long arguments about Slash being better BEFORE I heard Buckethead. The easiest way to put these two in their right full places is that Slash has more known songs and is an excellent song writer however, he wouldn't have these 'rock anthems' without a singer which enhances his songs. But Buckethead is a much better technical guitarist as he knows multiple genres and guitar techniques.

@amalienworkshop1 Too be honest, Slash is irreplaceable in GnR. Because everyone is familiar with his style and it fits the genre of music they play. However Buckethead is a better guitarist in pretty much every way I can think of, better technique, he is way more versatile (Buckethead has created over 40 albums and has played in over 15 different genres) and can shred like a beast
