- I'm going to rank 10 of the best sneakers ever made into a tier list. These sneakers are all iconic and extremely influential and they have paved the way for so many other sneakers we have on the market today.
The tier list works like this:
S Tier - The Best
E Tier - The worst!
EXTRA SHOE INFORMATION:
1. Converse Chuck 70
Pros - Extremely versatile, Comfortable when broken in, Last for years, Great value for money, Lots of variations, Vegan options
Cons - Too narrow for some, Not much support
2. Vans Authentic
Pros - Sleek, Versatile, Fit most feet, Vegan options
Cons - Start to look worn out fairly quick, Not much support
3. Nike Air Force 1
Pros - Versatile, Lots of different designs, Vegan options
Cons - Crease horribly, Too roomy for some, Expensive for what you get
4. Reebok Club C
Pros - Comfortable, Versatile, fantastic fit, Vegan options
Cons - Crease badly, Slightly clumsy looking, Don’t look good worn in, Not a lot of colourways
5. Adidas Samba
Pros - Versatile, Last for a long time, very easy to wear, Great value for money, So many options to choose from, Vegan options
Cons - Not the most comfortable & narrow for some
6. Nike Jordan 1
Pros - GOAT Design, Last for a long time, Lots of colour ways, Good support, Vegan Options

I’m a loose canon
The reason why i love Harry’s content is because of love towards converse. I started to wear converse from early young age and I love it every single day. I really don’t like any of Nike jordan sneakers and I thought i was the only one 🤣🤣.
More i watch Harry’s content more I really enjoy. Also its really hard to understand British English but i am surprised how Harry speaks English. It is intentional cos he knows his audience are not only a native English speaker. Well done brother👍👍

I totally agree about AF1s and Club Cs creasing. I like the look of both shoes in the store, but after a few wears they don't look good at all (although the Reeboks do look a little better beat up than the Nikes). Jordan 2s are the same way. Lately, my favorite sneakers are the NB 2002Rs and the Adidas Handball Spezials.
I really agree with the crease problem with the af1, they look great for the first 2-3 months and then its just goes downhill. I love vans though def a solid A tier would be an S if it weren't for them being a pain to clean😅😅. Also just ordered my first pair of chuck taylors should get them in 2-3 days. Really excited for them. 😁

The dunks have the same problem after a few months my dunks look more beat up than my forums after over a year

I hope sneakerheads won't rage in this comment section 😂 I'd say I'm somewhat of a "sneakerhead" (I hate this word) too, and I definitely don't agree with this list, but I respect your taste, since everyone is unique. This list would be great for introducing people to the world of sneakers, as these are pretty timeless models. And though I dislike Converses as I find them uncomfy, there are good reasons why they stayed in the game for over a century 🙏
Yeah I know a lot of people that don’t like Converse because it’s comfortable for them to wear and it hurts their feet. Makes sense.

Gotta agree with most of this. I like the look of a lot of them but not sure if I'd wear them. Mainly wear my New Balance 991s these days but not sure if they're a classic!

I wish I could enjoy the Chuck Taylor's too, but they really are a no go if you have a wide foot.
I wear authentics with shorts all summer. I can't think of another casual shoe that looks any good with nice shorts like linen without going formal with a boat shoe or something.

I agree too withe AF1 crease problem. I really love the triple white AF1, they are so versatile but after let’s say a year they have creases and the sole starts to yellow.. so mostly i must change them after 1-2 years. I really love them but sometime i hate them also 😅. I want in tue near future to buy some Off-White OOO triple white too but i think they will have the same peoblems as air force or maybe, i hope, they are more durable, idk.

As someone with wide feet the AF1 is automatically S-tier for me. I can wear them for hours and hours and not feel any discomfort. There are also great collabs with subtle details to add a little flair like the supreme ones. I totally get the creasing thing though. You kinda have to learn to live with it after a while.

I’ve wore quite a few sneakers and I agree that the chuck 70 is the ultimate sneaker
My Reebok Club C did not make it to the S-tier. Now I need a new monitor and keyboard.

4:25 For those who want a more comfortable version, Adidas makes another shoe called the Campus 80s. Those have an arch support so for those who need them like myself 😁
I am not a sneaker head but your analysis makes a lot of sense to me.
Club C is a nice understated shoe with that creamy colour. Much more wearable than a Jordan 1 Air Max 1 or AF1, Jordans and Maxes in the wrong outfits can look like kids shoes

Air force 1 are actually just an easy shoe. But me wearing wider clothes than you, the AF1 is kind of nice.

I love Chuck Taylors. They’re probably the only shoes, in my opinion, that looks just as good new as well as when they are worn-down/aged. You can literally rock them until the soles come off. And they are dirt cheap compared to the other icons.
Personally, but think you ranked everything pretty perfect. But I would’ve put the NBs in a or s tearw
I love my Air Force ones low and mid tops, but I respect your opinion on this tier list and agree with the wear and tear on the shoe.

Great list Harry, keep up the interesting content. I'd have a slightly different top 10 list. As an older sneakerhead, Some models where I'd be different in my top 10:
-Adidas Superstar over the Stan Smith (just my preference)
-New Balance 990 over the 574 (I think the 990 was first, and it's kind of the source of the modern NB popularity with the V1-V6)
-Vans Old Skool over Authentic (more iconic for me)
-Instead of the Puma Suedes I'd have Adidas Ultraboost on this list because they led a major shift in the modern market to super soft foam runners.

"AF1 go with everything!" sure they did in the early 2000s, but in 2024 you gotta move on. No more AF1 and no more Panda Dunks. And the funny thing is they both do not go with anything, and very commonly ruin the whole fit because the AF1 is just so bulky and the Pandas have an extremely weird lacing area. Wear some all white Jordan 1 lows if you actually want to pull off the look. They're slimmer and honestly a better shoe overall. And lets be honest, the issue with most shoes is when one is all white, all black, or panda. Sambas, jordans, and even AF1 and Dunks are cool, but they're nothing special when in those colorways. Literally hundreds of dunks but you choose pandas to "fit in?" Shoes are clothing to make you stand out
I am with you, the Chuck 70s are my absolute favourite sneaker, I love the look they give. I also wear the Club Cs quite a lot, even after 2 years of having them, for me they are a solid A tier.
I also used to love Stan Smiths, but I barely wear them nowadays, I just got tired of it I guess.
What I don't understand are the Air Jordans, I never really liked them and they do not seem versatile at all, in my opinion.
Another great video, Harry. I think you should think about an earthy tone aj1, like mochas. I can see you fitting it into your style

Respect for doing YOUR list. I feel like people should be more emboldened to follow their own tastes rather than simply following trends (and fwiw my list would look very similar to yours, except with the Gazelle in S and Samba in A)
Puma suede is one of the most underrated shoe right now.
I feel about the same as you on Vans Authentics these days… I have a ton of them, but I pick a pair of Chuck Taylors almost every time I grab a pair of shoes. The problem with Vans for me is where the pant leg hem hits the top of the shoe. It always leaves a little sock showing and throws everything off for me. Then in summer the sock situation is still a little off with Authentics, because tall socks kinda bunch up and poof out at the top of the shoe, no-shows are still very-shows, and the weird tiny socks are just uncomfortable. Good thing I have so many pairs of Chucks.

My top tier list would be the vans old school dx(with the ultra cush insole), vans slipon ultracush, puma suede and maybe an air max 90 depending if the colors are not gross. I live in Japan and would say NB is the sneaker i see the most second to stan smith
@harryhas totally fair ranking I would say. Agree with everything you said tbh. I got a pair of Club C two years ago. I do like them and wear them often but the creasing does annoy me slightly. I got the black sambas and I really like them. Going for the white ones next. I don't really care about the trend. They are a well made, good looking, low profile shoe and that's what I go for.

I raise my counter argument for the placement of the Reebok Club C's:
They're INSANELY comfy, 80/90s computer case beige tinted, and they have funky minty green and red accents, how can ya go wrong with that?
At least I'm not the only one who feels that way about AF1, my top 👟 is samba, chuck 70, army trainer and Cortez for life

ASICS for sneaking around and VANS for heavy lifting. Thats all you need in my opinion. For the last 6+ years I wear exclusively Asics for everyday use and wouldnt change them for nothing.

you've definitely never worn Air max 1s. They age like a fine wine, especially the ones with a mesh mudguard. No creasing, super comfy and probably the most durable pair from this list

The only Nikes I have ever worn are the Omega Flame and Wimbledon, love Diadora Borg Elites and Seb Coes as for Adidas where do U start Gazelles, Zx600, Dublin, Stockholm and London, Bermuda, Jamaica and Trinidad, Tobaccos and Jeans

Personally I’d put them in B tier creased and around A tier non-creased because of the simple yet stylish look they give. It’s also white so it can go along with a lot of outfits
I bought the Chuck 70 due to your influence two years ago and this year I bought the leather Star Player 76 as a way to get the vans out of my closet. I love it and it's incredibly comfortable. Have you tried it, what do you think?

I used to love Converse 10 years ago but the lack of wide foot options in the Chuck 70 and the crazy tongue slippage just puts me off.

I like the look of the converse and dior b23 but I dont find it fit in my wardrope. I think it will go pretty well with tapered or slim fit pants while I prefer some wide fit and straight fit 😢
My sneakers of choice are a pair of white Common Project lookalikes I bought from Vegetarian Shoes 5 years ago.
totally agree on airforce's. they are C tier at best. to me they are extremely uninspiring. Vans sk8-hi and chuck's are S tier to me.
but I think that Puma Suede deserve B tier. they are nothing to write home about but are solid, classic looking shoes, that don't ever look bad.
