yes I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about Vistara, for most part Flight crew based out of Delhi isn't that friendly compared to being based out of Mumbai or Bangalore. I didn't know VT-TSQ had Hainan's interior and not actual vistara interior, no wonder why they only flew one exact route to keep consistency. I assume your experience would have been different if you flew to Paris or London instead of frankfurt.
I had to take a flight with Vistara to report it on my TH-cam channel but since there was war in Tel Aviv I couldn't do it anymore. I hope that in the future trip report will be about this! Nice video

While the legal merger of Air India and Vistara will completed early next year, the brand merger will be done after 2-3 years when Air India reaches the service level of Vistara. I wonder whether it's worth fighting for my right to look out of the window on Dreamliner? I've also encountered such a situation several times, that I pay for a seat near the window and then all of the windows are being forcefully dimed with no option foe each passenger to have a control over his/her own window. Wtf?
Hey David, awesome video. Here is some correction for VT-TSQ. It is delivered originally for Hainan Airlines as B-206R, then it suppose to be transferred and sold to Bamboo Airways as VN-A828 but then COVID wiped out the airline's plan to take her in, then repainted and then transferred to Vistara as VT-TSQ. Still kept the cabin layout and seat type from Hainan Airlines Overall amazing video though :)
Maybe airlines don't understand that air vents on the ceiling is important but it is for passengers like me. Now with air vents being get rid of, how do I make the passenger who is flattening down their seats Infront of my seats be uncomfortable??
@@gabrielb9010 that’s literally the whole reason of why he needs to do one. Qantas has been falling behind since the pandemic, due to the corruption of the CEO. So, he needs to confirm what Qantas needs to improve on.

I will never get why in this day and age airlines still distribute those cheap headphones to EVERY economy class passenger. Probably 99% of those end up in garbage. Why don’t they just hand them out (still at no charge) only to passengers who really want them. I would bet it would reduce significantly at least this kind of waste.
None of them were thrown away. Just like the metal cutleries and pillow sheet, they were cleaned and reused by the catering services for the next flight. Except for the cotton that were put in the ear area, those were mostly disassembled and thrown away immediately
I have travelled on the same sector 3 times, but it was on their usual 787s. The experience more or less matched what you saw, maybe the crew was a bit more friendly for me. Most annoying part for me was the window locking and security check at Delhi, which is so busy. For the price they offered I think it was fine, but certainly not comparable to ME3 carriers.
Middle eastern carriers are some of the best for India - EU/NA routes especially in catering, hard product and crew behavior, but their default baggage rules are way more restrictive than Vistara or Air India. I got a INR 30k flight via Vistara in MAA-BOM-FRA sector which is a steal considering Vistara gave me 46 Kg baggage allowance. Etihad on the other hand is also price competitive but only gave me 27 Kg by default and I had to separately purchase additional baggage. As a student on a budget, I would happily prefer Vistara.
I think next trip you must take Emirates A380 to Bali... I just want to know how about your experience because Bali just the one and only in Indonesia can accept A380 and the one and only just Emirates non stop from Dubai...
There are 3 airports in Indonesia that could served the A380 actually: - Hang Nadim Airport, due to its status as alternative airport for Changi in case of natural and unforseen circumstances - Soekarno-Hatta Airport, as the main airport of Indonesia and had seen an SQ A380 doing emergency landing there - And lastly Ngurah Rai Airport, was planned as emergency airport by Qantas and other airlines for their A380 flights from Australia to East Asia but it never came into fruition until recently when EK decided to use A380 for it's flights to DPS due to unexpected high demand for the route
@@Kuricang31 Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta international airport don't have facilities and infrastructure for A380 especially in apron, maybe just Terminal 3 but it still too small for it.. I hear that Ngurah Rai Bali international airport just have 1 Gate for A380...
@@dana.q2447 Yet an A380 had landed in Jakarta twice before. One for an emergency landing and the other one is when Airbus brought the plane during its Asia-Pacific tour. So yeah, Soekarno-Hatta Airport does have necessary infrastructure to accommodate an A380 lol
I’m sorry you had a less than stellar flight. I think having Air India as its only benchmark at home, means the bar hasn’t been set very high in recent years. So of course, Indian travellers would be thrilled at the level of service Vistara provides and generate hype, but that same service will be basics expectations for the given flight duration, for others. Also, expectations may not be met on every single flight, even the most well-respected airlines like Singapore, ANA, Qatar, etc. get things wrong once in a while.
Once in a while.... With Air India it's most of the times..... So I have 0 expectations from AI, even after their fleet renewal, cabin upgradation, and service....
Ahh you can always tell where someone is from by the use of the word 'upgradtion'... it is not word used western English speaking countries as the noun to use is just 'upgrade'... I see colleagues confused when they see it in emails...
Many airlines don’t offer a full bar service with the second meal. This includes British Airways in economy class. LHR-LAX and the second meal served was with tea, coffee, water or orange juice.
I actually had a pretty good experience in Vistara from Kolkata to Delhi! The food service was good, the aircraft was clean, and the crew was nice for the most part.
David, I promise by 2024 end we will not have any more chaotic security check in Delhi. Also, Vistara is an over hyped airline. The product is nowhere comparable to standard airlines like Etihad, Gulf, Oman etc. (I am not even comparing it to Emirates, Qatar)
I've flown Vistara both in business and economy. my economy experience was great. if u ask for it, they might give u the soft product of premium economy and business class. U can ask for drinks at any point of time(atleast with me)
I absolutely can´t stand, when Dreamliner crews lock the Windowshades. What´s the point? Maybe i want to watch a movie on my tablet during daytime or maybe i want to look at the lights of citys below during the night. Locking it is absolutely pointless and restrictive.
This review is very honest, and I can affirm the same about the Vistara crew's attitude. They are not friendly. As someone who travels frequently on the DEL-FRA route, I've noticed this consistently.
are they still using the old aircraft mentioned in the video or have the switched to the new one. ( I'm travelling there in a week so this info would be helpful to prepare myself ) thanks

In terms of soft products & cabin crew service, it is a negative sloping curve as well for vistara. Whereas Air India is getting a lot better with crew service and soft products currently
The reason why Vistara is deterioating is because TATA's focus is now mainly on Air India and they have already announced that from 2024 onwards they will merge vistara with Air India with the pilots and the fleet.
