Air India is not run by government anymore TATA acquired it back in 2022 and has also ordered new 470 aircrafts from airbus and boeing and i recently travelled in their brand new A350 and it was amazing you should try it too
Yep good point - the point I was trying to make is that when Vistara was launched (and for most of its history), Air India was gov’t run, making it less formidable of a competitor and enabling Vistara to better differentiate. And I’m very jealous you got to fly the AI A350! Looks like a huge improvement over the current product (and ofc it’s a stunner from the outside too) 😎
lucky!!! i was on one of the old air india planes... it was a b787-8. our ife didnt even work lol 13 hour flight, i saw one of the new ones and it looked soo coool!!!
@@flaps1019Hope ypu travel on th e new Air India fleet on a long haul soon..Air India is still WIP ….but getting there… and the Singapore lineage that you spoke of…. They trained in their initial days from Air India,…which was one of the best in the world in its heyday days…
@@dasaritra007 Absolutely, and all because of the near-obsessive attention to detail of its founder-boss, JRD Tata, who himself piloted quite a few flights on the Bombay-Geneva-London route. Not surprisingly, Air India was #1 in the 1968 Daily Mail's global airlines list (15 years after being nationalized by the Indian Government). The reason why SIA received training from Air-India was because the iconic Lee Kuan Yew insisted that his team learn from and replicate the high standards set by Air India.
Very clean but underrated vid. I recently flew Air India’s A350 from Bengaluru to Delhi. Didn’t take the business class for a 2 hr long flight, but Premium Economy was quite good too. You should try it someday when you visit us again. Hope you enjoyed your stay in India!
I hope the merger with Air India will not affect the service quality of Vistara in a bad way. Air India has a bad rep for in-flight service and bad equipment.
Totally agree- Air India CEO referenced not getting rid of the Vistara brand until Air India can meet or exceed the product/service levels of Vistara, which I really hope is true
I wanted to witness Business class of Vistara but i won't be able to since my travel is after 11th Nov 2024! Vistara is one of the best airlines in India and no airline is even close to Vistara in terms of hospitality, planes, food, on time airlines! I will miss Vistara!
Firstly, this is my favorite airline so far in India...... You have 5.28K subscribers, but this video has been watched by 44K as of August 4, 2024. You must come to India often....... Why is the food awesome? Because it’s from Taj Sats (a Tata company, too). You know the Taj hotel chain in India and abroad....... Lastly, we all know that Vistara will be becoming a part of Air India, but we might not see this kind of service in the future. Fingers crossed.
I Flew on The Vistara 787-9 From Delhi To Denpasar(Bali)(Indonesia). I was also sitting in 1A. Which was epic, I ate a lot of cheese hehe. I am so shocked that a youtuber is vlogging b787-9 on vistara. Keep it Up! (Flight is 8 hours)
That lounge is great.. used it just before lockdown flying Lufthansa. As for only 30 mins in lounge, their own fault for only turning up 2 hours before take off.. if I’m flying business, I’m getting to airport 3 hours ahead to make the most of a lounge!!
3:04 What you most likely heard was the squeaky shoes of a toddler😂. It's like a squeaky toy in your sole, makes a sound each time the child takes a step.
When you fly business out of Mumbai T2 (domestic or international) You can use business n first class security check located on either end of the terminal. Additionally, you’ve dedicated immigration desk. It takes 10 mins from getting the boarding pass to cross the immigration. Trust me it’s the best experience across the world. As I’ve been to 45+ countries n used it 120+ times.
air india is now privatize also they order largest number of plains in entire aviation history in single order, they order 470 new aircraft for 80billion $ deal with airbus and boeing
You missed the point ...service lineage isn't SA, but Air india under tata who trained and stood up SA to start off with. Not saying learning stops, but NOONE knows Air India trained SA whoch also needs acknowledgement
Very happy to have discovered your channel today and this video easily convinced me to subscribe. Look forward to catching up on your past reviews and for what's to come. Super job.
WOW!....Absolutely awesome flight review / nicely presented too, that food looked so yummy., pity about VISTARA future fate / much nicer than Air India !
Vistara is being merged into India's premier full service carrier Air India . . . although it'd have been wise to retain the Vistara brand & operate under Air India administration & ground infrastructure . . . both Air India & Vistara could share their MRO, crew & operational doctrines . . . that way Air India will save significant amount of money in it's daily flight operations . . . afterall Vistara too is owned by the Tata Group . . .
While they love to claim that they are the best airline of India, my own experience of Vistara showed me that they are the worst of all. I did a trip from Delhi to Mumbai on economy class with Vistara recently and just because the plane was about one hour late, they decided to depart from Delhi without even having all the passengers luggage on board. Most of the passengers who had their luggage left back are on the economy class, because the Business class and the Premium class have a different line at the airport and had all their luggage sent onboard. About twenty passengers + from economy class could not find their luggage at arrival all because the airline had decided to depart even without having all the luggage onboard. The passengers were informed at arrival that their luggage had been left behind so as not to delay the plane anymore. It has to be said that unlike most airlines who ask for feedback from all passengers after a trip, economy class passengers do not have the option of leaving their feedback and this is for a good reason. They clearly don't care about the economy class passengers. If they did, they would be careful with their clients belongings and avoid such a situation. I was supposed to have a correspondance to Mauritius after this flight and I was so lucky that my flight had been rescheduled one day later. Or else, I wouldn't have been able to get my luggage before leaving India. This is why never again, I will book a flight with Vistara or will I ever recommend this airline to anyone. I've travelled on a lot of airlines before but it is the first time I see one plane voluntarily allowed to take off without all the luggage of the passengers. And they do not even inform the passengers about this.

Goddammit bro relax the same player operates both the airlines and their the best money can offer u interms of service and ticket cost.juzt relax and fly in breeze

Let's start a camping nd stop this Merger 😅we want both Vistara nd Air India.
I know both r under TATA but we need this beauty.
Air India - Vistara Class

Well they wont be integrated until Air India brings up its service level up to that of Vistara's and it was officially said by the CEO
7:03 sugar cane juice is extracted freshly from sugarcane here in India. Not sure how they serve it on the flight but it’s very delicious.
This channel is IMMENSELY underrated!

Its not Victor Tango when it comes to Indian Airlines- Its VT(Viceroy Territory)
Victor tango is aviation language for VT.
It is not a short form.

was lucky enough to fly with them from FRA to BOM and back recently. Top notch service. Will be sad to see them go away.
Damn, This Video is amazing...
why is this soo underrated?
Tatas the real owners of Air India know how to do it in style... I am sure it will be a great merger.
Great content-from aviation enthusiast from India.....fly more bro

Outstanding video, thanks. It's really disappointing that Vistara is being merged out of existence. It should be the surviving brand, not Air India.
Lounge looks the best any airport could have .I mean really there like the Paris or the newyork ones.very good .dint expect this level
air india is now privatize also they order largest number of plains in entire aviation history in single order, they order 470 new aircraft for 80billion $ deal with airbus and boeing
16:33 7.2/10 was too specific 😂😂
Vistara had made a identity by themselves
Their Famous star is so beautiful and ai unique
Will miss the star, that’s for sure
Never been in flight.. make me happy to watch it, atleast.
It's sad. They should keep this superior brand. Unless everything will be upgraded to this level.
You missed the point ...service lineage isn't SA, but Air india under tata who trained and stood up SA to start off with.

your videos are fantastic!! very enjoyable and detailed!
Lovely review!
How are you at just 5K subs and 45K views?
You belong up there!
Vistara ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm quite optimistic about Air India's future.
Imagine using that silly pretzel arm stretch mid flight as a nicotine withdrawal coping mechanism when you could have just packed nicotine pouches

We have had enough hijacking already brother. Intense security checks are reasonable.

You should have tried the Sugarcane juice!
