I started console repairs because I started watching your videos. I am nowhere near your level, but my soldering skills learnt from a very early age have held me in good stead! I made sure I practised on consoles that I purchased before I attempted to do customer repairs. There are so many tutorials and so much information out there that you should be able to do the basic fault finding required. Your videos have helped me fix countless devices, stopping them from becoming e-waste and saving people money!
Phillll! Miss your stream buddy. Btw UART should work always even if there's a short. The only time it won't work is when the short is on the SB or SB related issues. I'm very very sure of this.
Hi Thecod3r, great job with most of your videos educating the public on how to go abt these technical repairs. I also do repair on my little level and hoping to match ur level someday😁. A PS5 console was brought to my repair shop and it has the error code CE-108255-1. Most of the information I have gotten on the web/TH-cam has not been helpful. I have search through your videos hoping you have done a repair on such fault before, kindly provide a link if any or any information you can share will be helpful. Great job once again Cheers
18:09 I cringed when you used an x-acto knife to cut tape on the PS5's metal shell. I know it's just cosmetics, but it's permanent. It would be just as easy to cut the tape on a wood block on the table.
Coder you're really really good. Would like to ask why not making a video explaining when thermal pads become ineffective or unusable after being pressed/touched too much and when we can still save and use some of them thanks
Just change the thermal pads when you think you should but I think it's more about the pads being there than their age but if you are on doubt just change them. They are not expensive.
Hi mate hope your well I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and love your work I’m hoping to start a TH-cam channel soon doing the things I like best fixing things just a quick question where’s the best place to sores faulty products again keep up the work
So have to ask. What are some signs you need a new hdmi port on the ps5? My system in a launch model and has just sat with my hdmi cable plugged in but its loose but works perfectly fine and has for past 3yrs. But was wondering because its loose dose that mean it needs replaced? I hear ypu say it all the time "oh the hdmi is loose it needs replaced." Edit: when should liquid metal be replaced also?
If the hdmi is loose probably on its way out if you still have a picture don’t worry to much juts stop moving it about/ with Liquid Metal I tell people should really get it looked at about 12/18 months Liquid Metal should be fine but it’s the dust build up inside the console can cause the ps5 to shut off with over heating
Hi Cod3r, I have a ps5 disk edition that when I start any game it crashes and gives me error CE-108255-1. I've tried everything software-wise to repair it but still no change. I also tried to remove the disk drive thinking it could be that but nothing. I also contacted ps support but they couldn't help. What do you think it could be? Do you think it could be a problem with the hardware? If so, what part of the board do you think is faulty? I saw many people having this problem but no one seems to know what causes it. Thank you, love your videos
Yeah same error I get in a digital edition. Hooking it to UART gives no answer. This is literally the hardest thing to solve. I bet he still doesn't have an answer to this day 😂
Why do you use the tweezers..why not u a cocktail stick with a sticky substance on it to just lift it up when its loose rather than trying to pick it up with those tweezers
Probably cause he’d have to learn how to use another tool and when you pull the chip upwards you risk damaging pads. It’s probably just easier for him to use the tweezers. If it works why change it?
We all use tweezers to do this.. your sticky substance would melt way before the solder under the chip is hot enough to remove from the board.. On a PS5 your using heat in the 480-500 celsius range
I thought this was a channel to show people that you know how to fix electronics but I. Also didn't know that you put people down for doing it the wrong way. Or when they criticize you, that is very, very poorer of yourself.
I criticise people when they need to be criticised. If you don't receive feedback and get told you're wrong how will you ever learn to do things the right way? Too many snowflakes can't take negative feedback these days. If a repair shop is selling a service they should be able to do the job properly, simple as that. If you don't like my openness and honesty this channel isn't for you

I deserved the time out 😂😂 Great persistence and repair on this one Phil!
Sad too many so call repair shops not being caught 4 not being pro enough to fix this ...why are they in business if they are useless exactly?
Phillll! Miss your stream buddy.

Alles wieder gut in deinem Leben. Gut das du wieder da bist. Grüße aus dem Saarland. Support ist kein Mord.

Nice video and nice to see your back ❤

@@AA-xm7rt they are expensive, more than thermal paste
@@manuelfabris7541 I have them in 3 sizes like 50 pcs for less than €15 I think.
Another great video Phil mate is there an update the next day video ?

Wonder if they injected voltage down data lines by accident?
Why are a lot of TH-camrs that fix stuff too lazy to cover caps in kapton tape to keep them from flying off??? 🤦🤦🤷🤷
Hello bro! Does the PS5 turn on without wi-fi module? It needs to be replaced to test the power on?
Yes it is needed in order to power on
Bro.What are the best sources for learning PS5 repair
Hi
Where could I send my xbox one fur repair it powers on and off issue ? Awsome content by the way
My Regards
Of course you can
Why compare yourself with other shops, not all the shops are the same…and if you think you know something, it’s nothing to gloat about.
Not streaming on YT any more ?
I wonder. If xsx are stucking on xbox logo from time to time it is probably problem with dying ssd? Or something else is happening with this console?
did it end up working the next day
Yeah it went back working fine 🙂

I’m famous. I’m BrisyBhoy. Phil said my name on a video. Yeahhhhhhhhh
Do you take repairs from the us?
Good video
Very strange you do this for a living and can’t find critical parts you use in most videos.
Or did you mean he physically can't find the parts on his bench lol!😂
Your obviously not a repair tech my friend. Loosing critical parts is the mark of a seasoned repair technician~
he don’t answer emails through the website either how u gonna make money mugging ppl off
I believe he was in the process of moving shop.

I thought this was my mate vince's ps5. 😅
You gotta stop getting PS5's from My Mate Vince. 🙃
I think that Sony should have added a connector for UART to make it easier for console technicians to fix things.
We already can on PS5
Console doctor
Why haven't you streamed for awhile?
missed ya
"Nice and easy"
**looks at video length**
lol
I'm sure I've seen this video before 🤔
Hows things
Longtime no see bro 😁
No one cares old man🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
