I’ve only just discovered your channel. My knowledge is limited but my teen boys try their best to nudge me along. Great relatable content and you talk proper too. GREAT CHANNEL!!!
Hey Phil, never have commented much but just wanted to say your recents videos have improved so much in terms of quality, video angle, explanation, so i'd just like to say thanks for your hard work and knowledge your share to us/me 👍
Phil as much as you talk about being a money grabbing youtuber, your not man. You charge completely reasonable prices. Your fair and your work is most definitely worth it.
The point you make around 10:56 is what I'm doing right now, 3 weeks ago I bought a fairly basic setup and am now trying to learn soldering/techrepair.. it's so much harder than you guys make it look! Also you mention about the flux being left on there too long, I am using mg chemicals no clean flux paste it's a nightmare to get off the board but should it be doing it even though it's 'no clean'
I work with children diagnosed with autism (among other behavioral, developmental, and mental health diagnoses) and textures like the way things feel can cause some serious discomfort. Your exactly right Phil. I will say though, i do not have that diagnosis and i can not stand textures like that on my hands. I hate lotions and greesy feeling things. It just feels oily and unclean. At least to me.
Perhaps 99% acetone would have a negative effect if left on the board, but not iso. I've used 91% for decades and never had an issue. 99% is even better.
Pretty sure those scratches and ripped traces from prying ribbon cables off with what may as well have been a crowbar is likely gonna do a little bit more damage than the iso...
So, is that Mrs Cod3r singing the songs there? Got a good voice :D Just think you could get the kids on the instruments and save money on audio tunes too ;)
happened with my console, put it all together, no hdmi no power 😅, working ok now, but another operation to get m2 slot and apply thermal paste may happen.
Nothing wrong with wearing gloves mate I do also on repairs or working on vehicle there made to protect your hands and easier on your hands then using soap and water continously
I'm not phil, but I wouldn't say the ds is particularly easy. It has quite a few ribbon connectors, and the ones for the top screen are pretty finicky, as they are coiled through the hinge. The gameboy line is, in my experience, pretty beginner friendly, though.
Hey Phil, first of all, great work as always I have a question off topic tbh, i wanna know your oponion on how the fellow youtuber "Joey Does Tech" gets such crazy view numbers on his channel with a way lower number of subscribers compared to your channel while having kind of the same content. I don't wanna spred rumours or anything, but it's sooooooo suspicious I wanna know your thoughts please, as well as the community tbh, thhxxxx !
@@yotoprules9361 i know that bro but trust me, it's sus You can go and check his history of videos and see how the number of views evolved, it's insane, yet his number of subscribers didn't go up anywhere close. I'm not accusing anyone, I'm just pointing to something I noticed
Yes nice price and I use 99% ips on a lot of things including my controller repairs and general console cleaning phones but big console repairs I’ll leave that to the experts😂😂😂
I would have looked at it and said "it all needs replacing", just not worth spending the time on something so cheap unless you're making a video of course.... Or in fact just pointed them to the store so they can do it themselves lol.
The customer needs to refrain from "attempting" repairs. Not only does someone else need to repair the original issue, they have to fix all the things the customer damaged. 🤦🏻♂️
We did not tell you about the ribbon because how else are you gonna learn. It's about time you lean something Phil. You're a grown man now, we can't hold your hand every step of the way

Excellent Repairs and Video! Do you have a "fool proof" way, of confirming a popcorned board? Thank you for explaining everything too. 👏
Cheers Phil! Keep on Fixing! and Excellent repair on this one.
People who say 99% ISO wrecks boards are idiots. I work as a repair technician and use ISO every day with no issues.

Don't forget the ribbon cable, Phil. Have a great weekend Sir.

looks easy until you realise how small everything is
Didnee know you smoked the rettes
Brilliant, your patience and attention to details is superb. You sound like a black country boy, where are you located?
Hi ,can i ask in your opinion which would be a better buy , a series x or a playstation5
Phil would you say that nintendo ds is a good starter console for someone wanting to learn this?

Btw ps5 pro has two LQ cambers on left that leak after a few days
Huh?
Look the board over completely be for you start.
this why i been on pcs for the last 30yrs there so easy to fix all so i never have the problems like this anyways

@andymouse it gives the vibes that he's having bot watching his videos to raise the number of viewers
@@wilddreamer5907 :)
