  • Jose is a brand new student of mine, and this was his first ever flight lesson. My first lessons are always about getting comfortable with the aircraft by learning the fundamentals - climbs, turns and descents. That lays the foundation for the rest of training.
    Enjoy the flight!

      Lovely Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Rozardner Flying Bird Reality (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for how to get pilot license without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my best friend Jordan after many years got great success with it.

    An older friend who is starting his primary training in a few days, asked me "what will my flight instructor have me do on the first flight lesson?" Well, that was over 50 years ago in my case, so I didn't remember. But I found this Geordie video for him and I think it will help him a great deal. Thanks for posting.

    I wish you were my flight instructor. After my first flight lesson I've lost the joy to fly. My flight instructor in Thailand put so much pressure on me. He told me he was checking if I stay calm or get in panic in high pressure moments, to see if I'm suitable to become a pilot. Is this a normal procedure to check the students or just a bad habbit of a former military pilot?

    Do I understand it right that,
    Stall will happen when you have a large angle of attack at relative low speed?
    But if with the same angle of attack, the speed is much higher, then stall won't happen? And the plane will climb up of course.
    Right?
    What are those speeds and angle of attacks?

    • @LewDixAviation
      @LewDixAviation  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      An aircraft will always stall when it exceeds critical angle of attack. This means that at any speed they can stall.

    • @sohail1855

      @@LewDixAviation
      OK........But what about fighter jets and acrobatic plans?
      They goes straight and vertically up without stalling.
      I suppose that their high speed is the reason for this.
      So why can't other plans give full throttle with a high angle of attack to prevent the stall ?

    The hardest part for me was spotting the airport from the air, and other air traffic...

    Hello from your motherland Lewis! Awesome video mate, I am just about to start my PPL here in the UK. I can only hope my teacher is as fun and as good as teacher as you appear to be. Keep the videos coming.

      Interesting you ask. He stopped flying after his PPL. But...... You’ll be seeing his dad’s training on my channel. He just started with me. Interesting timing

      @@LewDixAviation Why did he stop flying? Loss of interest or rather financial or other reasons?

    • @LewDixAviation
      @LewDixAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@profundus8946 Loss of interest. I had my suspicions during his training that his heart wasn’t fully in it and had talks with him as any good instructor should. But he wanted to continue. After he got his license he moved in a different direction.
