@@spannaspinna You must not have gone on vacation in a car full of family. Like ever in your entire life. What are you like 8 years of age? Also not sure what your point is, are you implying planes cannot land? Or implying his father has no reason to be scared once off the ground? Because both of those points would be dead-ass wrong.
The unplugging to take off was the smoothest ahahahah... love it Priceless reaction indeed. And nothing like an awesome landing with a first time passenger. Congrats.
I did this with my mother 15 years ago when I got my license. Except I told her I had my license once we were in the plane and she asked where the pilot was. Wish I would have filmed it.
That mixed with the Active Noise Cancellation but into the headset and the increase in RPM (louder engine noise) he couldn't hear me even with the headset unplugged. Had some time to plan this out and it worked perfectly.

LOVE IT!.....When I took my Dad up for the 1st time in a Cessna...he knew I had a license, but on climb out he said "LET'S GO BACK, TURN AROUND" 😄 ...(small plane climbs so slow compared to an airliner) he did not like that. Your Dad was great, no fear, only happiness.
I’m so happy for you 🥳 On the 4th April 1990 I did my first solo in a Piper PA38. I didn’t tell my Dad that I was going to do my first solo that day so not to worry him. When I got back home with my proudly owned solo certification he was in the living room watching the telly, I stuck my head around the door and armed with a big smile I said “dad, I’ve just done my first solo” he replied “so you’ve got your license then?” I said “no! I’ve just flown an airplane to 1,000ft and landed it on my own” he replied disappointedly “Oh is that it?” 😢
Your old man is so proud and enjoying every second! My dad passed away a couple of months ago and I would love he would have been so proud of me as your dad is of you!
Loved your video. What a great surprise! Your dad's reactions were so heartwarming. I will never forget the first time I took my dad up. A day you will never forget. Congrats on getting your license. Be safe and learn lots.
The video you were referring to of the guy not telling his friend he was a pilot, and he flew him around is what I just watched and at the end it your video pops up. Man that was great! Your dad was so excited, that has to be the worst video he's ever taken! he was trying to record on his camera, phone, and enjoy the experience. Greatness!
Why did this make me cry? (Former jumper with 550+ skydives). And DAD! Way cool at the end that he was a pilot. What a better 'passenger' than your Dad?
Congratulations! What a great surprise. And the fact that you were able to pull it off with your Dad already knowing a lot about your flying is even more impressive.
Got my licens in 1978, 150, 152, 172 Skyhawk, and owned a 1946 BC12D Taylorcraft.....good flying buddy, and watch those crosswinds, and never forget Carb Heat....🙂
I did a similar thing to my mom in 1998, 3 weeks after earning my license. Took her for a ride in a 152. Ya know the cheap plastic vent tubes just above each seat in the corners of the ceiling? Well, they regularly rattle out and fall on the floor. My moms just happened to fall in her lap about 1 minute after liftoff. I proclaimed, "Hhuuuh! Wing bolt!" I was 32 years old. The look on my moms face right before she grounded me was priceless.

It’s been an awful time, but I’ve survived and so will you. You won’t get over the loss you’ve experienced, but you’ll learn to live alongside it as each day comes and goes. You’re still young. You don’t know what the future holds, and my advice is to not think too far ahead, take things one day at a time, and allow your emotions. You may feel ok today, but be a blubbering mess tomorrow. Allow it all. I’m in the U.K. I live alone with my cat Ziggy. (You can see him in the videos I’ve posted) life is hard, but we have to be harder. I hope you can get comfort from your son and any other family and friends you may have. I hope you have hobbies, because they will really help. I’m an artist, so I can lose myself for hours when doing painting or drawing, and I’m lucky enough to get commissions, so I’m always busy. Good luck Jeff. 🤗🇬🇧
@@jefftuttlejr Hope you're doing well man. Going through something similar at the moment, but i'm trying to stay positive.
I love that look of total surprise and pride on your dad's face as you pull back and get in the air - priceless, and all caught on camera to show the grandkids one day.
Dad was a champ, humoring his son. I'm sure he knew all along. 😂
Well , that’s what I said in today’s comment that I posted , and he even text me back saying different ! But hey , we’ll never know for sure ! But I’m with you , which makes it better if we’re right ! DAD FOOLS SON , INTO LETTING SON THINK DIFFERANTLY 🛬🛫✈️🛫🛬🛩🚅
He knew...🤣
He even came prepared with his SLR camera and gimangous lens😂
@@allenl9214 Doesn't look like a particularly big lens to me - perhaps a nice wide 14-24/2.8
@@clickrickhumongous …truly ginormous
Honestly, this made me tear up a bit. He was so proud of you at that moment...a moment you both will never forget. Heck, I'm proud of you and I don't even know you! I haven't flown in over 10 years now and deeply regret never taking my dad up when I was current. He even told me one time that he would love to fly with me. Gutted. Like your dad, I know my dad would be so proud of me and would have loved to see first hand and be a part of my first flight experiences. We both still have air in our lungs, so I guess it is still not too late. Thanks for sharing. I hope to get back into aviation again soon. All the best!
I've seen that look that your dad has in my own father. An image and feeling that can never be erased. I know few are actually as lucky as us, but I wish all were. Surprise, joy, pride, but mostly love. Moments like this show the best of us, let's keep it going! Make someone smile today. 🤙🙂

that was smooooth!
Requesting clearence while Dad does not hear anything.
I just love how your dad so quickly trusted you! Awesome!
That’s my first thought. He wasn’t worried one bit. Complete pride and trust.
Not much choice once the nose lifts off the ground lol
@@spannaspinna You must not have gone on vacation in a car full of family. Like ever in your entire life. What are you like 8 years of age?
Also not sure what your point is, are you implying planes cannot land? Or implying his father has no reason to be scared once off the ground? Because both of those points would be dead-ass wrong.
@@spannaspinna "Take the wheel Jesus"
@@Censortubes not nearly as much as you , you’d be one of those pack a day crayon eaters , I hope you can get that under control soon
Awwww I am sure your dad is so proud of you!! I took my dad flying several times during my flight career and he was so proud. Congratulations to you!
that old guy is having the tine of his life!!! god bless!
Amazing. What a great way to surprise your dad. The look on his face is priceless. Congrats on getting your license!
The unplugging to take off was the smoothest ahahahah... love it
Priceless reaction indeed. And nothing like an awesome landing with a first time passenger. Congrats.
That was super slick pulling your dad’s headset announcing your departure 👏🏽
I did this with my mother 15 years ago when I got my license. Except I told her I had my license once we were in the plane and she asked where the pilot was. Wish I would have filmed it.
😂
Pretty slick unplugging his headset like that 😆 🤣🤣🤣
That mixed with the Active Noise Cancellation but into the headset and the increase in RPM (louder engine noise) he couldn't hear me even with the headset unplugged. Had some time to plan this out and it worked perfectly.
@@TheRecreationalPilot love it when a plan comes together
Now i know why every pilot sounds like that on the comms. HE'S LITERALLY EATING THE MIC!!.
Well have the mic any further away and it won't pick uo your voice, exactly what happened to my dad in this video
What an unforgettable surprise! Taking your dad flying when he least expected it must have been an incredible moment. Sharing your passion and revealing your accomplishment in such a unique and thrilling way is a memory that both of you will cherish forever. It's a testament to the strong bond you share and the joy of creating precious memories together above the clouds.
i never met my dad and have no relationship with him. my son is five and this video brought me to tears of hope to have the opportunity to experience something like this. you are blessed to have such a relationship with your father and the execution and dedication to do something that makes you happy is what we as dads all dream of. beautiful video in all forms. your old man filming everything like a lunatic is proof this was something very special for him. memories are rare and he wanted every ounce of documentation. kudos and god bless. ❤
LOVE IT!.....When I took my Dad up for the 1st time in a Cessna...he knew I had a license, but
on climb out he said "LET'S GO BACK, TURN AROUND" 😄 ...(small plane climbs so slow compared to an airliner) he did not like that.
Your Dad was great, no fear, only happiness.
This was wonderful.. My mum and dad were pilots..I’m terrified of flying.. but I love aircraft .. what a fantastic surprise for your dad ..
Nice job!
Your dad is really enjoying in new mobile and Camera.
I’m so happy for you 🥳
On the 4th April 1990 I did my first solo in a Piper PA38.
I’ve just flown an airplane to 1,000ft and landed it on my own” he replied disappointedly “Oh is that it?” 😢
That's one proud Dad! This was really nice to see, thank you.
Congratulations Sir. The look on your Dad's face was priceless. Well done
Cherish your father ❤
Way to go, man! Dad must've been so proud to see you take off and land! So happy for you both!
How bad ass man. The landing was super smooth and that’s so awesome that you were able to share that with your dad
That landing was butter....nice. And dad's smile, laugh and fist pump at the end were priceless. Well done!
I just love to see how happy your father is because of your surprise ! Clear skies my friend !
Your old man is so proud and enjoying every second!
My dad passed away a couple of months ago and I would love he would have been so proud of me as your dad is of you!
The unplugging the headset part was such a smart move!! Well done!
This was beautiful to watch! Your dad is so proud of you!! What a great surprise!!
What an awesome son and a very proud dad. I love those guys.
To see the look on your dads face is priceless. He's so proud of you dude.
That must be a nice feeling flying/surprising your dad, I know he’s super proud of you. Congratulations on becoming a licensed pilot 🙏🏾👏🎉!!
Finally a youtube video worth watching! Your dad's expression is awesome. He is so proud of you! Great job!!
Lovely to see your loving relationship with your dad and well done
awesome....but would have been nice if your Dad put the cameras down for a minute or two and fully enjoy this moment :)
Hi! Some how this video came up in my feed and I’m glad it did. I loved how you surprised your dad and his face when you took off. You can tell how proud of you he is!! Congratulations!!
Same
Best part is you can see how proud and happy he is to record you and your trip. Signs of a great father.
aw man, @10:40 what a great moment... that look of joy and your pops being super proud of his son. AWESOME!
You can tell how proud the dad is. What a great video!!
What a sweet surprise precious dad
Man that was great! Your dad was so excited, that has to be the worst video he's ever taken! he was trying to record on his camera, phone, and enjoy the experience. Greatness!
Why did this make me cry? (Former jumper with 550+ skydives). And DAD! Way cool at the end that he was a pilot. What a better 'passenger' than your Dad?
Makes me so happy to see your father's proud smile. All the luck to you mate
Your Dads reaction was priceless, one proud Father right there, and congratulations! 🙂 👌 🤝
I don't know how I came across your channel 🤔 but I'm so glad I did. Bro that was really cool. Thanks for sharing 👍
Beautiful moments between a good son and a proud father
The look of that proud dad ..PRICELESS!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!🙏❤
Your dad had a smile on his face. Sure he's proud of you bud!
Makes me so happy to see people do awesome things with their fathers. I lost my dad in 2022 but we did so much together and ill never forget the things he taught me, especially when it comes to being a man. Your relationship with your father is awesome bravo guys.
I’m sorry for your loss. May your dad rest in peace 😢
He was so excited. This is hilarious. Congrats on your license!
Proud father and memorable time together. I’ll never forget the day my father & I flew together 1st of many. Enjoyed your upload!
You did a great job with all your planning and how you made it a surprise. Also, that's really nice you're so close to your family. I hope that doesn't change for many years.
No apologies required. What a great video! Your Dad's reaction to this was so good and I am happy you get to share this memory and future moments with him for years to go!
Your dads smile is priceless! I think you made his day for sure
These are memories you will always treasure. I can see how proud he was of you and how proud you were of yourself. This was a great start to, almost literally, reaching for the stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Legend has it the Dad still has the camera and phone in his hands. Great video 👌
😂
Good for you.
I took my Dad for his flight more than 50 years go.
Then he learned to fly.
Congratulations.
All the best.
Your dad was so happy. Big smiles all the way and even trying to do some selfies it looked like. That's awesome!
Awesome trick pulled on dad. Great job, great video. So much fun to watch.
Its awesome to see such a proud father, congratulations!!!
Only other fathers can fully appreciate the feeling that his dad was having and the 2 recording device thing he was doing was absolutely the best part of this video.
the dad with his camera out is just classic
Dad looks so happy! Dont think i seen him without a smile
Great surprise - congrats to you & your pleasant father! I wish I could have done this with my late dad too! 👍
This guy is good! Never let his Dad know what was going on and he did it in such a way that Dad had no clue. Loved how prepared he was for this ride. Props (you see what I did there eh?) to Dad for the obvious support. Not a single negative thing was said about the surprise. Great job y'all and congrats on the license.
Hey,you did a great job. God bless you abundantly for blessing your dad. Once in a life time opportunity you had and you did it.
Keep doing the good job. You are a blessing.
Congrats! always nice to see someone getting their wings!
Dad is so proud and you are proud of him. Great surprise.
Dad could not be prouder! Hes fucking recording with every piece of tech hes got! Great surprise! Congrats!
Great job! Absolutely LOVED! your video! Definitely one of the best videos I’ve seen on uTube, and I say this in all truth. I will follow you. You are genuine.. what a pleasure. Fun watching your dad react! That was real good!!!! You got him for sure! You did a great job planning this all out! Thank you. You are amazing!🌹
What a great surprise for your dad!
That’s the most Dad T-shirt I’ve ever seen.
Congratulations on passing! 🎉
I love this. I’m in the process of getting my ppl, for aerial survey work. Dad is my best friend.. and thinks I’m busy trying to become a ship captain (because I love being on the water) Little does he know, I prefer the skies 😉 I can’t wait to do this with him. 😅❤
My Flight Instructor Devin did survey work for a bit, his TH-cam channel is Pilot Devo, changed from CFI Live. He did most of it over Springfield Illinois. He's got some stories
@@TheRecreationalPilot I will definitely subscribe to him as well! Thank you for the recommendation. Hope to bump into you at OshKosh next year! Fly safe 😜
@@hannahfrazier4623 haha thank you I will! I should plan a trip out there with Devin, would be fun.
@@TheRecreationalPilot definitely do it! I’ll hook you guys up with some free snacks, and a nice low lead discount ☺️
In this economy that'll be more than appreciated!! And being a fat guy myself free snacks is enough to buy me out hahah
How proud your dad must have been of you. Well done to you. What a beautiful memory for you, your dad and family. Happy and safe flying always fella. ❤
Respect to the pilot for staying serious about precautions although he’s recreationally flying
If you don’t follow them you could die
Seeing a handsome father, so happy and proud was fantastic!
Once you got into the air your dad was moving his camera so much he didn’t know what to film lmao that is going to be one interesting video to rewatch lol I don’t think he held it still more than 2-3 seconds at any given time in the first half of the video lmao
