- Hi every one, shooting Squirrels here with Jack using my Wolverine R .177 12ftlb also i am after a problem fox using my Sako 75 6ppc with the Hikmicro Alpex NV scope with a PBiR Laser and spotting with the Hikmicro Falcon FH35 kindly supplied by Scott Country Internation.

Jack may be a little stiff these days but you never saw a happier and more alert companion - his enthusiasm makes me smile. As long as he is excited to be out with you, you have to take him.

That dog is so great and fun to watch. Take him with you for as long as he can possibly go. Enjoy every second of it too. Sitting home will just crush his will to live IMO.

Jacks brilliant to watch he did make me smile on this vid Simon especially at the first sighted squirrel up the tree and Jack was looking on the ground for it , but he he clicked on quick though.👍

Always nice to see an owl. They’ve become scarce in my locality. All the farmers got set-aside money from the EU to stop growing grain. No grain meant no mice and then no owls. Now because of the war in Ukraine there’s a big push to re-start grain growing, but the young farmers don’t know how to do it and they done have the machinery either.

Always good to see Jack! I enjoy so much of what you post. The thing that always moves me is the respect and compassion you show for the wildlife, both your prey and the other animals. Yes, the pests need to be taken care of, but you are never mean spirited towards them. Best to you and Jack.

Squirrels are my nemesis. I had fruit trees in So. California & they would ALWAYS make a bee line right for the Saturn Peach tree; that one seemed to be their favorite, followed by the Santa Rosa Plumb & then my Nectarine trees. One Summer I laid waste to over Three Dozen ground squirrels... the Crows ate very well that Summer I can tell you.

Good to see you and jack out and about. Great shooting, first 2years of a dog's life 1year =2years after that 1years=5years so he is about 59 but he has done a lot of running retrieving please keep taking him out he will live a lot longer and happier😃😃

Hey from the states, on our farm in the catskills squirrels do alot of damage on our witer squash and pumpkins . I use both an air rifle and 22, what I don't have is a Jack.Take care

Nice to see Jack helping out ,he looked real chuffed to retrieve those squirrels for you. That fox came in at the wrong time for him, but it couldn't have been better for you, I'm still waiting for the weather to clear up so I can zero my new alpex ,hopefully tomorrow will be the day!.

Terrible cruelty back there in the Woods - Jack should have one of those High Chairs from Shackletons or something. Any comfy chair would do, maybe a blanket as well.

We use to go squirrel hunting with a 22 rifle. It had to be a head shot or you had nothing left to eat. Once we had 3 or 4 then add in a couple of rabbits, and a pheasant you end up with a wild game feed.
It's nice to Jack out and about, especially with his camo hat... that way they never see him coming😊

I've just come across your videos, really enjoyed the air rifle ones especially, as it's what I do myself. I hope you make more of these its really good entertainment. I've just spent the weekend putting up some more squirrel feeders on my permissions, aswell as filling my existing ones and putting up trail cams. Hunting life really is great. Keep up the great shooting and videos mate

Great video Simon, good to see the old boy out and about..... the dog as well 🤣 just kidding mate. If that fox hadn't shown up I reckon you could have squeaked the Barn Owl right up to you. I've done it on many occasions and got interesting pics of them👍 and as you say better for the old dog fox to go that way than starving through a long cold winter. Oh Man! I feel this! My Best friend Peanut...Cataracts and Deaf...15 years old and a Rescue Dog...still giving me his best....He was gun shy, when we met 8 years ago.We worked through that! He is Still an awesome Hunting Partner! He still has that drive! He is LITERALLY MY INSPIRATION....Multiple Sclerosis be DAMNED! He watches You and Jack with me! As you know, i will have to decide when we will have to part ways? Not sure I will ever be able? I just hope he knows how much I love him?

This is how I usually take care of the greys have a wonder, stalk then sit and watch. Jack a such a good boy. Keep him busy he loves it. I took mine even tho they ended up under my feet.
Yumove and loxicom helped my dogs massively with the joints.
