Excellent as usual. What separates this site from other pest control sites is simons care for the environment and compassion for the animal shot. No glory there. Excellent environment maintainable that a fellow countryman appreciates
Hey up buddy. Your comment about Jack slowing you down made me smile. I wonder how many times he has thought that about you back at his peak of fitness. Great video ATB.
FairPlay Simon, your dedication to pest control can’t be faulted, two cracking specimens in great condition, but as we know they need to be kept under control for obvious reasons .
I’m always amazed at the work, effort, time and talent put into these videos, walking, carrying equipment, photography, working out drop, wind, etc I can hardly work my iPad lol 😅
Great shooting again Simon, can’t beat the crisp cold nights out. Makes the fire feel warmer when you get back, give jack a scratch round the lug from me👍🏼
Hey at 6:23 your wearing a night buddy head lamp!! those things work really nice. What a great vid, lots of foxes hitting the ground! Simon was a pleasure watching this one!!
Well done, Simon. Your productions and commentary continue to be excellent and throughout them you show your profound respect for and love of the animals. Thanks again.
Soon as that light starts fading it's not for the faint hearted this time of year !! We have taken a couple of foxes in the middle of the day last week, trying to get in the coupe. The farmer had a nice result, great shooting.
Good work Simon, As you said Foxes are usually quite predictable, but i’ve been out 5 nights before I got the one on my pals farm, every night it came from a different direction, one time it walk right past my car but i couldn’t get a safe shot at it. Last night it just turned up in the Horse field and i managed to knock it over, I’m glad they’re not all as difficult as that 🙈🏴.
yet again great video pal, Jack is better off at home now a days the cold will get to him no doubt. I'm still having trouble with the Crows but slowly they are dwindling. all the best Pal ''As always'' 👍👍👍👍
Brilliant video 💯, and I love your respect to 🦊like you say a shame they course problems, I work in the farming industry and live in a town OMG the amount of 🦊 I have cross my garden is amazing, use the same path across my lawn, some times I have gone outside and confronted one didn't bat an eyelid at me about 5ft away 😮 glad you left Jack home o🐕👍on that frosty night
Super, Simon, good to see two more fine, and they are, and we appreciate them as such, specimens down. You're right not to take your Jack out in cold or damp. It really does exacerbate their arthritis. Big Steve in Brid.
Good old Drone pro does the Buissnes again..on thease damp cold nights I use a heated band with a usb that plugs into a small battery pack and it keeps it from misting up got the idea from the camera boys when they use tele photo lense .
37 degrees Celsius here today in Australia Simon. I won't complain so much about my winter lamb protection after seeing this. I don't know why someone like Zeiss who makes cameras and great scopes can't make at least an 8X optical base mag night vision scope. Nice and humane as usual my friend.
-6 ??? No gloves ?? That's what I call dedication. Great shooting as always and you did the right thing by leaving t'old lad at home in the warm, plenty of warmer weather to come for Jack, bless 'im.
As always your shooting is something else, you would definitely get gold in the Olympic Games haha keep up the good work Simon because you’re videos are always amazing
As always Simon another cracking video and nice shooting buddy. I started a channel at the beginning of the year, totally different to this but an interest I share with many from around the globe, pipe smoking! With the odd tale chucked in and I’ve only been going a month and I’m nearing 300 subs, yeh we are a minority but the group I’ve joined is just a great bunch of like minded lads and even lasses! But one thing I didn’t realise was just how much time it takes up preparing and editing then it’s responding to all the comments left as I feel if they have taken the time to watch them it’s only right I reply. But yeh I’m enjoying the journey buddy, I should have taken up the pipe years ago!
Brilliant pal nice one and ye i always think the same about replying to a comment and to be fair i do usually keep to my word but with out sounding a bit clever at times i get like over a 1000 comments to just one video and to be honest it gets bloody hard work😂👍
Hi mate, as far as I'm concerned the dictionary definition of the word 'consistent' should have a reference to your vids as they are all great and just so enjoyable and this was no exception plus the fact that you take the time whilst braving the elements to film your shoots is so appreciated for my part and I'm sure others would agree. Must admit I'd not heard of the make Sako until I started watching your vids, they are nice bits of kit...just wish they made air rifles lol. Probably showing my age now but like the reference to the A-Team with a plan coming together. Best wishes and glad to hear that Jack is ok.
Hey Simon another great video , I also use the the 58 gr V Max on coyotes with the 243 and 6mm x 223 ( 6 x 45 ) it works good but with the 243 it’s a little explosive and does some pellet damage if not hit solid . Please give Jack a treat for me . Stay well and strong my friend !…..
Great performance out of the bullet . The 45 gr. V-Max has been excellent on the crow and rabbit size pest control. Took a little tinkering with powder and seating depth to get the accuracy needed, but that’s half the fun.
Always good to see someone who knows whats got to be done, but still has respect for the foe...unlike idiots on facebook groups for hunting who go bragging and making stupid jokes about how many they've in a night. But there are some who are like Simon and only goes out to dispatch problem foxes. Some even say it's just sport shooting and not controlling, they have a big point..cos not all are problems, only some of the idiots with the guns
Ye Jonny i think you know now i have big respect for the fox but i also know what damage they can do as i have seen it first hand but ye i try to keep things real and as yet 30 plus years down the line things seem to be just right 👌
I'm sure Jack is much happier curled up in front of the fire at his age. Also the extreme cold isn't going to do his joints much good. Best left at home. We've got an older dog and sometimes they forget they are not a puppy any more lol
brilliant again Simon, I'm still going through your back catalogue, as a retired "keeper", i enjoy your plain speaking, no nonsense approach...
G
Ye thanks again Gary bet you see some action being a keeper
Excellent as usual. What separates this site from other pest control sites is simons care for the environment and compassion for the animal shot. No glory there. Excellent environment maintainable that a fellow countryman appreciates
