Hw literally showed up last minute, missing out the rehearsal, but still got 1st place. He rocked the crowd.
Surely there had to be some rehearsal to add the light part to his performance. If it was just ad libbed, even more impressive.

W. W. his company made him busy and sick in 2018, he had so many things to do,,, It made him sick a lot and a lot of concert.... he hurts his voice because he sings too much and with out any break *2 hours of sleep...

You missed the end... where he transforms to his regular goofy self and ends up separating the mic stand from the base and is unable to put it back together so he then takes both away with him.

Loved your reaction Andy. I could see the emotion on your face (just like you could see it on Hua Hua's) as the song went into the slower and sadder melody. I also loved the performance. Attitude was dripping from him and it felt like he was serving notice to all the other contestants. They are all going to have to step up their game if they want to keep up with Hua Hua.
It was fun watching you enjoy this style of Hua. The more theatrical one you will really enjoy is Perhaps Love with Su Shiding. Also beautiful and magnetic duo with her Bells at Nanping Hill. Be sure if you have a chance to listen to the older version and see how he rearranged this. Also Idiot is another duo. Can't wait for you to react to them, and so much more to explore.
I first was introduced to Huachengyu when he was participating in The Next One by my mother in law of all people. Haha. When I watched his collaboration with Su Shi Ding in Nanping Wan Zhong, I absolutely fell in love! His singing is incredible and I felt like he had found a kindred spirit in Su Shi Ding which helped make their music so dynamic! Their "Perhaps Love" song in the final was absolutely brilliant - helping Su Shi Ding go on to win the competition.
@@w.w.2006 Hua does really well with duos. The ironic thing is he can really present a romantic atmosphere, even though he is so shy, which makes it all the more touching. He's my favorite.

a whole bunch of videos from him performing on The Next were privated or deleted yesterday :( a whole bunch gone from my playlist, im so sad. as for this performance, amazing! i hadn't seen the lyrics before. and when he slowed it down and had his hand in the light! A Jackdaw is a busybody of a small crow that pokes it's nose into everything, hence its use for a spy program. It took me an embarrassing number of watches to realize that all of those awkward moves HuaHua is making are him being a bird. The only reason I ever realized it was that I was watching his 2019 concert version of Quasimodo's Gift. During that song, he gradually became Quasimodo, twisting his body into that of a hunchback. Like you often say, he performs with his whole body.

I just saw this. When I heard he was going to synch this I thought really? Well, the middle of the song when he plays with the light is just total performance Art at it’s best.,

As he went to leave, he picked up the mic and it pulled away so, good Hua Hua too the base & the mic back with him.
I have heard him sing this in performances, his concerts and this IS THE BEST VERSION in my opinion.

Denis D no! There are 4 Episodes so far. This was the first, he won 1st, second he did Bullfighting and placed 1st,, the 3rd Episode he wrote a song in one week to uplift the people in China and he has been donating to the hospitals YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE TODAY IS NOT THE LAST DAY, the 4th episode he reworked Code Contra with his friend and named it Code in the Wild and it is like nothing he had done in this style at all! He was 3rd place but should have placed 1st. This Friday is a cover of Exaggerated and it is in Cantonese.
