I love this song so powerful and passionate. The opening whistle is extremely wonderful. It makes me feel back to the era of the Western Cowboys decades ago. The melody is beautiful and the guitar accompaniment is fantastic. The changes in each paragraph has been arranged by him perfectly. His voice is full of power and exciting. Hua Hua is indeed a rare genius in music. Thank you for your great reaction. Hope his another one reaction coming soon.

HuaHua and Zuo Li have been working together for so many years that they almost think with one mind. Some of their work in concerts is sooooo good. They not only play music well together, they also clown around well together with excellent comic timing. On a more personal note, at Zuo Li's wedding, he sang a solo to his bride, but there was no mic stand available, so Hua Chenyu functioned as the mic stand. It would have been funny, except that the bride and groom both were crying. (It was gorgeous & so moving.) Anyway, back on track, you must be a lot younger than I am. You said the whistling reminded you of Guns and Roses???? It reminded me of Gene Pitney. That's not even close to the same decade, LOL. Thanks a million for this reaction. I think this song is particularly great.

Love your reaction Andy, really appreciate the details of your comments and the effort that you put into finding the background of how the original version of this song was written in a time frame of one day in 2017. Hua Chenyu is my most favorite singer/song writer and composer.

It was good to hear that you had been pointed to his original version from "The Next". The original was an amazing accomplishment considering he had to take the old Konami video game music and turn it into a full song with vocals and he had to do it all in 24 hours. There is so much to appreciate about what he had accomplished with the original but having heard it, you can also get a greater appreciation for how much he rearranged and changed the original for this performance. BTW, the guy playing the guitar was one of the contestants on Superboy 2013 with Hua hua. I believe his name is Zuo Li and they first met and became close friends during their time on that show. Hua hua uses him whenever he wants to perform an acoustic version of one of his songs at his Mars concerts and certain TV appearances such as this one. They have remained close friends and Hua hua was his best man at his wedding.

All of the finalists are best friends now, and they really looked out for one another since the competition until now. You can say some times, reality tv competitions do have their positive side to it, even if it is some times, scripted.
Original version 24 hr to prepare...this version was 24 hr as well, right? Or not so. Thx.
@@kgem5621 As far as I know there was not a time constraint on him for this version. When he created the original version the TV show he was doing it for had placed a 24 hour limit on him because he was an established and already well known artist and what he brought back would be compared to what the amateur contestant would perform. It was sort of a way to even the playing field (so to speak). The contestants on "The Singer" TV program were already all known and established professionals so there was no need to even the field. Hua Hua may have worked better under pressure and may have elected to turn the song into an unplugged version in 24 hours but not to my knowledge.He took his performances on "The Singer" very seriously and did not take his competition for granted so my guess would be that he took much longer than 24 hours to perfect this unplugged version. That does not take away from how amazing it was that he created the original in 24 hours from a music loop of chords for a video game.

I really like Hua Chenyu's singing style.A guitar and a voice have the effect of a whole band. Guitar Hand Chord is not easy, the two spent some time before grinding into this good effect.But the audiovisual effect is surprisingly good! I love both 2017 & 2020 version , Hua can sing a song with several versions but all in great arrangements.

This was a video game Code Contra that had no song and you have the correct info on CODE CONTRA which was more Rap.
I saw a video where he was explaining how he sings and how he positions his tongue to help this person sing. It might have been in THE COMING ONE where singers compete to get to a singer to be mentored. Thank you again and please maybe do more than one on a day as the Finale will blow you away!!!! (I thought the whistle at the end might have added atmosphere, who knew he found whistle like that!)

If you have nothing to do, a reaction to Queen is always cool. Last week there was a Queen/Freddie Mercury tribute and 500.000 people have watched it already. 29 years after Freddie’s death but still his content is watched by many. I think you have heard of them, I am pretty sure actually but still cool to react to them. For example: Bohemian Rhapsody or Killer Queen.
I always compare HuaHua with Freddie Mercury, the stage performance, composing skills and uniqueness and mixing different music styles remind me of him. But I must say I am more a fan of HuaHua, but I am only a real fan of two singers and the other one being Freddie, the legend that lives in my heart.

MISIA and Zhou Shen are great indeed and in my opinion the only two who were qualified to compete with HuaHua in the finale. I really like them both as well:
Zhou Shen of course angelic voice and high notes.
MISIA great techniques and big vocal range as well. Although I must say sometimes I think her techniques and high notes are over-used which makes it not always as great to listen to, but I like her sing emotional songs the most.
